News
By Xander Zellner | May 07, 2018 5:25 PM EDTNine songs infuse the top 20, as all 18 tracks from 'beerbongs & bentleys' hit the Hot 100. As Post Malone celebrates his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated May 12) as well as the biggest streaming week ever for an album, the rapper/singer concurrently breaks the record for the most simultaneous top 20 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. Post Malone -- whose sophomore effort beerbongs & bentleys opened with 461,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music -- lands nine songs in the top 20 of the Hot 100, shattering the previous record of six, which was shared by The Beatles and J. Cole. The Beatles held the record for 54 years, as they charted six songs in the top 20 on charts dated April 11 and April 18, 1964. J. Cole tied the mark just last week (on the chart dated May 5), fueled by the No. 1 Billboard 200 bow of his latest album, KOD. Malone concurrently breaks the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Hot 100 hits: 14. A week ago, J. Cole charted 10 songs in the region, passing the prior high of nine notched each by Cardi B, Drake and Kendrick Lamar. All 18 tracks from beerbongs & bentleys grace the Hot 100, led by "Psycho," featuring Ty Dolla $ign, at No. 2. "Better Now" debuts at No. 7 and Malone's former eight-week No. 1 "Rockstar," featuring 21 Savage, rebounds 32-8, making him the 18th act in the Hot 100's 59-year history with at least three simultaneous top 10s. "Better Now" earns Post Malone his third top 10 debut, following "Psycho" and "Rockstar," which both bowed at No. 2. Here’s a look at all of 18 of Post Malone’s songs on the new, May 12-dated Hot 100. (All are debuts, except where noted.) Hot 100 Rank, Title No. 2, "Psycho," feat. Ty Dolla $ign (up from No. 5) No. 7, "Better Now" No. 8, "Rockstar," feat. 21 Savage (up from No. 32) No. 11, "Paranoid" No. 14, "Rich & Sad" No. 15, "Spoil My Night," feat. Swae Lee No. 16, "Ball for Me," feat. Nicki Minaj No. 17, "Stay" No. 20, "Same Bitches," feat. G-Eazy & YG No. 23, "Zack and Codeine" No. 24, "Over Now" No. 29, "Takin’ Shots" No. 34, "Candy Paint" (re-entry/new peak) No. 40, "92 Explorer" No. 46, "Otherside" No. 47, "Blame It on Me" No. 57, "Sugar Wraith" No. 73, "Jonestown (Interlude)" With 18 total tracks currently on the Hot 100, Malone becomes just the third act to tally at least that many songs on the chart at once. Drake holds the record for the most simultaneous entries with 24, and has logged at least 18 tracks on the Hot 100 in four distinct weeks. The Weeknd landed 18 tracks on the Hot 100 in December 2016 as his album Starboy started atop the Billboard 200. Background Media: Background Media:

from last week: J. Cole Is First Act to Debut 3 Songs in Hot 100's Top 10, As All 12 'KOD' Tracks Chart
News
By Xander Zellner | April 30, 2018 4:47 PM EDT Plus, he’s the first artist to have landed 8 songs in the top 40 twice. As J. Cole scores his fifth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated May 5), as KOD arrives with 397,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, the rapper makes history by becoming the first act ever to debut three songs simultaneously in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. All 12 tracks from KOD debut on the Hot 100, led by "ATM" at No. 6, with "Kevin’s Heart" new at No. 8 and "KOD" an arrival at No. 10. Cole adds his second, third and fourth Hot 100 top 10s, all of which have debuted in the top tier; he first reached the region when "Deja Vu," from his previous LP, 4 Your Eyez Only, debuted at its No. 7 peak in December 2016. In the Hot 100's 59-year history, no act had previously debuted three songs in the top 10 in the same week. Ed Sheeran and Drake are the only other artists to have debuted two songs in the top 10 simultaneously. Sheeran first achieved the feat with"Shape of You" (No. 1) and "Castle on the Hill" (No. 6) on Jan. 28, 2017, while Drake has doubled up twice, with "Passionfruit" (No. 8) and "Portland" (featuring Quavo and Travis Scott, No. 9) on April 8, 2017, and "God's Plan" (No. 1) and "Diplomatic Immunity" (No. 7) this Feb. 3. Here’s a look at all of J. Cole’s songs (all debuts) on the new, May 5-dated Hot 100: Hot 100 Rank, Title No. 6, "ATM" No. 8, "Kevin’s Heart" No. 10, "KOD" No. 14, "Photograph" No. 15, "Motiv8" No. 20, "1985 (Intro to The Fall Off)" No. 28, "The Cut Off," featuring kiLL edward No. 30, "Brackets" No. 41, "Window Pain (Outro)" No. 46, "Friends," featuring kiLL edward No. 47, "Once an Addict (Interlude)" No. 53, "Intro" Impressively, this isn’t the first time that J. Cole has charted 12 songs on the Hot 100 simultaneously, or sent an entire album to the ranking. On Dec. 31, 2016, all 10 tracks from 4 Your Eyez Only landed on the Hot 100, along with two additional non-album tracks ("False Prophets" and "Everybody Dies"). J. Cole also becomes the first artist to have landed eight simultaneous entries in the Hot 100's top 40 twice. Concurrent with the chart bow 4 Your Eyez Only, he charted a record 10 songs in the top 40. (Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar and Drake have each charted nine songs in the top 40 simultaneously once, while Prince and Beyoncé have both tallied eight at a time once.) Further, this week's Hot 100's marks the second time that two artists each boast three simultaneous top 10s: Drake and J. Cole. Drake claims Nos. 1, 2 and 9 with, respectively, "Nice for What,""God's Plan" and BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive," on which Drake is featured, joining J. Cole at Nos. 6, 8, and 10. The only other instance of two artists owning three songs each in the top 10 simultaneously? On Aug. 30, 2014, thanks to Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea. That week, Grande held Nos. 4, 7 and 10 with, respectively, "Break Free," featuring Zedd, "Problem," featuring Azalea, and "Bang Bang," with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. Azalea placed at Nos. 5, 7 and 8 with, respectively, "Fancy," featuring Charli XCX, "Problem" and "Black Widow," featuring Rita Ora. (As Azalea and Grande shared "Problem," however, this week marks the first time that two acts have each charted three simultaneous top 10s via six different songs.) Grande, meanwhile, makes her own Hot 100 headlines this week as her new single "No Tears Left to Cry" launches at No. 3. Additional reporting by Gary Trust

Drake's 'I'm Upset' Debuts in Billboard Hot 100's Top 20
The song is one of six by Drake currently in the top 20, a feat that only Post Malone, J. Cole and The Beatles previously achieved. Drake scores the highest debut of the week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated June 9), as "I'm Upset" launches at No. 19.
The song earns Drake his 164th career Hot 100 entry, extending his record for the most among soloists. It's his 46th top 20 hit and his 74th to reach the top 40.
Only Elvis Presley has more top 20 (48) and top 40 entries (80).
With the arrival of "I'm Upset," Drake occupies six spots in the Hot 100's top 20. As previously reported, "Nice for What" tallies its sixth week at No. 1; "God's Plan" holds at No. 3; "Yes Indeed," with Lil Baby, repeats at No. 6; BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive," on which Drake is featured, is steady at No. 12; and Migos' "Walk It Talk It," on which Drake is also featured, keeps at No. 14.
In the Hot 100's 59-year history, only three artists have charted at least six songs in the top 20 simultaneously: Post Malone (a record nine) four weeks ago; J. Cole (six) five weeks ago; and The Beatles (six) for two straight weeks in 1964.
"I'm Upset" concurrently starts at No. 10 on the Hot Rap Songs chart, where it's Drake's record-extending 68th top 10. (Lil Wayne follows with 45.)
The track is rumored to be on Drake's upcoming project likely due later this month, expected to be titled Scorpion.

This is all subjective of course, but given that Drake manages this without an “album bomb” makes it more impressive to me.

Plus, "Wake Up in the Sky" & "Sunflower" rise, Camila Cabello debuts.
As Metro Boomin's new album Not All Heroes Wear Capes debuts as his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Nov. 17), with 99,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music, the producer sends seven songs from the set onto the Billboard Hot 100.
"Don't Come Out the House," featuring 21 Savage, starts the highest at No. 38, powered most heavily by 18 million U.S. streams, earning Metro Boomin his fourth top 40 hit. The seven debuts brings his total number of Hot 100 entries to 18, dating to his first, the No. 36-peaking "X," with 21 Savage and featuring Future, in 2016.
Metro Boomin (born Leland Wayne) has charted highest on the Hot 100 with his Offset collab "Ric Falir Drip," which hit No. 13 in March.
Here's a look at all seven bows from Not All Heroes Wear Capes on the latest Hot 100:
No. 38, "Don't Come Out the House," feat. 21 Savage No. 42, "10 Freaky Girls," feat. 21 Savage No. 51, "Space Cadet," feat. Gunna No. 62, "Overdue," feat. Travis Scott No. 72, "Dreamcatcher," feat. Swae Lee & Travis Scott No. 79, "No More," feat. Travis Scott, Kodak Black & 21 Savage No. 100, "Up to Something," feat. Travis Scott & Young Thug
Travis Scott scores his 29th, 30th and 31st Hot 100 entries of 2018. So far this year, only Drake has landed more: 34.
As previously reported, Ariana Grande blasts onto the Hot 100 at No. 1 with "Thank U, Next," her first leader on the list. Who else makes notable Hot 100 chart moves this week?
"Wake Up in the Sky," Gucci Mane X Bruno Mars X Kodak Black
Following the Oct. 31 premiere of its official video, the triple team-up bounds 26-14 for a new high on the Hot 100. The track jumps 20-12 on the Streaming Songs chart, up 20 percent to 21.8 million U.S. streams in the week ending Nov. 8.
"Sky" also soars 39-31 on Radio Songs (34.7 million in all-format audience, up 14 percent) and 50-36 on Digital Song Sales (8,000 sold, up 38 percent).
"Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse)," Post Malone & Swae Lee
Perhaps more poignant upon the Nov. 12 passing of Spider-Man creator Stan Lee, the song rebounds 24-23 in its third week on the Hot 100, after debuting at No. 9. It gains in all metrics, bulleting at No. 16 on Streaming Songs (19.2 million, up 3 percent) and No. 24 on Digital Song Sales (10,000, up 6 percent) and debuting at No. 45 on Radio Songs (26.3 million, up 25 percent).
"Consequences," Camila Cabello
The third radio single from Cabello's debut album Camila enters at No. 97 on the Hot 100. On the Pop Songs airplay chart, the ballad rises 24-21, up 16 percent in plays.
"This is, no matter where you stand, a really tumultuous time for so many reasons," WFLY (Fly 92.3) Albany, New York, program director Ally Reid recently mused on the Billboard Chart Beat Podcast. "For some people who look at radio as a respite from the day, [ballads] are very comforting. There could be, 100 percent, social elements that have people feeling these songs in a special way."

2/19/2019 by Gary Trust
Grande charts 11 songs in the top 40, and 12 on the chart overall, all from her new album, 'Thank U, Next.'
Ariana Grande rewrites the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Billboard Hot 100 hits by a female artist, charting 11 songs in the region on the survey dated Feb. 23.
All 11 tracks are from Grande's new album Thank U, Next, which launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. (Each of the set's 12 songs make the Hot 100, with one just outside the top 40.)
Grande bests the mark previously set by Cardi B, who tallied nine top 40 Hot 100 entries on April 21, 2018, when her album Invasion of Privacy opened atop the Billboard 200.
Drake holds the record for the most simultaneous top 40 Hot 100 hits among all artists, claiming 21 on July 14, 2018, the same week that his album Scorpion debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Billie Eilish Sets A Record For The Most Hot 100 Hits At One Time Among Women
Hollywood & Entertainment
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MARCH 14: Billie Eilish arrives at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards which broadcasted live on FOX at Microsoft Theater on March 14, 2019, in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Tony Barson/WireImage) Getty
As she rules the Billboard 200 with her debut full-length album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Billie Eilish’s name also appears all over the Hot 100, the all-encompassing singles chart that lists the 100 most popular songs in the U.S. every week. In fact, the teen pop singer has scored so many hits at one time, she’s set a new record among women.
This frame, the singer-songwriter owns an incredible 14 spots on the Hot 100, which now stands as the most hits any woman has charted in one week. The singer beats the previous record holder, Cardi B, by just one placement. Last year, when her debut album Invasion of Privacy landed, the hip-hop superstar ended up grabbing a lucky 13 positions on the Hot 100, which outpaced the record at the time. That piece of history was owned by Beyoncé at the time, who once controlled a dozen spots on the tally.
Impressively, 12 of the 14 songs featured on When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? make their way onto the Hot 100, with eight of them debuting on the listing, while others mostly rise to new heights. Just two tracks from the record, "!!!!!!!" and “Goodbye” (which just happen to be the first and last songs on the tracklist), don’t make it to the ranking. Instead, two older cuts, “Lovely” with Khalid and her first true hit “Ocean Eyes,” both take up space as well.
While just one song featured on When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? makes its way into the top 10 ("Bad Guy," which has just become her first appearance inside the uppermost region), five cuts do push into the top 40, certifying them as hits. As Eilish continues to promote the full-length, it wouldn't be strange if more of them also spent time inside the area at some point.
Here’s a look at all 14 of Billie Eilish’s Hot 100 hits and where they rank.
No. 7 - “Bad Guy” No. 25 - “Bury a Friend” No. 29 - “When the Party’s Over” No. 31 - “Wish You Were Gay” No. 35 - “Xanny” No. 41 - “You Should See Me in a Crown” No. 43 - “My Strange Addiction” No. 46 - “All the Good Girls Go to Hell” No. 53 - “I Love You” No. 62 - “ilomilo” No. 63 - “Listen Before I Go” No. 79 - “8” No. 85 - “Lovely” (with Khalid) No. 94 - “Ocean Eyes”
