Idk if this is relevant but umm Drake just got B O D I E D by Pusha T. Oh and the song cover is Drake in f**king black face with a Jim Crow shirt on. The year of Drake may be ending pretty soon unless Drake comes bavk with some No Vaseline level of reply. Even if Drake fails to respond people will forget about this in a week and keep streaming Nice for What and God's Plan... Just like Nicki very clearly lost to Remy and yet Remy can't even crack the Hot 100. Lol, what? Nicki pounded Remy Ma into dust. She had her going on the Wendy Williams show sounding like Rush Limbaugh. Most people didn't even know who Remy Ma was. Now they just know her as the woman who Nicki Minaj ethered in 2017 on like 5 different songs.

Drake gonna flop now, watch.

I don't wanna get caught up in another controversial back and forth but come on... "shETHER" owned Nicki. That diss track was hard. Regardless of how many times Nicki got back at Remy and how much more success she had, nothing she spit out came even close to how savagely Remy handed her her ass.

What I mean by flop is only earn 800,000 copies instead of 1.3m which I originally thought he would sell. Success will obviously still come in Drake's favor just as The Light Is Coming is coming for #1. Ariana x Nicki x Drake will obviously go #1. *cough, cough* Drake, even though Ariana overpowers both in vocals and can outsell Butterfly with Sweetener since Ariana is a better version of Mariah.

Im sorry to say this but he wouldn't have even sold 1.3m to begin with, unless you meant SPS. His last album sold 800k on first week when sales were better than they are now.

Remy Ma just made an ass out of herself.
A lot of these older rappers don't understand that beef isn't about calling people "Gay-Z" anymore. It's about being calm and collected and appearing like the person in control.
Remy knew she was not the winner in the situation, so she Azalea Banksed herself.
In contrast, look at the way that people like Lil Pump, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty and 6ix9ine deal with beef and controversy. They let it roll right off their back.
Hear the tone of "Charged Up" and "Back to Back" in comparison to some of these old school attempts at diss tracks. Nobody wants to hear you sound like you're on Jerry Springer messily put over somebody else's beat.

What do you mean I'm trolling? There was no trolling sense in it whatsoever. I was just giving my thoughts on what could possibly happen. It's my predictions. Also, wrong thread? Am I missing out on something here? Apologies for the overreaction, im a drake stan so its been a rough day and a half for me. Just that we have a separate thread for predictions and you have "im upset" debuting unbelievably high 1. My bad didn't realize that. 2. I'm Upset has an opportunity to debut that high with sales and streaming. Maybe it won't debut that high but it will be up somewhere.

Wanna get everybody's opinion on this:
1. What percentage of Drake listeners will hear about the accusations that Pusha T is making?
2. Will people take the "secret child" accusations seriously? Or will they view it as petty rap beef?
3. Will people take the black face accusations seriously? Or will they view it as petty rap beef?
4. How many people would actually boycott Drake over the accusations?
My personal answer would be:
1. Probably a lot less than half. 2. Serious. 3. Not serious. 4. Very few
This reminds me a little bit of the Kanye thing. But also a lot different. Because Kanye's image has always been as a guy who is at least half insane.

It’s not a hit unless it makes the year end chart.

My post was not a serious one. Otherwise I would be saying that there could be AT MOST 100 hits in a year

Different levels of “hits”. Not only is #100 on YE a hit. #100 on the current weekly chart is too

But consider that a 1wk #100 on a weekly list is probably known by way less than 1 percent of the GP. Not my definition of a hit

I know her and Nicki worked together on a song, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere that TLIC is what they worked on together. I'm pretty sure TLIC was already finished before Nicki was doing something with her. Of course, she could just have a verse for it later on. Remember when everyone thought Nicki was on Be Alright but it was actually Side To Side? What I was originally referring to was that the Drake thing is just a rumor.

Versace was a much larger cultural phenomenon than it was a hit. I maybe listened to it twice but I saw it memed hundreds of times... I see what you’re saying tho. But does that mean if my group of friends and I listen to a song that only gets 20 streams per week that it’s a hit? It’s about the percentage of the population that listens to it. Of course times played is a factor but the current charting system accounts for that.

Versace is probably not the best example. Think of communities centered around artists who rarely get mainstream shine. Like modern rock communities or something. Or hipster music. Those types of communities act like any chart presence at all constitutes huge mainstream recognition. Or even that a person popular enough to chart is some sort of Pop star sell out. Lana Del Rey with "Video Games", which barely even charted, could maybe be a good examples. Apparently, hipster/indie communities and commentators went berserk over that song. Unless there's something more about that song that I'm not aware of.
