if such a scenario were to happen i wouldn't find it difficult to imagine billboard doing something about it. like, i get that streaming is now *the* biggest determiner on the Hot 100 for what is actually the best-performing song out right now, i'm very pro-streaming myself… however, i'm not sure if billboard will see it fair that a handful of hit singles with great AI and streaming got pushed out of the top 10 because of a few album cuts that managed to get great streaming for a week. billboard has been pretty progressive in chart policy compared to other major markets like the UK (still trying to downplay streaming) and germany (still thinks revenue is a good way of measuring single success). but i am not entirely sure that i think that they'd let s**t slide that far. especially now considering that they've caved into the demands of the industry and are planning on downweighting free streams on the idea that revenue = popularity. it's a ticking Ed Sheeran in the UK timebomb waiting to happen at this point imo

If Drake captures the whole top 10 (and he won't) so be it.
Changes would impact the credibility of the popularity chart
Saying an act can only have a certain amount of entries on the chart makes no sense

All i know is that charts are going to be a monster load of drake the week of June 29th and i kinda cant wait to see!

I feel like Cardi will feel bad and cheap that she blocked XXX from getting his first and only number one because of his death. Like how do you celebrate winning/getting number one and blockin XXX

If his fans cared that much about him getting a number one hit then they’d have pushed for him to get it when he was still here.

I liked the idea that a song should be top 100 in two of the three fromates too chart, so if a song sells enough then it can debut with its high streams

I liked the idea that a song should be top 100 in two of the three fromates too chart, so if a song sells enough then it can debut with its high streams That would wipe out like 30% of the current chart, what with recurrent songs kicking a lot off the top 100 of airplay and the lack of streaming and sales support kicking the legs out of country songs. Sales are also too volatile thanks to low margins such that an otherwise single-metric song could keep re-entering and leaving as it became and de-became eligible.

I Like It out front for #1! Woo! Talent won! You actually like that song? It sucks ass I think it's fun. I wouldn't say it's one of the best songs I've ever heard but it's certainly better than SAD! and I'm not keen on the idea of an alleged rapist and abuser and admitted gay basher getting a #1 during pride month, or ever for that matter.

I kind of want Drake to take the entire top 20 or something so Billboard finally has to make some changes. I know a lot of you don't agree but I still think album bombs should be represented on the album chart alone.
I hope I Like It takes #1. Regardless of XXX's death or whether or not he was a bad person, I just don't enjoy that track.

I love SAD! and am annoyed by the Spanish in I Like It, so I prefer SAD over I Like It.

Also even if Cardi takes #1, at the end of the day it's music consumers like us who dictate the #1, so it's not like Cardi actively manipulated the chart or anything.

I love SAD! and am annoyed by the Spanish in I Like It, so I prefer SAD over I Like It. ' It's because 'he doesn't even speak spanish'. But in all seriousness, how is one 'annoyed' by a language you don't understand being in a song? I can understand if you liked songs you can understand better since you can appreciate the lyrics etc. but 'annoyed' is a different thing...
