Where are you getting this from? This is a s**t ton of new songs, btw. key word: Predictions Oh, oops. Didn't notice that. I was really getting my hopes up and was about to alert Rap Genius. Those don't really seem to be in line with Simm's predictions, also seems like an abnormally high amount of debuts for a single week, but I would love for that all to be true.

Points - simmnfierzig formula rockstar 51,900 (+10.8%) Havana 48,100 (+18.7%) 1.077:1 leadPoints - HDD's formula *adjusted rockstar 52,700 (+11.5%) Havana 49,400 (+17.5%) 1.067:1 leadThis is way closer than I thought. Does this already account for the rockstar video boost? With the rate Havana is climbing on radio, could she edge over rockstar for a week? 2. (+1) CAMILA CABELLO - Havana f/Young Thug (146.358) (+3.580) 4. (=) POST MALONE - Rockstar f/21 Savage (120.631) (+0.851) Two weeks ago, they were basically equal in audience, and the gap is increasing fast. One day of video, so most of the boost is coming this week. Havana's remix is free falling on iTunes, so the sales gap won't be as big as last week's 27k. Camila's only chance this week is if rockstar starts to fall on radio and Havana keeps gaining 3M+ daily. Anyway, I think she will hit #1 soon. It's a Black Beatles vs. Starboy / Hello vs. Sorry / Happy vs. All Of Me scenario. Havana's going #1 after its peak in points when rockstar starts to fall faster. Rockstar has the 8th week almost on lock.

Idk if rockstar will fall faster than Havana but I can't see anything else right now coming for the #1 so Camila might get lucky.

Weeknd got lucky af on the closest week in recent history, powered by a discount that doubled sales (discounts can't boost sales by like 60k anymore and they also already have discounted) and BB fast losses because it was a meme that fell fast.

It is like in the sense that Havana may hit #1 two or three weeks after its peak in performance. Starboy's peak was after the album release two weeks before going #1.

Huh? Weren't the AMAs on the 19th? That would put it in this Hot 100s timeframe: sales/streaming 17-23 airplay 20-26. Wait nevermind. Got my weeks mixed up. lol, it's okay I almost believed you for a second until I thought really hard about it. This past week both drug on and flew by.

Tbh I don't even know how a song with lyrics like rockstar goes #4 on overall AI. Not to start any controversy, but I think part of it is because the main artist is white so it seems less threatening and more radio friendly.

Post's rumored album release in December could give some boost to Rockstar, we'll see.
I think Perfect could very easily be the next #1, with its remix coming this Friday.

Interesting fact, 2017 is the lowest year for long-running #1's in the 2010's. We've only had 3 number-one singles surpass 3 weeks at the top; Shape Of You (12 weeks), Despacito (16 weeks), Rockstar (7 weeks so far). Starboy, Bad and Boujee, Humble, That's What I Like, I'm The One, Bodak Yellow, and Look What You Made Me Do spent 3 or less weeks at the top. I didn't count Black Beatles as it hit #1 in 2016. That's pretty insane when you think about it.

3 more weeks til the third double digit run at #1 this year Reminds us of 2005, another year dominated by Urban music. “Let Me Love You” 9 weeks “Candy Shop” 9 weeks “We Belong Together” 14 weeks “Gold Digger” 10 weeks

Reminds us of 2005, another year dominated by Urban music. “Let Me Love You” 9 weeks “Candy Shop” 9 weeks “We Belong Together” 14 weeks “Gold Digger” 10 weeks Except this time, the non-urban songs are the ones reaching the top for long periods. Just SOY and Despacito together was over 50% of the chart year, so I wouldn't say Urban "dominated" the year. Despite the fact that there were more Urban hits this year than pop hits. :sip2:

An urban song can't do as well as SOY or whatever because they don't get radio play, but very few pop songs do get urban levels of streaming. Urban level streaming + radio longevity = AT list

I only did a quick check, but I think this would be the first. I mean, if you look only at 1 out of the 100 positions that the Hot 100 has, then sure.

Despite the fact that there were more Urban hits this year than pop hits. Looking at the year end top 20: {Spoiler}
Pop/EDM/etc 1-Shape of You: 1(12)/44/33 2-Despacito: 1(16)/43/25 5-Closer: 2(2)/37/17 7-Something Just Like This: 3(1)/38/18 9-Believer: 4(2)/40/14 11-Say You Won’t Let Go: 11(2)/49/0 19-Starboy: 1(1)/22/12 14-24K Magic: 4(5)/36/10 20-Stay: 7(3)/31/8
#1 on Pop 3-That’s What I Like: 1(1)/42/28 13-I’m the One: 1(1)/21/14
Top 10 on Pop 12-Unforgettable: 3(2)/31/16
Urban 15-XO TOUR Llif3: 8(3)/33/10 16-Mask Off: 5(2)/31/12 17-Black Beatles: 1(6)/18/12 18-Bodak Yellow: 1(3)/19/14 6-Humble: 1(1)/32/15 4-Bad and Boujee: 1(3)/36/14 10-Congratulations: 8(2)/45/6
Country 8-Body Like a Backroad: 6(1)/41/8
Even if you count Pop #1s like I'm The One and That's What I Like, it would only be 10 urban vs 10 non-urban. I'm not saying that it's not successful currently, but it's not over 50% yet. Even in this week's top 10, there are only 3 Urban songs. TWIL is a stretch to call urban but how the hell are you saying I'm the one isn't? It's three rap verses intermittently interrupted by a short Bieber chorus, produced by a hip-hop producer who has the main credit on the song

Even in this week's top 10, there are only 3 Urban songs, and Rockstar is about to reach the top 10 on pop. 9 Hip-Hop songs and 1 R&B song in the Top 20 is 50% urban. Not to mention that Top 20 is also not quite representative of the charts as a whole. (Although a lot better than looking solely at the #1 song of each week). But I do agree with you that Hip-Hop + R&B is likely not over 50% of the charts this year. Although I do believe that Hip-Hop does slightly edge out Pop music this year, which is pretty amazing and might be a first. Especially amazing considering that last year the spread was 27.6% Hip-Hop and 37.3% Pop. And 2015 was 23.2% Hip-Hop with 35.6% Pop. (Both of these based on iTunes genres and Hot 100 points).

NEW Charting Songs Predictions: 27- Échame La Culpa - Luis Fonsi 63- The Beautiful And Damned - G Eazy 70-74 - LUV IS RAGE 2 New Songs - Lil Uzi 76- Save That S**t - Lil Peep 80- End Game - Taylor Swift 83- Benz Truck - Lil Peep 85- Awful Things - Lil Peep 88- Boss - Lil Pump 90- I Miss You - Clean Bandit 92- Faking It - Calvin Harris 95- No Smoke - NBA Youngboy 97- Legends - Kelsea Ballerini 98- D Rose - Lil Pump 99- New Freezer - Rich The Kid ft THE GOAT 100- Why - Sabrina Carpenter Man it looks like G-Easy is getting a miraculous second wind for 2018. I thought he was just gonna disappear to the bottom half of the hot rap chart after Me, Myself & I but I guess that’s not the case.
