I do believe "Naptime" by Susan Thomas 30th Anniversary bonus was legitimately planned, so why did the label change course? The optimist in me: 1) Madonna has another offering in the works - a one-off collaboration (or two) - and doesn't need another project to compete for publicity in the next few months. 2) They scrapped the record store day bonus realizing that everything would be better packaged with the official reissue of Bedtime Stories, to be announced shortly. The realist in me: It's been over three years since the reissue campaign announcement, and we have yet to see any sign of an album re-release. We're never getting them, are we? how much plastic surgery do you think Madonna has had done? Clearly fillers and botox and a facelift during the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, but what else? I'm arguing with a guy who thinks she looks like pictures on the Internet. Clearly every pic is altered either negatively or positively, and lots of filters and Photoshop. But when I saw her live last concert basically in the first 5 rows, she looked every bit her age, wrinkles and flabby arms and neck and all. She looked great, but still 65. All her pics on IG and basically the whole Internet are a facade.
So what do you think she has done?

RIP Christopher.... I know things weren't perfect, but nothing ever is. He played a role in the career of a still-living, global legend, and as an artist himself. Respect.

My heart goes out to M. This must be too heart breaking for her, the tribute above shows hoe much she loved Christopher inspite of the book and falling out. Poor M, two B2B family tragedies, I hope her dad is doing OK.

They did Finally Enough Love in 2022 which I've always seen as a very inspired and well done compilation. I'm sure she'd sell relatively well with reissues of the big albums but they're probably not cheap to make.
With how weak the rules against re-issues are they'd be wise to drop a new version of Celebration adding a few more songs, and "Popular". It would chart well. Honestly Immaculate Collection is still the more iconic GH but it's missing so many hits she's had since, meanwhile Celebration should be fairly easy to repackage: "Popular", "Bitch I'm Madonna" and "Frozen (remix)", probably a couple more songs to represent Madame X and MDNA (I'd advise on skipping GMAYL). Get it on a multi-disc vinyl, easy money from the stanbase.

Fun flashback to the early 80s. Not sure how many of you are old enough to remember music of the early 80s, but I was 13 in 1983 and remember the band Naked Eyes. They had two big hits, "Always Something There to Remind Me" and "Promises, Promises." The 12" single of Promises, Promises was remixed by Jellybean Benitez. Due to that connection, Madonna who was dating Jellybean and he had just produced and mastered some tracks on her debut album, appears as a background singer on the remix. She has a spoken passage at 4:48. You can hear how young her voice sounds and its just a fun blast from the past.

As you know, or may not know, she has been in the studio quite a few times in the past few years with different producers, writers, Max Martin, Honey DJ, Sickick, etc, but from what we know nothing has seen the light of day. |
