LMAO! Mariah Carey has just released a remix version of French Montana's Unforgettable with her vocals singing the chorus!
The "coincidence" of release week is too much!!

Symphony must be the biggest hit that was never a Hot 100 hit - not including the airplay only songs from 90s What about Cinema? "Atomic Dog" by George Clinton is probably the most well-known Bubbling Under hit, and Pearl Jam's "Evenflow" spent 52 weeks (!) on the BU chart with a peak of #108.

Ha ha I forgot Evenflow wasn't even Pearl Jam's biggest Bubbling Under hit! The crazy thing is that those runs were over half a decade after those songs were popular; it was because the band belatedly released CD singles for them in the late 90s.

What is it with YouTube views this year? It just seems like they've skyrocketed and 1 billion is the new 100 mi. Are some people just discovering YouTube now or is it maybe related to third world countries?

Are some people just discovering YouTube now or is it maybe related to third world countries? Youtube has been constantly growing over the years. Views get bigger every year. There's a lot of growth in the developing countries. Brazil is the largest country in terms of views, followed by India and then the US. Lots of other countries like Mexico/Peru/Chile/Colombia/Argentina contribute lots of views as well as the likes of Vietnam/Indonesia/South Korea/Japan/Taiwan. Lots more South American & Asian countries making up larger amounts of the views than Western nations (USA/UK/Spain/France/Germany etc).

^It's her darkest song to date. An anti-Shake It Off of sorts. It remains to be seen what kind of reception it gets ...

That song is so dark, I love it. It's like Blank Space on steroids.
Though it's very, VERY different. The backlash is already setting in, it'll probably turn off lots of die-hard fans due to it's extremely different sound. But, I see her gaining lots of appreciation for changing up her sound, as it's not typical Taylor. We'll see how sales go, it's #1 on iTunes right now.

Congrats. As for Taylor, I agree with Rolling Stone. But I personally think it's more like Blank Space, because that song also embraced how the media makes her out to be crazy. I describe it as Blank Space and Bad Blood mixed and took up a few notches.

Imagine what the music video will look like? I hope Taylor and Big Machine have something special in terms of a music video.

Apparently the MV is one of the most expensive ever which is execiting. There's no way this doesn't have a massive week 1 sales week, it's number one in less than 30 minutes on iTunes

It has 16 weeks locked, 17 is a toss up but it's extremely unlikely. Taylor instantly went to #1 on iTunes, she's selling very well right now. Plus she's releasing a music video tomorrow, that and combined with the lyric video along with Spotify. Streaming numbers are looking pretty good.

And murders people. Something like that. I also expect lots of blacks and reds, akin to the IDWLF video.

Hm you went too far with that one I don't know, "The old Taylor is dead" remember, she's in her dark and edgy era, and I might just f**king love it! That line really caught me off guard. I was listening to the song, and I was like "oh, this is different, a bit darker but nothing too unusual." Then I heard that line and my jaw dropped.

I think IDWLF was a warning signal that Taylor was going to take a darker approach to her music. Doing a song for 50 Shades was a definite warning she would take a dark approach. I was shocked at first I'll admit, but after thinking about it, I felt it fit that she go for a darker, "bad girl" era now after all that has happened. This is Taylor post-1989, darker, much more edgier, and almost as good, if not better.
