How much sales does a song need to chart in the Hot 100? 25k? Even 1k but with huge amount of bought youtube views.

Without any other metrics, you need ~30k. The Total Eclipse of the Heart cover, which had basically nil streaming and wasn't sent to radio, debuted at #99 with 31,000 sales.

If I Fall Apart ends up hitting the top 10 at a later point, when was the last occurrence that an album produced a Hot 100 top 10 after a single from the followup album had done so? Where are most of the point for "MotorSport" coming from? I know streaming, but it isn't all that high at Spotify. It's #2 on Apple Music, and it will receive points from the video as well. kworb.net/charts/apple_s/us.html

Simm never puts the artists in his post, which can be a bit confusing for the debuts. I'mma try to clear it up for you guys:
54-Never Be The Same = Camila Cabello 56-Go Legend = Big Sean 69-You Make It Feel Like Christmas = Gwen Stefani 76-Untouchable = Eminem 85-Ice Tray = Quality Control 88-Pull Up N Wreck = NOT A DEBUT 89-Big Bidness = Big Sean 90-Dark Knight Dummo = Trippie Redd 99-So Good = Big Sean??? 100-A Girl Like You = I have no idea. Justin Bieber? Easton Corbin?

If All I Want for Christmas is You hits the top 10, it will be the first time a recurrent song has done so since the chart week of May 14, 2016, when When Doves Cry (#7) and Purple Rain (#4) ascended following Prince's death. The only other occurrence of this was during the chart weeks of February 25 and March 3, 2012, when I Will Always Love You re-entered at #7 and subsequently surged to #3. It will also be the first time a recurrent song enters the top 10 without being prompted by a death. Who wants to bet the article will have basically this statistic with the conditionals removed? After reading this, no need to check Billboard. Lol😄😘😉

Go back further there are several examples of songs hitting the top 10 for the first time in a second chart run for reasons other than death.

Yaas at New Rules, Sky Walker, LOVE, & The Weekend most likely going to make gains Thats a set of songs I really want to see do well and possibly make top 10, if not top 15 maybe
Also I just realized Miguel never even made the top 15 with Adorn or any of his solo songs, only making it their by featuring on Mariah's "Beautiful".

What's crazy about "AIWFCIY" likely finally becoming a top 10 hit is how it has been top 10 in so many metrics already. The year it was released it hit #9 at Top 40 and #6 at AC. It was top 10 on Digital Songs several years in the 00s, including getting to #1 during the 2005 holiday season. It has made the top 10 in streaming several times in the past few years. So, all of that without ever making the top 10. Crazy.

I'm guessing "Perfect Symphony" with Andrea Bocelli will also count towards the total points of "Perfect"? Yet another version of "Perfect"; it really seems like Ed is desperate to keep that #1, lol. I really wanted "rockstar" to get to 10 weeks at #1, though. :(

I really wanted "rockstar" to get to 10 weeks at #1, though. Just seems like a really weird gimmick. Somebody earlier was talking about how there is kind of a grey area between a remix and just an entirely different song. Like how Black Barbies obviously doesn't count towards Black Beatles. I'm thinking Ed is right on the line of that grey area right now.

I can't really say my opinion, since I haven't heard the symphony version of the song. Even if it doesn't count, though, "Perfect" is still gaining fast on radio, while "rockstar" is on its way down on everything, so, even if this version does not count, "Perfect" will probably return to #1 in a couple weeks. It's just a question of who will be #1 these next couple of weeks, and that will depend on whether or not all three versions will count towards total sales and streams.

If the "remix" makes it a materially different song, I won't count

I just listened to a snippet of it, and it doesn't sound very different from the original at all, so I imagine it will count.

If the "remix" makes it a materially different song, I won't count Well what determines if it is materially a different song? Where do we draw the line? What do we base it on? Over on Spotify, "Perfect" and "Perfect Duet" chart seperate. But I don't think that was ever the case with Despacito.

Technically, it will happen this week with Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas landing a top 10 hit well after Daydream The only similar instance I can think of is "The Hills" becoming a top 10 hit after "Can't Feel My Face", but those were on the same album.

Per the revised Hot 100 policy of treating remixes as separate entries, the chart managers on Dec 1, 2001 stated that the guidelines are based on lyrics and melody.
