I love the idea that Mother goes to Vegas to perform songs made with Boys Noize and Sophie

She has improved vocally so much through the years. Queen!
Now looking back, the Joanne era was iconic:
-Super Bowl -The SMASHING Victoria's Secret performance -Amazing return to top ten on charts with Million Reasons -Coachella -The award winning FiveFootTwo documentary -Fantastic tour although she had to cut it a bit short
etc etc etc

The Joanne era had some great moments, but unfortunately lacked much (any?) new music that was actually good, which was kind of the whole point so

That Royal Variety performance is probably my favorite of the entire era. The best arrangement and vocal of Million Reasons and she looks stunning, even covered most of her tats for it.

The huge break between January and late May in her tour is a bit sus. Maybe she'll release new music in the Spring!

I somehow got GA tickets for October... It was a huge mess though and I was the only one of my friends to get a code for the presale at 10 am.

The Joanne era had some great moments, but unfortunately lacked much (any?) new music that was actually good, which was kind of the whole point so I still bop to “Dancin’ In Circles.” But otherwise yeah, this is the album of hers I revisit the least.

It's odd because while ARTPOP is my least favourite Gaga album by far, it's probably the one I randomly listen to the most. I think because the other albums have cemented themselves into a specific time in me so I need to be in the right mood to want to put them on and enjoy them the most. ARTPOP is mostly meaningless to me so it better serves as background or anytime music. Fall is coming so I'll be breaking out Joanne again soon.

My least fave is The Fame as many of its songs beyond the mega hits are basically carbon copies of her own influences. After that she's in league of her own when it comes to quality of albums but ARTPOP is obviously the messiest one in the bunch.

I think this would be due to the fact that it’s awards season and she has Star to hopefully win something. I don’t see her releasing an album until late 2019 as I dont think she would reconfigure her residency show to fit an entire new album in. I hope im wrong but just thinking logistically.

Bitch needs to pull a Beyonce and surprise-drop the album the night before the residency begins. Bam.

It was exactly the toned down aesthetic I had been hoping for. The video would have been amazing if it wasn't such an epilepsy inducing cut-away mess. I can't watch it (or even this gif) without feeling sick / blinded. That Million Reasons look and performance were incredible. Every time I start to lose my love for her, I am reminded of how genuinely talented she is, and invested in the music, and I'm back.

I AM STILL PRESSED THAT JOHN WAYNE WAS NOT A SINGLE Anyways I enjoyed the Joanne era and I think the album was great
I still rock to Dancin In Circles and cry to the title track I also do not hate Perfect Illusion, though I make fun of the way she says LAAAAAAAAAHVE(love) in the song, that's the grating part.
Also that residency cover shot is awesome, if only I could go see her live

Unlike her contemporary sisters like Katy and Taylor. Lady Gaga just feels like a bigger talent even if it doesn't show in success. Yes her hits came fast and furious and fizzled but then how many current pop stars can grab a mic, stand there and sing Million Reasons so flawlessly, on key and live. Her "Majesty" surely can't.

Taylor is of course in league of her own when it comes to success but she also comes from different background with endless country support back in the day. Katy and Gaga were both straight-forward pop stars in the glorious era of electro pop and Martin/Dr. Luke and they had a fabulous peak at the time but it was never going to last as the trends in pop come and go.
The genius of Madonna was that she was always able to adapt and somehow I can see that being the genius of Gaga as well although not really counting on her hitting top ten 20 years from now lol.
As a dedicated Little Monster I take every chart position as it is, there's nothing much Gaga can do if the trends are not in her favor in the current time but I'm naive and think talent always wins.

I miss Lady GAGA, I hope she has a comeback one day, the Joanne era did NOTHING for me.

Not big on the residency art, looks really dated to her peak period, which I get given what it's for, but there's nothing post-2012 about them at all. The EW shot is stunning though, and the body mod pics above are interesting.
