I am not even a Katy stan but.... let's do that comparison when Short n' Sweet has spawned at least 5 top ten hits on Hot 100. I can see Bed Chem becoming one at least if they play their cards right. She’s more than halfway there though, miss Carpenter has really really surprised my expectations with this release, talk about a literal “Dark Horse” |

To complement the tweet/X post above, Sabrina is the fourth artist ever to achieve a top three shutout, behind Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles, in the UK. However, Sabrina is the second who does that for two consecutive weeks after Ed. He achieved that for three weeks in a row with "Shape of You", "Galway Girl" and "Castle on the Hill" back in 2017, while Justin and Harry did that for only a week.

Having listened to Feathers she was always dope!! I must have blocked her out and assumed because posters like Normi were shoving her up my ass that she was just another Norwegian Blonde thin voiced singer. But the joke was on me! ☠️ I love and hate this at the same time 😍 Just came in here to say I'm so happy about all the discussion and praise this album has sparked, I remember how dead this thread was when I was vibing to '3mails I can't send' and I think I still prefer that project over this because the highs feel higher but I'm glad she released another great project and is seeing this level of success (i.e. 'Bed Chem' rises 11-10 in Australia on top of charting all her three #1 hits in the Top 5 still) My current ranking: 1. I feel like Sabrina came in this year, stuck her foot out, effectively tripping up Katy Perry, and giving us an era of the feel-good pop vibes everyone's been desperately needing and was expecting from Perry! Between her and Chappell they're dominating 2024. They each have my stan card.

My brain finally picked up who Sabrina's rawness in the lyrics reminds me of: Liz Phair.
This album is like the sounds of Liz Phair, Kacey Musgraves, and Katy Perry got blended into a perfect summer smoothie.

She's serving Perry, Teenage Dream era in the production with songs like Juno, Espresso, Taste. That warm, summery Southern California vibe with 80s synths. Musgraves is in the country-leaning songs. And Phair is in the explicit lyrics. |

She has strongly reminded me of Katy since Espresso. That would’ve been such a good comeback single for Katy instead of… the actual attempt.
Her Barbie/Marilyn Monroe sex appeal, the playful personality, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, corny playful sexual innuendos, etc. I get so much prime 2008-2010 Katy vibes from her as an artist.

I'm really satisfied with what has been pushed already, I would like 'Bed Chem' and 'Juno' the most as singles, too, but wouldn't be mad if they don't make it
I know she didn't do numbers the last era but I see more single-worthy songs on 'emails I can't send' (mostly 'bet u wanna', 'Already Over' and 'Read Your Mind' which now that I think about it kind of feel like predecessors to this album's singles sonically)
