I still really like "I Got A Car" but there are many (obviously) that I would put ahead of it on both this album alone and his overall singles catalog. Thanks for hosting bboat11 love these George album rankdowns! |

so happy "I Got A Car" won, as it is easily the best song on that album, though the entire album is really good!

P-P-Purfect rankings for 3, 2 and 1!!! Glad to see “That’s What Breaking Hearts Do” land inside the top 3 since I believe it was also George’s favorite album track from Love Is Everything. I’m surprised (but maybe I shouldn’t be) to see “Give It All We Got Tonight” as the most polarizing song of the album, but it’s certainly one that I’ve come to enjoy more and more as the years go by. And then we have the winner “I Got a Car” which has always been my favorite song from the album. I’m glad it was able to peak inside the top 20 even though it ended up being a long climb up the chart...”I Believe” definitely took the wind from the sails on that one. Thanks again for hosting these bboat11 ! I might’ve already begun work on completing some of the other albums on my long drive back home yesterday  |

There you have it!!!! After an epic battle resulting in a super close top 6, "That's What Breaking Hearts Do" and "Give It All We Got Tonight" managed to lock horns at the end for a tie in the runner-up position. I gave the winner of the tie to GIAWGT because it had 3 #1 ranks compared to TWBHD only having 1. However, TWBHD was the clear #2 contender for the majority of the submission process... "Give It All We Got Tonight" was barely even on pace to make the top 5, until all those random tankers for the rest of the top 6 happened, allowing this song to jump past almost all of them at the last minute  I must say I am not entirely pleased with that result, as it doesn't really reflect what was actually happening throughout the submission process... Ideally THIS would have been the song to barely miss out at #6, allowing "When Love Comes Around Again" to compete with the other album tracks and IGAC in the top 5! "I Got A Car", as most of you predicted, was the uncontested winner, winning easily with almost a 35-point lead! Everybody put this song in their top 5 except for me and LBTrocks , so it is definitely the most deserving winner! I love IGAC, but the whole album is so strong that I couldn't put it any higher than I did. I still consider it among my favorites from the album though! Thanks for the rankdown! Surprised for all the love for GIAWGT, but not surprised that IGAC won. |

man if i had to pick a song of George's that i cant stand. it would be Give It All We Got Tonight. that song is just downright annoying as hell. the echoes and the stupid production on that track was not needed. his only other song i cant stand would be River of Love & I Belive those are the only 3 tracks of his that i hate of his entire discography.

even tho its not my #1. I Got A Car is amazing and deserves it. it should have been the real 60th #1 hit for him. can't wait for the next 2 album rankdowns. as i already have my ranks ready lol.

Cool, we wiped out 2/3 of those songs with this latest rankdown! 1 to go, and it's only a couple sets away! Sounds to me like the rest of this album series is going to be very fun for you :) |

I agree that the additional background vocals/echoes weren’t really needed on “Give It All We Got Tonight” and I’m also puzzled that they use that effect in the live performance of the song. That being said, this song works really well live and George puts a lot of energy into it. And while “River of Love” isn’t highly regarded among George’s stellar discography, this is another song that works really well live and I can always tell George has a lot of fun singing it. |

I just submitted both lists. I liked Right or Wrong a tad bit less than Strait from the Heart. Here for a Good Time is a fine album, one I go back to often

Can this be extended too? Please please please?!?!? bboat11 Sorry for the slow response. I didn't want to extend this, but since I did so for 2018 Country, I don't have that immediate pressure on the back-end to finish these albums up! So if you (or anyone else) need(s) another week, you can have it  New deadline is next Sunday, 1/13! That'll still give me a couple weeks to get this finished up before starting 2018. |
