I'll be pleasantly surprised if my #1 makes the top 20. "Forever Love" was released right around the time I was growing up and started listening to Reba. I still remember seeing that Lifetime movie that went with the song. So there's a lot of nostalgia with that one, but I genuinely love the song, too.

It has been a busy week so I haven't had much time to come back around and comment as the rankdown progresses, but I have to say I was somewhat shocked and disappointed to see “What Am I Gonna Do About You" leave before the top half. I've long considered that to be one of Reba's all time classic hits. And what is "Cathy's Clown" doing out already?! Not only is that a classic song, but I'd even say it is one of Reba's signature songs from the 1980s. Shame on y'all! Wasn't surprised to see "New Fool At An Old Game" leave this early, but I wish it could've at least made the top 50. I've always loved this song and especially the line "I don't know the rules" that bboat11 mentioned. Overall the top 40 is looking really good and it's about to get really interesting as there are so many classic songs that might leave way too soon.

"Love Will Find Its Way To You" was the first Reba song I ever heard, and in turn was the first Reba song I fell madly in love with. 15 years later and I am still obsessed with this incredible and perfect woman!
I am beyond glad my #1 has made top 40, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was the next one out :(

That being said, this is one of Reba's '90s hits that I revisit the least. If you love me, don't you be afraid To look in my eyes and open up the gate. Then watch me ride beneath a newborn sun, Just like them horses When it's time to run.39. "Just Like Them Horses"

And in this case, it is our resident Reba McEntire superstan , Sean . And ironically enough, Kanenrá:ke , who is the only other person to have lost their #1 so far, also loses a top 10!
This song was a flop as a single chart-wise, but it did an excellent job of creating buzz for Reba back in 2016 when the music video came out! The song is a super emotional one for her, as it fell into her hands about the time her father passed away, and it is basically her song for him. She sang it at his funeral. So I am glad it managed to "go viral" for her despite its radio floppage. There are many songs from her I like better, but this is still an incredible song! {Songs Remaining} And Still Because Of You Can’t Even Get The Blues Consider Me Gone Does He Love You Fallin’ Out Of Love Fancy For My Broken Heart Going Out Like That How Blue How Was I To Know I Know How He Feels I’d Rather Ride Around With You I’ll Be I’m A Survivor If You See Him, If You See Her Is There Life Out There It’s Your Call Little Rock One Honest Heart One Promise Too Late Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands Rumor Has It She Thinks His Name Was John Somebody Take It Back The Fear Of Being Alone The Greatest Man I Never Knew The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter The Heart Won’t Lie The Last One To Know The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia Till You Love Me Walk On What Do You Say Whoever’s In New England Why Haven’t I Heard From You You Lie

"The Last One To Know" has always been one of my favorites from Reba's '80s material... I LOVE the musical arrangement! More specifically the iconic line after the choruses end! I wish this one had been able to make it a little higher. However, it just couldn't generate enough passion to do much better. In case anybody missed it, The Last One To Know just went from being untouched to being completely eliminated over the course of like 4 eliminations!
Up next, another album is going out... Which one will it be??!?!

Which one will it be??!?! Seeing how her 80s material isn’t as well regarded thus far, I’m going to guess that either 1987’s What Am I Gonna Do About You (“One Promise Too Late”) or her 1988 album Reba will bow out with the elimination of “I Know How He Feels.”

I will admit, this song is pretty generic... But it STILL kicks ass! Reba's delivery here is so fierce, and absolutely sells the song despite the somewhat formulaic lyrics. Even her "Mmmm" in the intro makes me say, "Yasssss Queen!!"
This song did not quite manage to beat its placement in the 2015 Country rankdown, where it came in at #33, but it came pretty darn close. Nobody put this song in their top 10, but multiple top 15 losses from .indulgecountry and Sean are gonna hurt a little bit. I am pleased to see that this song is overall well enough regarded to stand here amongst some of the classics, because this also sounds to me like a song that a bunch of fans might hate if it had not been done properly!

Album Spotlight: Love Somebody (2015)
Released: April 14, 2015 Label: Nash Icon/Starstruck Producer: Tony Brown, Reba McEntire, Doug Sisemore, James Stroud Runtime: 51 min. 18 sec. Country Albums Chart: 1 Certification: --Singles: Going Out Like That (37)Until They Don't Love You (54)Just Like Them Horses (39)Average Placement: 43.33Tracklist: 1. Going Out Like That2. Enough (ft. Jennifer Nettles) 3. She Got Drunk Last Night 4. Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet 5. That's When I Knew 6. I'll Go On 7. Until They Don't Love You 8. Promise Me Love 9. Just Like Them Horses 10. Love Somebody 11. Love Land 12. Pray For Peace 13. Whatever Way It Hurts The Least* 14. More Than Just Her Last Name* * = Deluxe Edition Bonus Track Album Tracks: EnoughHUGE mistake not releasing this as a single!!!! This is by far one of the most buzzed about tracks on the album. Reba and Jennifer sound like absolute FIRE together, and it's a perfect song to boot. Definitely would be a #1 contender if/when the album rankdown for this ends up happening ;) That's When I Knew
This song was not talked about much when the album first came out, but over time it has gone on to become a major fan favorite. It is a sad yet triumphant story about a woman getting over a breakup and starting to date again, and Reba sounds incredible as usual. One of my favorite from the album, for sure. Livin' Ain't Killed Me Yet
This swinging uptempo ought to give you major "Turn On The Radio" vibes! Seriously, every time it starts, I always imagine the "Ooohs" that happen in the intro of TOTR This song is also a missed single opportunity, but then again this album has SO many... Definitely one of the catchiest offerings on the album. Promise Me Love
One of the more underrated songs on the album. This one might be my favorite album track from Reba's entire career.... And I know that makes me weird, because nobody else ever talks about this song But seriously, I don't know why it's not better loved, because to me it is perfect! The echoey production is iconic... Love Somebody
One of the most "modern" sounding songs of Reba's career, but she pulls it off well! I could have seen this song being a hit, had she been in a position to get radio hits. Love Land
Oh look! A Martina McBride cover!!!! I wouldn't have chosen this song, because to me Martina's version is way better so I never completely got into this version... However, I will say that I love the changes Reba made in the perspective of the narrator. Martina's version is in first person, whereas Reba's is in 3rd person, which was more appropriate considering their ages at the time of recording. Whatever Way It Hurts The Least
The first of the two bonus tracks is definitely one that should have made the regular album. This song seems to be a fan favorite, and sounds like a classic Reba song. More Than Just Her Last Name
And here is the second of the two bonus tracks! I personally do not like this one as much, although it is still pretty good. It almost seems like a sequel to "Is There Life Out There", which is a very interesting perspective for a song at the very least!

Ugh, the Love Somebody album is not on YouTube, and it makes me VERY sad All I could find were some random promotional videos that have snippets of the songs. But also, damn what a solid album!!!! I have probably listened to it hundreds of times, and it only came out a couple years ago... Lol. It seriously is dripping with songs that should have been huge hits... Like this post if you want me to do a Love Somebody rankdown in the future!

The Love Somebody album is almost perfect. I am so, so glad that we got one last 'classic' Reba album (and I'm still hoping for many more, but this one would have fit right in with her 90's material in terms of quality, imo). Sad to see all of the singles out, but there are so many amazing ones in her career that I can't be too sad, haha.
I hope this doesn't mean the end of "One Promise Too Late"...

I'm at least glad to see "Going Out Like That" come in a little higher than "Just Like Them Horses," which I've always found overrated and is one of my least favorites from the album. The music video is gorgeous though and I know the song is special to her, so I'm glad it has its place in her catalog, but "Enough" and "That's When I Knew" are some of the best album cuts I've ever heard from her and at least one of those should've been released imo. Love Somebody is a really stacked album though. Seeing that almost the entire album was highlighted further proves that.

I was going to guess “How Blue” but didn’t didn’t want to embarrass myself for a second time tonight This is one classic that I probably underranked a bit, but it’s one of my least favorites of Reba’s signature 80s songs. I will say Terri Clark does a great cover of this on her Classics album (which features Reba as well!).

Their version of this is really good Also, don't forget to participate in Kanenrá:ke 's Terri Clark rankdown! It's due June 30, so you have plenty of time to get it done! Just like her idol Queen Reba, she is fabulously consistent, and it is going to be an AWESOME rankdown!

It wipes out two top 10 placements from toomuchboy and @adam1995, who previously asked y'all to stop wiping out the classics... I hope you all feel bad for disappointing him.But wait a minute, I see I am the lowest ranker... Lol whoops! That was unintentional, I swear! Remember, I love just about everything Reba does, so I do still enjoy this song... It just isn't exciting enough to compete with most of her other material for me. But I agree that it definitely has a place among her classics, and probably should have done better in this rankdown!{Songs Remaining} And Still Because Of You Can’t Even Get The Blues Consider Me Gone Does He Love You Fallin’ Out Of Love Fancy For My Broken Heart How Was I To Know I Know How He Feels I’d Rather Ride Around With You I’ll Be I’m A Survivor If You See Him, If You See Her Is There Life Out There It’s Your Call Little Rock One Honest Heart One Promise Too Late Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands Rumor Has It She Thinks His Name Was John Somebody Take It Back The Fear Of Being Alone The Greatest Man I Never Knew The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter The Heart Won’t Lie The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia Till You Love Me Walk On What Do You Say Whoever’s In New England Why Haven’t I Heard From You You Lie Guys...disappointed. But I must agree that Love Somebody is a fantastic album. Her best of this millennium.

The problem is that basically everything left is a classic. There's pretty much nothing that I want to see go now, lol. True, but "Somebody Should Leave" is very important to her career. I love the backstory of how she found it. You can read at the link, also hearing Reba tell the story is worth it, but I can't find a video right now. Somebody Should LeaveOh yeah, it's a great story. I've heard her tell it when I've seen her live many times.

That being said, this is one of Reba's '90s hits that I revisit the least. Production-wise it hasn't held up next to anything else from this era of her career, and melodically it carries less teeth than many of the other big hits that surround it. Still love it though!
^ This spells out exactly why this one was a bottom 20 for me.

Out of the 5 songs in our next set, only ONE of them was not a #1 hit for Reba!! And it is one that honestly should have been... Find out what they are momentarily!
