On a slightly less optimistic note, "Levitating" slaying so much just puts into evidence how much "We're Good" is comparatively lagging. I hope this doesn't impact the plan to release more FN singles ("Love Again", "That Kind of Woman", "If It Ain't Me" and "Cool" are right there waiting). Im not surprised. I think it’s a solid track but doesn’t fit the vibe of FN AT ALL. It kinda sounds like a Fergie song from 2006 TBH. There were so many better options to release that fit this era (the dismissal of Love is Religion is abomination). As much as I love hearing new music, I kinda wish they just kept FN as it was as it’s already a modern day classic. |

I think it’s a solid track but doesn’t fit the vibe of FN AT ALL. It kinda sounds like a Fergie song from 2006 TBH. "We're Good" fits the Future Nostalgia theme in a lesser extent. I mean, it's not directly as some and/or most of the songs with the disco-influenced production from the album, but it still has that nostalgic vibe. The example of Fergie you mentioned corroborates that point, although I've seen some people say that this track reminded of No Doubt's stuff as well. There were so many better options to release that fit this era (the dismissal of Love is Religion is abomination). I'm not entirely sure why, but Dua dislikes "Love Is Religion", so this is the reason why the track wasn't included in the album (even, in the original draft and/or [considered in] the deluxe). the last song of hers to not leak in some way was Physical Physical leaked a few days before it's official release technically lol, at the same time that Break My Heart and If It Ain't Me leaked it's the way I can't even get it right lol |

There are very interesting choices to be honest, including "Don't Start Now" and "Levitating", but I hope she goes with a non-obvious one ("Physical" like you said) and "Love Again". If it's considered that there are plans for the latter to be pushed as a WW single (it's only an official single in France so far), I guess she could take advantage of this performance to launch it as a single in the UK, unless she does it before. Nominations come out tomorrow as well. She should get a few very exciting. I'm expecting Dua to be nominated in the three categories she's eligible for: • British Album of the Year (with Future Nostalgia) • Song of the Year (with "Don't Start Now" "Physical") • British Female Solo Artist ETA: I've just realized that the eligibility period has changed (from December 13, 2019 until March 11, 2021) due to the BRITs to be pushed back from February until May this year, so "Don't Start Now" is ineligible. :facepalm: As a consequence, I assume "Physical" is going to be chosen instead because it's the song which has performed the best (better peak and close to be a millionaire) from the singles of the album there. |
