Here we have our first top 10 loss (sbp17’s #8), as well as our fourth #40 loss in a row as we say goodbye to the third single from Trisha’s second album Hearts In Armor, “You Say You Will”. This was Trisha’s first single to miss the top 10 at country airplay, following four top 10s from her self-titled debut, as well as the first two singles from Hearts In Armor. This was always near the bottom of the pack here.

The clue was because Holly Dunn originally recorded this song, but never released as a single, a year before Trisha put it on her album.

First reveal for me so far that wasn't in my bottom 10. It's not a huge loss or anything yet, but I definitely wanted a little higher for this one. Pretty song, but admittedly not one of her absolute best either.

I'm glad Squeeze Me In and You Say You Will are out already. I can't understand why she released You Say You Will as a single instead of Hearts in Armor or For Reasons I've Forgotten - this two songs suits her style better, she sounds better and most importantly I like them better .
As much as I like I Need You I'm not surprise that it was eliminated so soon. I like her piano ballads and this one is not an exception.

Only "You Say You Will" actually hurt in the first set of losses. I really love the song and feel it's very underrated among her singles. Guess I was right lol

I like "I Remember You" a lot, but I get why it'd be in the bottom 5. I didn't think it'd be last though.

"Squeeze Me In" okay but I always wished she'd have done more duets with someone other than Garth.

"I Need You" is so boring. I don't hate it as I've never hated a Trisha song, but this one is just so forgettable. I just played it again to give it another chance and I already don't remember how it goes.

This is tied in points with our #35 song, but the difference is that one has a top 10 ranking, whereas the highest ranking here is a pair of #14s. Trisha’s second single ever (following “She’s In Love With The Boy”), this made it up to #4 on Billboard’s airplay chart, but didn’t match the success of her debut. “Like We Never Had A Broken Heart” also marks Trisha’s first single to involve Garth Brooks, as he performs background vocals, and also co-wrote it. It received a number of low rankings at the beginning of the submissions process, and never was able to overcome them.

This is tied in points with our #36 song, but the difference is that this one has a top 10 ranking (LBTrocks #6), which it received at the very end. It would have been a couple of places lower without his list. This is Trisha’s first single to miss the top 20, peaking at #21. It was the second and final single from The Song Remembers When. Despite my last place ranking, I do like the song, though I think there were much better single choices on the album. It did show off a slightly different side of Trisha, which is I guess why they chose it as a single. It has become a bit of a forgotten single in her discography, which I attribute to its (relatively) low peak, and also due to the fact that it was sandwiched in between two of the very biggest hits of her career (“The Song Remembers When” and “XXX’s And OOO’s (An American Girl)”. Like the other songs that are out so far, this one fell to the bottom of the pack early on, and never made its way out.

There’s a pretty big gap between this and our #35 song. This is the first song that I love to have left, and tbh, I was pretty surprised that it’s ranked so low. This was the lead single from Trisha’s Prizefighter: Hit After Hit compilation album that came out in 2014. It just barely missed Billboard’s country airplay top 40, peaking at #42. To date, it is Trisha’s last single to chart at country radio with her as a lead artist (though she did chart again with Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire on Kelly’s “Silent Night”, and as a lead artist on AC radio with both “Broken” and “Santa Baby”). This also completes the ‘trio’ of Reba/Kelly/Trisha collaborations (Reba/ Kelly – “Because Of You”; Reba/Trisha – “She Can’t Save Him”; Trisha/Kelly – “Prizefighter”). Trisha said that she recorded this song because it reminded her of her mom’s fight with breast cancer.

I love "Prizefighter", but I am not entirely surprised by the hate after how poorly it did in the 2014 Country RD. I remember entering lists and being super disappointed when it kept dropping further and further with every list...

Still not sure why this song is so disliked though. I think Trisha and Kelly both sound great, and the song is super catchy!

The second single from Jasper County, “Trying To Love You”, leaves us at #33. I’ve always liked the song, but feel that it was completely the wrong single choice following the ballad “Georgia Rain”. I’ve always thought that something more uptempo, like “Pistol” or “Gimme The Good Stuff”, could have given her another hit following the top 15 placement of “Georgia Rain”, but radio just wasn’t interested in another ballad, and so it peaked at #52. When I saw her live the first time, back in 2005, she announced at the concert that this was going to be her next single, and that she was shooting a video for it very soon. Here, this was a middle of the pack song that received a few low rankings that helped to push it out of the top 30.

Could it be "Broken"? I know that song was from the soundtrack of a Jesus play. The Easter egg could refer to the fact that Jesus died and rose again (because Easter), like in the play, which the song was a part of... (I hope I'm wrong though!)

“Broken”, a cover of the 2008 Lifehouse single that went to #7 on HotAC, was recorded by Trisha for the soundtrack to The Passion. Though not issued to country radio as a single, it was sent to Adult Contemporary radio, where it was quite successful, reaching #17 for Trisha. It still receives regular airplay on that format every week, often showing up in Mediabase’s rolling top 50. The last time I saw her live, in 2016, this had just been sent out as a single, and it sounded incredible live. It was up and down our rankdown here. It initially appeared to be a possible top 20 contender, but some very low ranks (including three #40s) kept it out of the top 30.

Clue explanation: This was recorded for The Passion, a live retelling of the story of Jesus and Mary (where Trisha played Mary) that premiered on Fox Easter weekend 2016.

I agree with someguy though that it was a terrible single choice. There were so many great uptempo tracks that were suitable for country radio on Jasper County, but following up "Georgia Rain" with an even less radio-friendly ballad completely wrecked all her comeback momentum. I think she could've at least got another one or two Top 20 or 30 hits off the record with almost anything else.
