Iβm glad this thread is still active. I feel like the media stopped talking about her too quickly, she hasnβt even been dead that long.

Anyhow... MX- yes, back in the day, I bought a VHS bootleg of the Dallas show with those performances. There also are audio clips of those performances from other dates, so all is not lost. As the VT was not a theatrically staged show, I don't see why the editor would find those to be weaker than the other performances- especially the smoldering "Burning Up." People have also speculated that they were cut for the runtime, but who knows.

"Crazy For You" also logged two weeks atop Radio & Records' CHR/Pop chart.

In 13 of his top 10 hits, he is a featured artist on someone else's track. So that makes 23 of his songs that are not solely credited to him. Whereas Madonna has 36 Top 10 songs credited solely to her. The only two that feature a collaboration are "4 Minutes" and "GIve Me All Your Lovin'" So I would argue that Madonna has the better solo track record here. Not that it means much, but she is leaning on her own star power here.

Madonna posted about having some "regenerative treatment" on her knee. She posted two photos of herself. One taken from behind. She clearly had work done on her backside. If she had gained weight and it plumped up her bum, she would show signs of weight gain elsewhere. This is all concentrated on her butt, which is suspect because she never had that much back there before the past couple of years. Either way, doesn't matter, she is still rocking it at 61. apple.news/AXx18ttfmSBuFMpajKNJfmA

I do not like the butt implant. It looks like a Kardashian ass and that is hideous.
But as long as it makes her happy, go on Miss Thang.

Didn't like it at all back then (I'm surprised she was happy with them) and still don't like it although they look better here than at that event and a couple pics I saw from the recent tour. I was there at one of the concerts and I have to say I don't remember her showing them off. They were always kind of covered if I remember correctly. But she can do whatever she feels like and more power to her. She's a successful grown up woman. ;) :)

My dream is to one day watch those 3 clips with the quality of the rest of the official release. Who knows if that footage even exists anymore. I don't care if it wasn't great. Put them as bonus tracks!! Regarding the WTG tour I remember clearly seeing I think on the Causing A Commotion live clip they would show on tv noticing the pants changing color in one quick scene of a couple of seconds. What was it? From brown to golden? It was obvious that they used for some reason those seconds from another show. I would have to watch it again to remember. Yeah, can't imagine a viable reason why BAT still has not been released on other formats. Is it a coincidence that the two tours with behind-the-scenes documentaries and performance footage have not been released? Things that make one go hmmm... There's been talk that the official Virgin Tour footage (the whole show) was in a location that experienced a fire. Not sure of the validity of such info, though. I had read that the videographer / editor who was handling the recording of the Virgin Tour felt that her performances on Borderline, Angel, and Burning Up were not very good, so he left it out of the release. Seems off because that would imply the only show they recorded was Detroit. Nowadays, she records many many shows and they compile the best footage for the release. I believe this started with Who's That Girl Tour as that contains clips from Torino and Tokyo. You can even see one spot where the stage and audience footage is spliced together. At any rate, here are some audience filmed footage of the missing songs from the Virgin Tour:

I was wondering if someone can answer a question about the Something to Remember era?
One of the first Madonna CDs I owned as a kid was this compilation, and itβs the one with the clear case and the track listing/barcode on the CD itself. Does anyone know why they released it that way? I know later editions had a back insert with another photo of her in white.

Also, a minor thing but in one angle one of her dancers had his hair down and then it would be in a ponytail and then down again. Also at the end of Holiday when she was doing "the worm" with her dancers, her hair is big and fluffy and then two seconds later it is wet and floppy. Little things like that which show it is spliced together. There is also a scene where it appears the audience is spliced in from another show because the image of the audience shakes while the stage scene does not. I believe it is during Lucky Star, I could be wrong.

The CD case was clear with no back cover art and you could see the CD in the case. I think in the next pressing of the album they inserted the back cover art. No idea why they did that, maybe the artwork wasn't ready and they needed to rush it out. Could also be a regional thing? Sometimes artwork does change by region. For example, in the U.S. , the True Blue album had just her image on it. In Europe it was the same picture but had her name and the album title on it, because they felt that she was not as famous globally yet and they wanted her name on it. update: This is from a site (borderline music) selling Something to Remember: First pressing -- Includes cover / booklet and no back art - the CD plays as the back art - Madonna wanted no image of herself on the back stating she wanted the music to speak for itself. CD art is limited / second pressing includes back art and different CD art. I remember something similar with the Cher album "Heart of Stone." The original cover had an image of Cher sitting next to a heart shaped stone (if you looked at it the right way, it also looked like a skull). Then in the second pressing they changed the artwork to a basic picture of Cher with the album title on it. It wasn't even a regional difference thing, they were both the U.S. issue.

Something To Remember is such a flawless album. I wish it included The Look of Love and Spanish Eyes. I also think One More Chance is very underrated.

I looked on Discogs and both editions of the album have the same catalog number despite the differences to the packaging. I have have the second one where the CD has the floral pattern on it and there is a back cover.

The version I have came with a white plastic base holding the cd (as opposed to the usual black base or the all-clear one). On the back sheβs lying down smiling evilly at the camera with the track listing written above her.

Yeah, I have the original one with no back cover art. I always thought that was weird, lol. What a flawless compilation though.

Did anyone check out her recent IG story. Images of NYC with Falling Free playing. But it doesn't sound like the album version! Sounds more live. Can anyone tell if that is the album version or not. I would be surprised if it is, but maybe it just sounds different for some odd reason.

Had the mid-90s chart methodology been around in 89/90, both would have had lengthier stays

"Vogue" logged an extra week atop Radio & Records' CHR/Pop chart, but, yah, if BDS and SoundScan were around at that time, it probably would have had a few more weeks at least atop the Hot 100, given its airplay and sales. I mean, four weeks at the top was the most for any single in 1989/1990.

Also, after Like a Virgin spent 6 weeks at #1 starting in late 1984, no song spent as much time at #1 until June 1991 when Bryan Adams scored with "(Everything I Do) I Do it For You" at 7 weeks.
