I thought LOUD had five top five hits No it only had 3. Only Girl, S&M, What's my name all peaked at #1. Cheers peaked at #7. Good Girl Gone Bad had 5 top ten hits, if you count the re-release. Umbrella, Disturbia, Take a Bow all peaked at #1. Don't stop the music peaked at #3 and Hate that I love you peaked at #7 or #8 I believe.

Kanye’s album still isn’t out yet, even though he livestreamed it, so his album bomb might not be as big as one would expect.

I think Sangria Wine is fun, such music is needed. As for Juice WRLD, All Girls Are The Same is good and Lucid Dreams is trash.

I feel the opposite about Juice WRLD.
"Lucid Dreams" is the good one. "All Girls Are The Same" is just weak as the title.

which means it's relevant to the 6/16 chart and not the 6/9 one...
Anyway, looks like Africa / Weezer along with High Hopes / Panic! at the Disco might have a shot at the Hot 100: the latter was doing strong all week, and the former made up for lost time by spacing its lead pretty widely from the competition (about 30% at its peak). Girls Like You will probably get an early debut because of a strong day 1 and Maroon 5's chokehold on radio.

Kanye's new sound seems similar to TLOP in terms of commercial friendliness. Could be a few on there that stick around to do as well as "Father Stretch My Hands Pt 1" by I doubt it. Maybe he can get some high debuts though.

Well we may have overhyped this Kanye album bomb lol. Most of the songs are..... not good.
Maroon 5 remain incredibly relevant even though they've haven't had a huge sing in years. Girls like you has 10 million views day one and doing good on iTunes. Should be enough for a top 30 debut and I'm sure radio is gonna eat it up.
By the time Scorpion comes out ZERO people are gonna give a fuck about anything Pusha T said tbh. It's still gonna be full of bops that's destroy Spotify.

Both versions of Girls Like You are charting in the top 10 of US Itunes (#6 and #1 respectively) Both versions count towards the Hot 100 right? Just like Perfect and Never Be The Same. Depending on tomorrow's streaming number, I think it's a solid top 10 hit, especially because it's feat. Cardi B

Yeah both versions are combined. With the video it should get a high entry.

I know it's a fifth single but with this great start on sales and Youtube it's a shame they didn't do a radio deal for Girls Like You. Could have been a contender for a top 10 debut.

Lmao, 60% of the top 10s this year have debuted top 10 so far.
5 years ago up to this week, 8% of the top 10s had debuted in top 10.

Maroon 5 hasn't had a flop single since 2015. All of their singles since Don't Wanna Know were hits. Huh.
And that new single already seems to be doing better than Wait

^ Ok I don't wanna spend too much time on this whole what's a hit conversation because it's annoying but there's a few things wrong with this.
1. You don't need to be a worldwide smash to be a hit in the US. This thread is for the US Hot 100 so that's the chart that determines what's a hit. Congratulations didn't go top 10 anywhere else (Wait actually did make top 10 in Belgium) and nobody would say Congratulations wasn't a hit.
2. Wait might not actually have peaked yet. I know it went 25-27 this week but that's just because of Yes Indeed and Fake Love, it still had a bullet. So for all we know it could scrape into the top 20.
3. Even if it doesn't, peak isn't the only factor, longevity is important too, it's very important to remember this. Remember Riptide? That was only a 30 peak and even despite wasting 170,000 points in 2014 it still made a respectable position on the 2015 year end list. Wait is right now at 19 weeks and at 27 isn't close to falling out. It's probably gonna start its descent soon because there's another single but it still should end up with 23-24 weeks and, more importantly, all but 4 were in the top 50.
4. Despite its low peak position it was at #7 on the radio and I heard it all the time on the radio. Is it a huge hit? Not really, I get the feeling that in 5 years it's gonna be all but forgotten, but right now I hear it a lot and it has a presence. Now I actually don't think the song is very good, in fact between the Youuuu-ouuuuuu-ouuuuuuuuuu-ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu and the plot of the song it's pretty hilariously bad, but as of now it's a song that's here and is a big part of the radio listening experience.
Edit: Also it's doing really well for a 4th single. Let's hope that Delicate does that too!

Is Billboard going to have Cardi B credited as a feature artist for Girls Like You or will it just debut as just purely Maroon 5 and no Cardi B Mentioned at all ?

Edit: Also it's doing really well for a 4th single. Let's hope that Delicate does that too! Delicate might enter top 20 at best, but I am happy because Taylor is happy. She got a #1, a top 10, and two top 20 singles out of reputation and she kept the promo very low-key. I like that she's avoiding the 2014-2015 TS oversaturation.

Yeah, from rep she got the weakest multi-wk number one of all time, and one of the weakest top 10s along with extremely weak top20s I really wouldn’t be happy if I were her, especially considering the gargantuan numbers 1989 put up
