Anyway, this is obviously her PRISM / Born This Way / Femme Fatale era. Witness will be her next album.

Also, Witness sold 800k WW so far. Don't be so sure that Reputation will debut with 800k+. Remember, LWYMMD debuted with half the sales of her previous lead singles. With 3/3 songs so far, she's shown that she's lost her ability for writing smart lyrics. Gorgeous in particular is horribly written. I guess it could be considered her "Witness era" in that sense. No one ever cared about Katy's lyrics though, but Taylor fans always loved her for her witty lyrics "that cut through glass". We don't know how many she's losing currently from her mediocre/polarizing output.

In regards to the look what you made me do, try to remember digital sales are dead. It’s first week was huge digitally even if it was a decline from her previous lead singles, which were during times were the digital industry was still stready. It was also reported that somewhere in 75k-100k+ range was deducted from her debut week because of pre orders. Her last three albums opened with over a million. I really can’t see this one opening below 800k.

With the release of the video (which looks like it’ll be EPIC), I guess we all can finally be put to rest as of what the second single is. The only thing they need to do now is put it back on TTH. Why was it even removed/replaced in the first place? That was a bad decision on their part. Hoping for a good radio, streaming, and sales bump starting later this week! :)

So if a high budget music video was shot for this, then they had a plan to release this as a single at some point. Makes me wonder what the actual hell is going on behind the scenes then. Her team literally has the power to withhold songs from radio as evidenced with "Bad Blood" and "Wildest Dreams" from last era. They have the power to kill a song as evidenced with "Look What You Made Me Do." Why would they let radio continue to play this and increase its burn rate before it even gets a chance as a real single? It'll die in the holiday freeze, choked to death by its high burn rate. Part of me then wonders if they had planned this all along so it would be dead by January in time to release single #3 in a similar fashion to "Out of the Woods," but if they had planned to release this anyway, why did they cancel the rhythmic adds date that was supposed to be just last week? Why is this no longer on Today's Top Hits? Why is "Gorgeous" even there?

I don't understand what the f**k is going on with this era right now.

I believe it's both. Spotify can choose what to add and remove, barring any label input. So, like:

Spotify: Hey, let's add this cool new LANY song to Today's Top Hits!
Some Big Label: Hey, our artist, Taylor Swift is releasing a new song this Friday, it needs to be on TTH.
Spotify: Okay, we'll get it added!
Spotify: Well, now we have two songs to add. The other big label already told us to pull the old Miley Cyrus song off, but we need to remove another to make room for the Taylor Swift song.
Spotify: Looks like Liam Payne's label didn't ask us to put on his old one, so we can take it off anytime we want, let's do that.

Gorgeous is a much better choice.

Honestly I don't like any of it. I don't think this is a good direction for her and ultimately I think it will hurt her.

But the song Gorgeous at least has a chance of bridging both pop and the fan base that likes her as wholesome. I see that as the best chance for a hit that sticks from this album.

The first one and this one may be hot for a short while but I see no longevity for them.
