^One of my favorite GaGa deep cuts of all time!
That opening of the first four songs of ArtPOP snatched me bald back in 2013 when I first heard it. The rest of the album didn't live up to that hype by that four-part punch of Aura-Venus-G.U.Y.-Sexxx Dreams is just amazing.

The Venus, GUY, and SD stretch particularly is the best Gaga has ever tackled sex in music, and also one of my most revisited stretches of any of her albums over the years (maybe my most tbh). Though I’d also throw the hat in for the title track, Fashion, Gypsy, and Applause all being equally great. Now I need to rank it lol: 1. Applause 2. Venus 3. Sexxx Dreams 4. Fashion! 5. Gypsy 6. G.U.Y. 7. Artpop 8. Aura 9. Swine (oddly really into this in recently) 10. DWUW (though admittedly brought way down since release by you know what and the fact that Xtina version just ain’t it for me) 11. Dope (only like it for the melody though) 12. Mary Jane Holland 13. Donatella 14. Manicure 15. Jewels N Drugs (l o l, still her worst song ever for me) |

Seeing some sales figures for Gaga’s discography, my God her catalogue sales have been amazing. Like PF itself is over 15 million SPS, with BR at 14 mill and Shallow at 12 mill!! Thats amazing

Lol. This reminds me of the whole Katy Perry insiders from label execs, radio djs, fans, etc saying it was her best work and amazing epic etc. and then bombed. I would never take anyone's word that stands to gain financially because of course they will hype it. Not that the album will be bad by any means but I would not get excited over this comment |

She is very talented, and a great artist and I know I will love her album. By the way, I also enjoyed Katy's album. Sometimes it feels like female artists have it harder than male artists. Sad but true.
