It extends Harry's lead for his longest-running solo Number 1 single.
Harry Styles makes it a third consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with As It Was.
The lead single from the upcoming Harry’s House extends its lead as Harry’s longest-running solo Number 1 hit in the UK, following his headline set at Coachella festival last weekend. It ends its third week as the most streamed track in the UK still, with over 7.3 million streams. See Harry’s Official Charts history in full.
This means Jack Harlow is still waiting patiently for a chance to strike, with First Class holding steady (2), Aitch and Ashanti’s Baby rebounds one spot (3) and Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran are on a roll, with Bam Bam hitting a new peak today (8).
Outside the Top 10, Tate McRae’s She’s All I Wanna Be continues its upward trajectory, jumping three spots to a new peak (14), while David Guetta, Ella Henderson & Becky Hill’s collaboration Crazy What Love Can Do also jumps three to a new best placing (17).
This week’s highest new entry is courtesy of Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer-Smith, whose Flowers debuts at Number 18. It’s her second UK chart entry following the Top 10 hit Fingers Crossed.
There are also new peaks for Charlie Puth’s Light Switch flicking up one spot (25), while US singer and actress Dylan Conrique is this week’s highest climber with viral track Birthday Cake ascending six (30).
Sigala also continues to hit new heights with Melody up three (31) and finally, Tyga & Doja Cat rise five with Freaky Deaky (38) becoming Tyga’s eighth UK Top 40 hit and Doja’s 11th.

But can hits on the rise from Cat Burns and Bad Boy Chiller Crew provide a challenge?
Harry Styles’ As It Was secures a month-long stint at Number 1 in the UK.
Today, the track achieves its fourth consecutive week at the top of the Official Singles Chart, where it is once again the most-streamed track in the country with 7.2 million streams. Harry has also just unveiled the full tracklist to upcoming album Harry’s House – check out the full details here.
But are we witnessing the rise of a track that could topple Harry? Cat Burns’ viral breakthrough chart smash Go rises up two places today to a new peak (3), while Bad Boy Chiller Boy rebound four places back into the Top 10 with BMW (7).
Elsewhere, following its inclusion in the new series of Top Boy plus a brand-new remix featuring Albums Chart-topping rapper Nines, Potter Payper’s Gangsteritus is this week’s big climber, vaulting a massive 28 places to Number 12. It’s the first ever Top 20 hit for both Potter and for featured artist Tiggs Da Author.
Ed Sheeran gains his 54th UK Top 40 entry today with 2 Step (13) following a new remix featuring Lil Baby, while Lauren Spencer-Smith’s Flowers continues to rise (17) and The Kid LAROI’s Thousand Miles earns the Australian singer his fourth Top 40 hit (21).
Rising indie pop artist Leah Kate earns her first ever Official UK Top 40 entry this week as 10 Things I Hate About You climbs twelve to Number 30, and Latto’s Big Energy ft. Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled also finally cracks the Top 40, rising eight to Number 33. It’s Latto’s first, Khaled’s eighth and Mariah’s 40th Top 40 single.
Finally, two rising tracks reach further new peaks in the UK: Balling by Vibe Chemistry (35) and Tyga and Doja Cat’s Freaky Deaky (37).

As Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, Latto and Diplo see big climbs
Harry Styles reigns atop the Official Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks with As It Was, edging ever-closer to matching Encanto’s seven-week stint with We Don’t Talk About Bruno earlier this year.
In the week the star announced an exclusive London show to coincide with the release of his upcoming album Harry’s House, As It Was racked up 7 million streams.
Future storms straight into the Top 10 with Drake and Tems collaboration Wait for U (8). His second UK Top 10 single to date, could the track prove Harry’s biggest threat yet and topple his Number 1 status in the coming weeks? See Future’s full Official Charts history here.
Another track to watch comes courtesy of Lizzo’s disco-fuelled About Damn Time. Vaulting a massive 52 places up the chart to Number 15 in its third week, the song becomes her fifth UK Top 40 to date. If it continues to grow so quickly, it could outperform her current chart peak achieved with 2019 single Good As Hell (7). Ed Sheeran’s 2Step also continues its ascent, reaching a new peak this week (12).
Finally, 20-year-old Washington native Benson Boone boasts his first-ever Official Singles Chart entry with In the Stars (21), as Latto’s Big Energy climbs to a new best (28) and Diplo and Miguel’s collaboration Don’t Forget My Love makes the Top 40 for the first time since its release in February (39).

Plus new entries from Taylor Swift and Jack Harlow.
Harry Styles is racing ahead of the competition once again – he’s looking to secure a massive sixth consecutive week at Number 1 with As It Was.
But could Harry’s bestie Lizzo about to enter the conversation as a future challenger for the top? About Damn Time could be this week’s big climber – up 11 to Number 4.
Taylor Swift’s surprise release This Love (Taylor’s Version) is set to become this week’s highest new entry, currently at Number 12.
David Guetta, Ella Henderson and Becky Hill’s Crazy What Love Can Do is also on the rise, up to a new peak of Number 16 at the midweek mark.
And following the debut of this second studio album Come Home The Kids Miss You, Jack Harlow could secure two new entries; Churchill Downs featuring Drake (17) and Dua Lipa (24).
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Noticed the UK charts credited the "Big Energy" remix starting with its second week on the chart. I thouth the UK didn't list remix credits? I recall when "Levitating" ranked No. 39 the week of The Blessed Madonna mix (which generated most of the activity that week), just Dua Lipa was credited. Was there a change since that time?

Lizzo also cracks the UK Top 10 for the first time with viral new disco bop It's About Damn Time!
Harry Styles makes it to a mammoth six consecutive weeks at Number 1 in the UK with As It Was.
The lead single from Harry’s House once again leads the charge on the Official Singles Chart, and remains the most-streamed track in the country, with over 6.8 million streams to its name. See Harry’s Official Charts history in full here.
Louisville rapper Jack Harlow also remains at Number 2 with the Fergie-sampling First Class today, but the release of his sophomore album Come Home The Kids Miss You also sees him gain two new entries in the Top 40; Churchill Downs featuring Drake (19) and Dua Lipa (33).
It was also About Damn Time for a Lizzo comeback - and she doesn’t disappoint. Lizzo today gains her second UK Top 10 hit as About Damn Time rises up 11 to a new peak of Number 4 bolstered by the song’s viral dance trend on TikTok. Can it rise higher next week, and maybe even challenge her bestie Harry for Number 1?
Outside the Top 10, David Guetta, Ella Henderson and Becky Hill continue to rise with Crazy What Love Can Do up two (15), Lauren Spencer-Smith’s Flowers skips up one (18) and Latto, Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled inch one step closer to cracking the Top 20 with Big Energy (21).
Ahead of the release of his new album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers today, Kendrick Lamar’s taster single The Heart - Pt. 5 debuts at Number 24, giving the acclaimed rapper his 17th Top 40 hit.
Two rising hits also crack the UK Top 40 for the first time today; George Ezra’s Green Green Grass jumps twelve spots (31) but Whitechapel rapper Benzz has this week’s biggest gainer with viral hit Je m’Appelle (34).
Finally, Tyga and Doja Cat continue to make gains with the featherlight Freaky Deaky hitting a new highest peak of Number 36.

Plus Sam Ryder's SPACE MAN takes flight following the UK's record-breaking Eurovision success.
Cat Burns and her breakthrough hit Go could mount a challenge to Harry Styles claiming Number 1 for a seventh week. Less than 2,000 chart sales separate Go, currently at Number 2, and As It Was.
Read more about Cat Burns' journey to stardom with the lo-fi sleeper hit Go in our interview with the rising singer-songwriter here.
Following the debut of his long-awaited new album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar aims for three new entries in the Top 10; United In Grief (3), N95 (4) and Die Hard (6).
In reaction to the UK’s second place finish at Eurovision last night, Sam Ryder’s SPACE MAN is aiming to shoot straight into the Top 10 at Number 8. It would be the first UK Eurovision entry to crack the Top 10 since Scooch in 2007.
Emo rockers My Chemical Romance returned with a surprise relesse Foundations of Decay, which is heading for a Number 14 debut.
Tion Wayne and La Roux also aim high with IFTK, currently tracking to enter the Top 20 at Number 18.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Harry Styles now ties with We Don't Talk About Bruno for the longest-running Number 1 of the year so far.
After a nail-biting finish in what proved to be the most exciting chart battle of the year so far, Eurovision hero Sam Ryder is just pipped to UK Number 1 by Harry Styles’ As It Was.
While Harry Styles made a strong start to the week, momentum following his Eurovision performance saw Essex singer Sam nudge ahead midweek, with Harry reclaiming the lead again at the final whistle.
Just like at last weekend’s ceremony, he may not have clinched first place, but it’s safe to say Sam Ryder has captured the UK (and Europe’s) heart following his success at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. This week, SPACE MAN rockets up to Number 2 becoming the highest-charting UK Eurovision entry since Gina G’s chart-topping Ooh Ahh…Just A Little Bit in 1996. Sam even outperforms previous Eurovision winners Katrina & The Waves whose 1997 winning hit Love Shine A Light peaked at Number 3. SPACE MAN claims the UK’s most-downloaded song of the week, landing Number 1 on the Official Download Chart.
Speaking on breaking any stigma around Eurovision, Sam tells OfficialCharts.com: “We wanted to take on this negative Eurovision stigma in the UK – this habitual loop of cynicism and telling ourselves Europe doesn’t like the UK.
"That was absolutely not the case, we don’t subscribe to that narrative whatsoever. The result gives strength to that idea. We’ve stripped away at the negativity and shone a bit of light in its place. Eurovision is my favourite thing in the world – I’m so stoked that I got to be a part of this story with my friends and my team.”
And speaking about his chart rival Harry Styles, Sam adds: “I feel like what Harry stands for, as a fan of his and listening to his music, he stands for the same things that Eurovision celebrates; a freedom of expression, of inclusivity. A celebration of music, joy and togetherness”.
Commenting on the success of the song, co-writer Amy Wadge also tells OfficialCharts.com: “It feels like a bit of music history. To be part of something that’s culturally shifted the public’s view on Eurovision, is so lovely. We’ve ignored this amazing opportunity for artists and songwriters for too long.”
Eurovision and BBC Radio 1’s Official Chartpresenter Scott Mills, says: “I’m so proud of Sam Ryder for securing the UK’s Official Number 2 spot with Space Man. It’s the UK’s first Eurovision chart contender from this millennium and Sam deserves it so much after his incredible performance in Turin. We at Radio 1 have got behind Sam like no other Eurovision entry and the support for him right from the start has been amazing!”
Securing Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart for a seventh consecutive week, Harry Styles now ties with Disney’s Encanto sensation We Don’t Talk About Bruno for the longest-running Number 1 of the year so far. As It Was reigns with over 6.4 million streams. See Harry’s Official Charts history in full here.
Following the release of his first album in five years, Mr Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar debuts three new tracks in the chart this week, including two in the Top 10; N95 (6), Die Hard (7) and United in Grief (14).
Further down the chart, we also have a new entry from Tion Wayne and La Roux with IFTK (16) it’s Tion’s eighth Top 20 hit in the UK, and La Roux’s first in 13 years, since Bulletproof hit Number 1 in 2009 (the song samples her debut single, In For The Kill).
George Ezra continues to hit new heights with Green Green Grass up nine to a new peak (22),Benson Boone rises one with In The Stars (24) and Benzz’s viral hit Je M’appelle also jumps eight to it’s best chart position yet (26).
After an eight-year hiatus, My Chemical Romance return with new single The Foundations of Decay (37) which becomes the band’s ninth Top 40 hit, Eurovision winners The Kalush Orchestra gain their first UK chart entry with Stefania (38) and finally, Tom Grennan’s Remind Me rises three to crack the Top 40 for the first time (40).

As It Was is on track to dethrone We Can't Talk About Bruno as 2022's biggest Number 1.
Harry Styles could claim all Top 3 spots on the Official Singles Chart this week following the release of his third solo album Harry’s House.
The former One Direction member would be the first artist to achieve this feat since Ed Sheeran in March 2017, and he'd be only the third in history to do so (Justin Bieber was the first).
As It Was is on track to become the longest-running Number 1 of 2022, overtaking We Don’t Talk About Bruno from Disney’s Encanto.
Harry aside, Tion Wayne could see his sixth Top 10 with IFTK, which would also be La Roux’s first Top 10 in nearly 13 years. The rising hit samples the singer's 2009 Number 2 single In for the Kill.

N-Dubz's comeback single Charmer could debut at Number 15, which would be the trio's first Top 40 hit in 11 years.
Aitch’s 1989 – which samples The Stone Roses and features Shaun Ryder - could debut at Number 25.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Adele's album already out the top 50 and below Drake & Doja Cat in her home country? What in the world.
Also nearly half the top 10 is compilation albums. A mess and it's really surprising none of these countries have put proper rules in place yet.
Please help me understand the logic of putting albums like Encanto on a separate Compilation chart, but then letting Greatest Hits compete on the chart with singular studio albums?

^Well, it seems that their definition of compilation is Soundtracks plus the Eurovision Song Contest. No Greatest Hits ...

It has to do with the "various artist" crediting

It has to do with the "various artist" crediting I get it, the logic or whatever of being against multiple artists on an album competing on a chart of albums by a single artist. But then there’s Greatest Hits compilations — which in the streaming era is top streamed tracks across multiple albums sliced together competing with top streamed tracks from single studio albums.

A true sign of his superstar status, Harry reigns supreme with Harry's House and As It Was dominating the Official Singles and Albums Chart top spots.
The Official Charts Company is happy to announce today that Harry Styles has become the latest artist to score the relatively rare Official Chart Double.
Harry joins an illustrious group of artists to top both Albums and Singles charts in the UK with his third solo record Harry’s House and blockbuster hit As It Was.
One of the biggest signifiers of an act entering the top of their game and garnering unparalleled mass public support, Harry lands straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with Harry’s House with the most explosive opening week of any of his solo albums yet.
Funnily enough, however, this is not the first time Harry has done the double. He actually first achieved the remarkable feat 10 years ago in 2012, with former band One Direction's second album Take Me Home and its chart-topping single Little Things.
Recent acts to score the double also include Ed Sheeran and Adele (of course), last year's biggest breakout star Olivia Rodrigo and Positions queen Ariana Grande.
The fastest-selling album of the year so far, Harry's third solo record debuts with the biggest first-week albums sales since Adele’s 30 (find out more about today's Official Albums Chart here) and officially gains the longest-running Number 1 single of the year so far with As It Was securing a massive eighth week at the top of the Official Singles Chart.
This is the first time in 2022 that someone has scored the Official Chart Double, the last time being when Ed Sheeran topped both charts with = and Merry Christmas with Elton John at the tail-end of 2021.

Harry's House also dominates the entire Top 3 of the Official Singles Chart as Harry Styles does the double.
As It Was is now officially the longest-running Number 1 single of 2022 in the UK so far.
With an eighth consecutive week atop the Official Singles Chart, As It Was steams past Encanto mega-hit We Don’t Talk About Bruno. As It Was shows no sign of slowing down, with 80,000 chart sales collected this week, it’s the song most successful week on the charts since its first.
As It Was is also still the most-streamed track in the country; with over 8.9 million streams to its name, again its best-performance since its opening week. Harry’s House also takes over the Official Singles Chart with two album tracks, Late Night Talking (2) and Music For A Sushi Restaurant (3) completing this week’s Top 3.
Tion Wayne and La Roux’s IFTK rises eight (8). It’s Tion’s sixth Top 10 and La Roux’s third – and her first in 12 years, since Bulletproof hit Number 1 in 2009. Elsewhere, Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran break back in to the Top 10 with Bam Bam (9).
After several weeks of climbing the rungs, David Guetta, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson’s team-up Crazy What Love Can Do is up three to a new peak (14), while George Ezra’s Green Green Grass jumps seven places for a personal best (16) while Latto, Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled’s remix of Big Energy re-peaks (21).
Nathan Dawe and Ella Henderson are this week’s big gainers, racing up 18 spots to crack the Top 40 for the first time with 21 Reasons (20) which is Nathan’s fifth Top 40 single and Ella’s ninth.
Mancunian rapper Aitch just announced his debut album Closer To Home, and new single 1989 is another new entry this week (23), the track samples Manchester legends The Stone Roses’ Fool’s Gold.
After an 11-year hiatus, N-Dubz are back and their comeback track Charmer is their first UK Top 40 entry in as many years, entering in at Number 32. It becomes the 13th Top 40 hit for Fazer, Tulisa and Dappy ahead of their sell-out UK arena tour.
And finally, Tom Grennan’s slow-burning hit Remind Me hikes seven places up the Official Singles Chart for its best peak yet (33).
