"De-Lovely" is such a great opener. I just want to tack "Anything Goes" on to the end from C2C.

This is just a perfect final album for Tony, joyous and bittersweet at the same time. And for Gaga, I think she is going to more and more into the direction that her heart points at (she's been singing and playing jazz for decades) and drop the pop star bulls**t (sorry to call it that but a career that when the only metrics is chart success). She's 35 and been around for 15 years already, she doesn't have to prove anything for the casuals, just keep doing her thing and art and whatever inspires her. She also has a wonderful quintet to back her.
On Zane Lowe interview she said, that had Amy Winehouse not passed away, she would be the one that would've most likely been Tony's protegé for the last ten years and I can totally see that. But I am very glad that their paths crossed, friendship started to flourish and she can go on and sing jazz in addition to her pop adn acting career.

She’s at a point in her career where she can do any genre. Pop careers aren’t long for most artists, so it’s great she’s done the albums with Tony and of course her acting.

Excellent album: two great singers, wonderful arrangements and great lyrics. What else can you ask?

Her jazz vocals do seem to have improved since Cheek to Cheek. I thought this album was well done! It’s great that she has this other persona and basically other career she can jump to from time to time and flourish at that too.

I'm one of the few people who doesn't like her jazz vocals. You’re definitely not alone. I have no desire to listen to this new jazz album. I’ll appreciate the artistry and how she can jump from genre to genre but listen to it? Nah, I’m good.

Even though the proper sales are good (30k is great for almost everyone), I think it's clear that most of Gaga's fanbase is not very interested in Love for Sale. But I think it was the same with Cheek to Cheek and also Joanne to some extent. The difference between jazz (the duet albums with Tony), folk rock (Joanne) and her pure dance pop (all her other solo albums are categorized as dance on Billboard) is just too huge.
And it's totally fine, one doesn't have to care about these standards she is singing, but it is also obvious that these days she seems to have most fun on stage singing them instead of running through Just Dance for 7000th time. The difference between most part of Enigma show and what we saw during the Westfield gig is remarkable. She knows she can play with her music and performance MORE when she sings jazz and her piano versions of her own songs are astounding! It's really interesting where her career heads next. It's the playfulness and the honesty she's after and the genre just doesn't matter there. It can be hyperpop (like on Dawn of Chromatica) or metal or jazz or something else, even an album full of piano versions of her hits, which I'd LOVE.
Recently, she has said several times that the current music lacks joy. If you listen to Love for Sale, at least it's full of it.

No doubt whatsoever LFS will have longevity with sales. I predict this will sell fantastic leading up to the holidays and the Grammys.

Top 5 looks like out of reach. Let's hope it'll be top 10 instead of that Morgan guy.

Always Remember Us This Way still gets me. What a beautiful song. Could've been a much bigger hit if pushed properly.

ARUTW and Million Reasons are so underrated! And both co-written by Hillary Lindsey
She seemed to have such a great time in her Vegas opening on Thursday.

According to people who send gossip to Deuxmoi, the promo for The House of Gucci will start in the first week of November with something big is being planned for the week of November 15.

So Joanne did end up being bigger than Artpop? It lasted longer on the charts, which suggests it did. Comparing sales may not be the best as digital sales were probably lower overall during Joanne?

Artpop sold 750k-ish and Joanne did 650k the last time we had numbers. Considering the decline in sales between 2013 and 2016, I'd say they performed on par.

When we also consider that Artpop had 2 radio hits and a bigger promo campaign behind it, well Joanne definitely won. Rose "Payola" NylundInterscope really f**ked Gaga over with Artpop, working her as a slave to re-coup the losses of the canceled BTW tour. It was some bulls**t, from the overpriced CD to the G.U.Y. release debacle.
