I really LOVE Horses now but I still can't get over the Shatter vocals. What a choice! Also, Different Kind of World is the better produced sister of Happier Than Ever.
Edit: Obsessed with Shatter now, LOL. This album is so...urgent! I feel like my least favorite is Honey, just because it doesn't really stick out, but it's not bad, just not particularly memorable.

I’m not sure if this album is clicking with me. I feel like it’s a little noisy/gratey, and kinda just there. I agree she feels at home though. I’m gonna have to give it a few more spins. There are a few tracks I do enjoy though. Want Want Overdrive Be Cool This. The exact first half of the album stuck with me more but I’m going to give it time to sink in.

Anywhere With You has officially moved to the pole position. That song knocks me on my ass.

Debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 with 25k SPS.
Heard It in a Past Life opened at #2 with 49k SPS (37k sales) but it also had a ticket bundle.

Too bad it wasn’t top 10, but she was up against Beyonce, so I’m not too sure how many were streaming her album. I know I wasn’t, and I was just as excited for hers.

RENAISSANCE has a very tight grip on me right now and Maggie's sound just doesn't go with it. I was able to bring myself to checking out Calvin Harris' (tragic) album and I will listen to Megan Thee Stallion's new album tonight, but unfortunately not in the mood for Maggie Rogers at this moment. I did finally get my Heard It in a Past Life vinyl last month so you know I'm a fan.

I got Maggie's CD with Beyonce's when they came out and listened to it once so far, but yeah, I'm the same. I have every intention of diving into it but I'm not there yet because I'm also still with Bey's album, and other summery/pop/upbeat stuff. It gets harder to juggle multiple new releases as you age :'(

Since I waited to listen to Renaissaucy until the following weekend when I finally got my hands on it, I had plenty of time with Surrender. I love it so much.

Exciting! I didn’t love the last as much as her first, so I am looking forward to new music sooner than later.

Very smart of her, since the last album didn’t connect with her base as much.

Listened to HIIAPL the other day and it still holds up! Need to revisit Surrender.

I loved the preview, but I think it doesn't work as a lead single for a new era. I wasn't expecting her to comeback "so fast", maybe it's just a buzz single like "Love You For a Long Time"

She played this at ACL last year. It's cute, but I had actually forgotten about it. Still looking forward to the album. Surrender is still in heavy rotation for me.

It's not great as "Surrender" and "Heard In a Past Life" but it's still a solid album.

Totally forgot this was out today. I ordered it on vinyl without even hearing clips of anything besides hearing the first single a couple times. While critics are raving and saying it's her best album, I am kinda nervous, because, from the reviews, it sounds like she went full out Lilith Fair/90s alt-pop like Michelle Branch and that is not really my jam at all. I do love Maggie's voice, so I am willing to give it a try. I guess it's too late since the vinyl is on its way.

This is EASILY Maggie's weakest (and whitest, LOL) album and yet, it's still solid. That's a testament to her voice and songwriting, but it definitely lacks the bite and power of Surrender (her best album officially) and the soulful pop of HIIAPL, so it just doesn't excite me..The 1-2-3 -4-5 TKO Light's Out of Overdrive - That's Where I Am - Want Want - Anywhere With You - Horses remains unmatched. I give this a B. Mildly disappointed, to be honest.
The Kill (Maybe her best written song ever??) All The Same Drunk Don't Forget Me I Still Do So Sick Of Dreaming It Was Coming All Along If Now Was Then (I can't tell if she is deliberately recycling her melody from the Alaska chorus here, but...she is.) Never Going Home On & On & On
