Dua is heading for 4 songs with over 1B streams on Spotify! I don't believe any other female artist has achieved that. nope! in fact, Halsey is about to be the first woman with 3 1B+ songs one "Eastside" crosses the mark (or maybe it has). One of those is a feature, so Dua is on track to be the first woman with 3 1B+ songs as a lead artist, and then first one with 4 overall! stream IDGAF and DSN to be a part of history ;) |

"IDGAF" and "Don't Start Now" are expected to reach the milestone 1 BILLION streams in the same week, circa. July 16th to July 18th (i just did calculations via google lmao) and this would make Dua Lipa the first female artist AND the FIFTH artist ever (following Ed, JB, and Post Malone, Drake) to have >4 songs 1 billion spotify streams...... That's very very impressive
*Edit: I take it back.... The Weeknd & Imagine Dragons might get four before her.... still incredible though

Joe Kentish, Warner Records head of A&R, was interviewed by Music Week and he mentioned how Dua coped with the second album anxiety. He said the following: "I certainly had an anxiety, as she got bigger and bigger; I had a worry of how we were going to follow this up. I'm well versed in the lore of second albums. At the time, I found it really quite surprising, actually, that Dua didn't seem to be absorbing any of that, she was definitely front foot forward and attacked making the record with a real energy and enthusiasm. But then, just before we came to release the first single ("Don't Start Now"), she opened up about the fact that it was an absolutely conscious decision, that she kind of felt the anxiety building up in her and decided to go the completely opposite way and to really attack the process, which she didn't share with me right at the beginning of it all. That approach was a lot more helpful to her, than to really be putting yourself under unbelievable amounts of pressure to follow up the first record." |

Don't start now will probably be year end #2 behind Blinding Lights in the UK, impressive considering it "only" reached #2.

Umm... this story is clearly going to be buried, but it's extremely disappointing to this Jewish fan who has played the heck out Future Nostalgia over the last 3 months. I don't condone cancel culture, but it's hard not feel a little aggrieved that this will almost certainly cause zero blowback and reflection on her part. |

Boys Will Be Boys is still a gorgeous song
I'm still happy she chose to close the album with it even if it's a departure sonically from the rest of the album.

The only “bad song” ( if you can call it bad ) is “good in bed” , it’s a bit gratting and the sound doesn’t match the album.

I really hope that Capital FM's tweet is a hint of her next single. "Physical" is out of the question obviously because it was already promoted in the UK, so I hope it's "Hallucinate" instead of "Levitating". The main reason of this is because "Break My Heart" hasn't peaked in the US yet and they could save "Levitating" to be pushed in the US as well.
