lThe 80's were amazing, so let's get some extras in here. As always, my top 100 of 1985 looked nothing like Billboard's, so you can consider some of my picks as extras. 100. John Waite - Tears (BB #37) (DOC #15)From "No Brakes" album. Terrible quality video. Even for youtube standards. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMr2QSNvD3A99. John Parr - Naughy Naughty (BB #23) (DOC #18)Actually the first single before "St Elmo's Fire". A cool Billy Squier like rocker. Jon Parr really looked like a "Wise Guy" www.youtube.com/watch?v=syhrz_AMLQU98. Roman Holliday - One Foot Back In Your Door (BB #76) (DOC# 15)Uptempo bop. This song was on the "Teachers" soundtrack. Great quality video. 93. Animotion - Let Him Go (BB #39) (DOC #12)Second single following success of "Obsession" which barley dented the Top 40, but I love it. It had an 80's Latin High Energy vibe to it. A couple more extras that missed both Billboard's ,and my top 100, but still good songs.Nolan Thomas - Yo' Little Brother (BB #57) (DOC #34)This is a great 80's music video. This could quite possible be the first Freestyle song ever? You can hear TKA and Stevie B. vibes all over it. The characters in the MV are supposed to be , Billy Idol, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi lauper, and my favorite Ric Ocasek from The Cars. Scandal - Beat Of The Heart (BB #41) (DOC #27)Third single off " Warrior" L.P.

This is out a bit earlier than I thought it'd be, but none of these types of songs have aged well. I'd expect Do They Know... and That's What Friends... to do about the same in its place.

Are you serious you guys?
First, Survivor is gone (love the piano and overall instrumental scenery in "The Search is Over" btw) and now Diana Ross is gone too?
WHAT'S THIS WORLD COMING TO?!?

Glove Slap I think it'll be my fault if Starship doesn't leave soon as I actually like the song...

I... why? Indeed. Why in the world would you put that in your top 10?

Iconic. The museum near me had some of the outfits on display and I felt I was in presence of fashion royalty.

^Knowing how the crew here typically rank songs on these 80's lists I figured it wouldn't do too well. It's always been a very polarizing song as well.

Polarizing? I figured the popular opinion now is that it's awful.
The truly messed up result is Julian Lennon being eliminated in the bottom 20.

Those vocals on CIN are something else . I feel like they were pitched up in the same way Madonna's early records had that effect on them. I ranked the song so high because of nostalgic value. And it has been on the store playlist for 3 years now.
