Nicki Minaj has a big week on Billboard’s charts thanks to the arrival of her new LP, Pink Friday 2.
The set, released Dec. 8 via Young Money/Cash Money/Republic Records, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated Dec. 23) with 228,000 equivalent album units earned in its opening week, according to Luminate. It’s the rapper’s third leader, after 2011’s Pink Friday and 2012’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
As the new album opens at No. 1, Minaj also debuts 14 songs from the set on the Billboard Hot 100. Here’s a recap:
Hot 100 Rank, Title:
No. 26, “Everybody,” feat. Lil Uzi Vert No. 34, “Needle,” feat. Drake No. 42, “FTCU” No. 58, “Barbie Dangerous” No. 60, “Are You Gone Already” No. 63, “Let Me Calm Down,” feat. J. Cole No. 64, “Beep Beep” No. 73, “Big Difference” No. 74, “Fallin 4 U” No. 80, “RNB,” feat. Lil Wayne & Tate Kobang No. 82, “Pink Friday Girls” No. 87, “Cowgirl,” feat. Lourdiz No. 89, “Pink Birthday” No. 95, “Bahm Bahm” (Three other tracks on Pink Friday 2 previously charted on the Hot 100: “Super Freaky Girl,” which debuted atop the chart in August 2022, becoming Minaj’s third No. 1, and first in a lead role; “Red Ruby Da Sleeze,” which was No. 13, this March; and “Last Time I Saw You” at No. 23 in September.)
The 14 debuts bring Minaj’s total to 147 career Hot 100 entries — the most ever among female rappers. She passes Lil Baby and Kanye West for the sixth-most overall in the chart’s 65-year history, after Drake (up to 328, thanks to his feature on “Needle”), Taylor Swift (232), the Glee cast (207), Lil Wayne (186) and Future (168).
Minaj also lifts her career count to 73 top 40 Hot 100 hits, the fifth-most after Drake (202), Taylor Swift (138), Lil Wayne (88) and Elvis Presley (81).
Thanks to their featured appearances on the album, Tate Kobang and Lourdiz also score their first Hot 100 hits.
As Pink Friday 2 includes prominent samples on nine of its 22 tracks, several former Hot 100 hits are reintroduced to the chart in a new form, including Billie Eilish’s “When the Party’s Over,” a No. 29 hit in 2019, via “Are You Gone Already,” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” (No. 2, 1984; “Pink Friday Girls”). Other samples include Notorious B.I.G. and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s “Notorious Thugs” (on “Barbie Dangerous”), and Junior Senior’s “Move Your Feet” (on “Everybody”).

21 Savage Charts 14 Songs From ‘American Dream’ on Hot 100, Reaches Historic Milestone He becomes the 16th artist to tally at least 100 career Hot 100 entries.

21 Savage has a huge week on Billboard’s charts, thanks to his new album, American Dream.
The set debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated Jan. 27) with 133,000 equivalent album units earned in its opening week (Jan. 12-18), according to Luminate, while all 14 chart-eligible songs from the LP enter the Billboard Hot 100, including two in the top 10.
The 14 debuts up 21 Savage’s total to 103 career Hot 100-charting hits. He becomes just the 16th artist to amass 100 entries or more over the chart’s 65-year history.
Here’s a look at all of 21 Savage’s entries (includes two previously-charting songs) on the latest Hot 100.
21 Savage on the Jan. 27, 2024-dated Hot 100: Rank, Title No. 5, “Redrum” No. 10, “Née-nah,” with Travis Scott & Metro Boomin No. 18, “All of Me” No. 19, “N.H.I.E.,” with Doja Cat No. 31, “Pop Ur Sht,” with Young Thug & Metro Boomin No. 33, “Sneaky” No. 35, “Dangerous,” with Lil Durk & Metro Boomin No. 40, “Should’ve Wore a Bonnet,” with Brent Faiyaz No. 43, “Prove It,” with Summer Walker No. 48, “Good Good,” with Usher & Summer Walker (down from No. 34, after hitting No. 25) No. 50, “Surround Sound” (JID featuring 21 Savage & Baby Tate) (down from No. 40 peak) No. 57, “Red Sky,” with Tommy Newport & Mikky Ekko No. 59, “Letter to My Brudda” No. 66, “See the Real” No. 67, “Just Like Me,” with Burna Boy & Metro Boomin No. 70, “Dark Days,” with Mariah The Scientist
Thanks to his appearance on “Red Sky,” Tommy Newport scores his first entry on not just the Hot 100, but any Billboard chart. Mikky Ekko, also on the song, returns to the Hot 100 for the first time as a recording artist since his featured appearance on Rihanna’s “Stay” in 2013., Ekko co-wrote “Stay” – as well as Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control,” which holds at its No. 8 high a week after reaching the top 10.
With 103 total Hot 100 entries, 21 Savage passes The Weeknd (98), Eminem (96), Bad Bunny (93), Young Thug (93) and James Brown (91) for the 16th-most career hits.
Here’s an updated look at every act that has charted 100 or more Hot 100 entries.
Most Career Billboard Hot 100 Hits (through Jan. 27, 2024): 328, Drake 232, Taylor Swift 207, Glee Cast 186, Lil Wayne 168, Future 147, Nicki Minaj 141, Kanye West 138, Lil Baby 116, Chris Brown 113, Travis Scott 109, Elvis Presley (whose career predates the Hot 100’s inception) 108, Lil Uzi Vert 105, Justin Bieber 105, Jay-Z 104, YoungBoy Never Broke Again 103, 21 Savage
Of 21 Savage’s 103 total songs to have made the Hot 100, 53 have reached the top 40; 17 have hit the top 10; and two, via featured roles, hit No. 1: Post Malone’s “Rockstar” (2017) and Drake’s “Jimmy Cooks” (2022).
Before 21 Savage, the last artist to join the 100 Hot 100 hits club was Travis Scott, last August after releasing his album Utopia. Two other acts achieved the feat in 2023: Lil Uzi Vert in July, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again in May.
While it’s rare for artists to chart triple-digit entries on the Hot 100, it has become a more regular occurrence since the ranking began including streaming figures in 2007. As such, some artists have been able to chart a high number of songs on the Hot 100 after releasing high-profile albums. The model contrasts with prior decades, when acts generally promoted one single at a time in the physical-only marketplace and on radio. That shift in consumption helps explain why artists have been able to chart many songs over short spans in recent years.

All 16 Songs on Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures 1’ Debut on Hot 100 "Carnival" leads the set's songs at No. 3.
By Xander Zellner
02/20/2024
Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign have a monumental week on Billboard’s charts (dated Feb. 24), thanks to the pair’s new collaborative album, Vultures 1.
The set by the pair, billed collaboratively as ¥$: Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 148,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in its opening week (Feb. 9-15, following its Feb. 10 release), according to Luminate. Ye earns his 11th No. 1 album — as he passes Eminem for the third-most among rappers, after Jay-Z (14) and Drake (13) — and Ty Dolla $ign scores his first.
Meanwhile, all 16 songs on the album — Ye’s first following his string of hate speech and antisemitic remarks, which resulted in companies including Adidas and Def Jam Recordings distancing themselves from him — debut on the Billboard Hot 100, led by “Carnival” at No. 3. Ye notches his 21st top 10 hit, and Ty Dolla $ign his third, and first in a lead role.
Here’s a look at every song, all debuts, by Ye and Ty Dolla $ign on the latest Hot 100.
Rank, Title: No. 3, “Carnival” No. 23, “Fuk Sumn” No. 26, “Back to Me” No. 30, “Talking,” feat. North West No. 33, “Burn” No. 34, “Vultures,” feat. Lil Durk & Bump J No. 39, “Stars” No. 52, “Do It” No. 53, “Paid” No. 55, “Keys to My Life” No. 64, “Paperwork” No. 65, “Beg Forgiveness” No. 67, “Hoodrat” No. 79, “Problematic” No. 93, “Good (Don’t Die)” No. 94, “King”
With 16 debuts on the latest Hot 100, Ye ups his total to 157 career entries. He boasts the sixth-most in the chart’s 65-year history, after Drake (328), Taylor Swift (232), the Glee Cast (207), Lil Wayne (186) and Future (168). Ty Dolla $ign pushes his sum to 46 entries.
Thanks to their featured appearances, North West and Bump J both earn their first career Hot 100 hits. At just 10 years old, North West, the eldest child of Ye and Kim Kardashian (who divorced in 2022), is now one of the youngest acts ever to reach the chart. Among other precocious charted talents, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, hit the Hot 100 at just 7 years old in 2019, thanks to her featured turn on Beyoncé, Saint Jhn and Wizkid’s “Brown Skin Girl.” She made her overall chart debut just after making her debut in the world, as her coos are heard on Jay-Z’s “Glory,” featuring B.I.C.. The song hit Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in 2012, making her the youngest billed artist ever on any Billboard chart.
Stevie Wonder is the youngest credited artist to hit No. 1 on the Hot 100, as he was 13 when “Fingertips (Part II)” led in 1963. Overall, Jordy is the youngest billed artist to have appeared on the chart, at just over 5 years old with “Dur Dur D’être Bébé (It’s Tough To Be a Baby)” in 1993.
Also notable is the debut of “Good (Don’t Die).” The song was removed from Spotify after less than four days on the streaming service, as it includes an uncleared interpolation of Donna Summer’s 1977 top 10 Hot 100 hit “I Feel Love.” The song has since been removed from all other streaming services and for purchase. Hours after the release of Vultures 1, Summer’s estate claimed “copyright infringement” and disapproved of the use of the alleged sample. “Kanye West … asked permission to use Donna Summer’s song I Feel Love, he was denied … he changed the words, had someone re sing it or used AI but it’s I Feel Love … copyright infringement!!!,” the estate posted in an Instagram Story on the official Donna Summer account Feb. 10.
That isn’t the only sampling issue regarding the album. Ozzy Osbourne called out Ye and labeled him an antisemite after an earlier version of “Carnival” included a live performance of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” Plus, R&B artist Dijon posted to Instagram Stories Feb. 9, a day before the album’s release, suggesting that he was unaware that his song “Good Luck” was being sampled on the track “Stars.”

Future Debuts All 17 Songs From ‘Mixtape Pluto’ on Hot 100 He now boasts the third-most Hot 100 entries of all time.
By Xander Zellner
10/1/2024
Future is back with another huge week on Billboard’s charts. His new project, Mixtape Pluto, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (dated Oct. 5) with 129,00 equivalent album units earned in the United States in its opening week (Sept. 20-26), according to Luminate, and all 17 of its songs debut on the Billboard Hot 100.
Future earns his 11th No. 1 on the Billboard 200, tying Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) for the fifth-most in the chart’s history. It’s also Future’s third No. 1 of 2024, all tallied over six months – making him the first soloist to score a trio of leaders in a six-month span.
Below is a recap of all 17 of Future’s songs on the latest Hot 100, all of which are debuts – and all of which are with no other billed artists.
Rank, Title
No. 21, “Teflon Don” No. 23, “Too Fast” No. 25, “Lil Demon” No. 26, “Ski” No. 29, “Plutoski” No. 42, “Ready to Cook Up” No. 46, “Ocean” No. 57, “South of France” No. 59, “Brazzier” No. 61, “Press the Button” No. 63, “Surfing a Tsunami” No. 68, “MJ” No. 70, “Oath” No. 80, “Aye Say Gang” No. 81, “Told My” No. 83, “Lost My Dog” No. 85, “Made My Hoe Faint” Future logs an 18th song on the latest Hot 100. His former three-week No. 1, “Like That” with Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar, ranks at No. 39 in its 27th week on the chart.
Future has now charted 217 songs on the Hot 100 in his career. He surpasses the Glee cast, with 207, for the third-most in the chart’s 66-year history, after only Drake (338) and Taylor Swift (264).
Plus, Future has charted 49 songs in 2024 alone, surpassing Swift (36) and Metro Boomin (35) for the most. The sum is the fourth-best ever for an act in a calendar year, after only the Glee cast’s 80 entries in 2010 and 77 in 2011 and Swift’s 54 in 2023.
