This is aimed at some of those "ahhh, sexual accusations were made against this person on the chart. You're all terrible people" posters from last week. 

I'm tryna find out if they care about sexual abuse, or if they only care about it when it's somebody they already don't like.

Only speaking for myself, I see a huge difference if someone has one accuser against him/her and someone who has been found guilty in court. I also give a bit more lenience when it's one accuser (especially one with ties to a manager who was just fired) versus multiple accusers. To call someone a sexual predator when there is one accuser with a potential agenda and nothing has been done legally is kinda ridiculous to me. We also all know Mariah wears lingerie like most people wear sweaters, so her being in lingerie isn't the same as it would be for out people. That isn't to excuse this incident if it in fact happened, it's just that there are a lot of reasons to have some hesitation about this specific accusation.

I agree completely. There's so many level's to this, and if I thought a good number of people here actually felt seriously about the topic, then I could go into great detail about how it's reported on, how it can effect our world in the coming years, etc. But this really ain't the right place for it. 

I'm also a little more lenient on somebody who has zero accusers, regardless on whether or not they were found guilty of vaguely worded court charges and released to the public the next day.

Interestingly enough, the actual news about what exactly happened with 6ix9ine came out this morning a few hours before I posted, unbeknown to me. 

Honestly, there was never any evidence at all that 6ix9ine was a "child f**ker". So that should definately be something you get blocked for, imo. Or at least some sort of a warning or something, if this site is going to block people for calling celebs "discount Rihanna".

Long story short. 6ix9ine was filmed slapping the girl's ass while she was performing oral sex on somebody else. It has apparently been confirmed by Jezebel and DJ Ak. That is why he was never put in jail or anything like that.

I guess you haven't realized that not everyone has to hold the same view. Just because you think that doesn't mean others do. And if you really want the answer to your question, I care because i see it all as related. I think if I support the music of someone who commits sexual assault (or whatever other offense), I am indirectly supporting those actions and more so allowing those actions to continue. If I have friends who were raped - and I do - how would it make them feel if I play songs by people who committed rape? How would they not feel i was going against them in some way?

There's definitely inconsistencies with who gets support and who doesn't. John Lennon and James Brown remain gods while Chris Brown holds his reputation as a woman beater. So much comes down to the overall general reputation of the artist and how okay we are listening to music by someone who has that sort of negative reputation. There are Chris Brown songs I like but I feel kind of iffy listening to them. I can like songs by rapists but there's something about listening to them that ruins the experience. Some of us can separate that from the music while others of us can't.
