Finally sent mine!
Lots of great music, and in a way I'm surprised at how some songs have ended in my final listen... Interesting to see others' opinions.
A couple of songs I missed from the RD: Hand to Mouth (one of my favs off Faith, which I believe was the last single as it ranked in AT40 --right?), Roxanne (not that I'm a huge fan of that version, but it was one of his final singles back home...)

Hey gang! It's that time! The first ever George Michael rankdown is about to begin!

I had 19 total submissions for this rankdown (18 of ya'll and myself). It was certainly interesting seeing where everyone placed the songs.

I used an inverse point system. Since the list was 50 songs, on each of your lists I gave the top pick 50 points, the second 49, the third 48 and so on...

Miraculously there were no ties!

I will be starting the reveal today and will be ranking 5 songs/day. The plan is to finish up February 8^th (I have a busy February 4th and won't be able to post that day).

No major surprises.
True Faith was a first listen. I love New Order’s original, and I was very interested in George’s take on it... I couldn’t be more disappointed! What happened? His voice is almost unrecognizable. The melody and nostalgic undertone of the original are completely gone. Clear #50 for me.
Young Guns was good campy music to me. Wham rap was more laughable campy

I am surprise John and Elvis are dead is so low. It is really nice song... similar to those on Older album. Jazzy, smooth feeling

I misplaced True Faith. I think I heard no autotuned version which is very nice, but I can not find it anymore. Really one of his worst songs...

No major losses thus far. None of these songs are outright bad, though, except maybe Wham Rap which is just too much of a cheesefest for rme (which is really saying something, given my penchant for all things nostalgic cheese).

True Faith was particularly disappointing because I can tell there is a really beautiful vocal buried underneath, but the vocoder overlay was wholly unnecessary and didn't fit the song.
