He's already been teasing fans with the promise of new music soon so I think there's close to a 0% chance of any more singles from his debut. I'd bet we'll have a new lead single from him by the beginning of summer.

And if they need to fill any downtime they can run with Brand New Man.

I'd bet we'll have a new lead single from him by the beginning of summer. I'm betting there'll be a new lead single either premiered at the ACMs, or perhaps even dropping just before. Or he could sing "Beautiful Crazy" on the show but still release a new single around the same time. "Beautiful Crazy" will finish February at #1 and likely still be there in early March, and I don't think there'll be much of a gap at all between this song and the lead single to his sophomore album. I think it's pretty likely we'll get "Beer Never Broke My Heart" as the lead single, since that seems to be generating a lot of early buzz, and his current tour (which started January 31 and goes through mid May) is named after that song. This is turning out to be another smash for Luke, but I'm gonna predict 'only' 2-3 weeks at #1, because I really think radio is itching for something new (I'm sure Luke and all the folks at the label know what the lead single will be, and radio programmers might already have a pretty good idea as well) and therefore I don't think Columbia Nashville will push to keep this at #1 for as long as they did with "She Got The Best Of Me".

Makes sense to me to let Beautiful Crazy’s recurrent AirPlay (+ maybe) Brand New Man take over in March. Then April, or maybe St Patty’s weekend release Beer Never Broke My Heart.
Dear lord is this guy on fire. It’s been since maybe Chesney around 2007 that I’ve seen an artist this hot

The song was already pretty close to being acoustic in its original form so that version didn't feel very necessary to me and the differences were minimal, but it was nice enough. I'd like to see him hit #1 on the HCS chart so every little thing they can do to help push it there would be nice.

Makes an impressive move in Canada: #10 to #3. Luke Combs is huge in Canada as well.

5 in a row too from a debut album! This is a new record as he officially passes Clint Black for most #1’s from a debut. Luke Bryan has to be close though as he put on a strong showing for the top. I like both songs so it didn’t matter to me which one got it. The big question now is did Luke Bryan have max spin ads out or not? If he did then Luke Combs will be at the top for awhile I’d say.

Yeah, Bryan is done. Last week was the label’s big push and he’ll start falling this week, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Oh yeah besides passing Clint Black he also passed Brooks & Dunn and Florida Georgia Line who also had 4 consecutive #1singles from a debut album. I think Luke is going to just keep having #1’s the rate he’s going. Before it’s all said and done we could be saying 10 or more straight to start a career for him. I don’t think we’ve had anyone this big come around in country music since Garth and that’s some awful big shoes to fill if you ask me.

What Luke's done is certainly impressive, but to me there is a distinction between Clint and Brooks & Dunn's 4 #1s and Luke's 5, since two of his are not on the original version of his debut album. I don't think he owns the record of the most #1s from a debut album, or at the very lease his record has an asterisk beside it.

Brad Paisley rerecorded and released Waitin' On A Woman on deluxe versions of 5th Gear. A decade later, Luke Combs adds tracks to his debut album. However, if you have the deluxe versions of both albums and I told you to play all the #1s off each, you'd be playing five songs off of the Paisley CD and the Combs album. I know that penalizes those who only have the original versions of both albums.

There's another small error in the article: Billboard said that "When It Rains It Pours" hit the top in its 28th week, when it actually did it in only 19 weeks.

He still has a long way to go to break the record for most consecutive #1's to start a career. I made a mistake saying the record was his earlier but after looking at my new Joel Whitburn book I see Alabama had 20 consecutive #1's to start their career and unless I've missed someone (I'm reading every artist alphabetically) the next best artist I've found is Exile who had 10 consecutive #1's to start their career.

Two things: 1. Alabama already charted during the 1970s prior to signing with RCA Records in 1980. 2. Exile's first country single, The High Cost Of Leaving peaked in the twenties.

Now officially his best showing on the Hot 100 as well, which I expected it to do. Five #1 airplay hits, all of which sold and streamed incredibly well and peaked in the Top 40 of the Hot 100. This guy is on fire. I cannot wait for new music and to see how well his sophomore era does for him.

Lol I'm hating Billboard at the moment. Their recent article on George Strait said he charted every year from 1990-2015. I know they like to start with the BDS Era, but in this case, they're missing the years of 1981-1989.

I did however update the list in my Country Top 10 thread by looking through the book. I'd be interested to see what songs you have of George Jones' going top 10. You told me you had him at 79 I think and the book says 78. I don't recall him having a top 10 hit after 2010 either.

The most impressive achievement of this song is dethroning Meant To Be on country streaming chart. I believe it is the first non-holiday song that dethroned Meant To Be there. Also while Billboard highlighted the fact that Luke Combs got #1 on four country charts (Hot Country Songs/Airplay/Streaming/Sales), I think it is entirely possible that he would return to top on album chart next week while maintaining #1 everything else, so he would be the second person other than Kane Brown to do so.

Honestly as fast as his singles move up the chart I’d go ahead and release “Houston We Have A Problem”. Then they could have a lead single and new album ready to go at the CMA awards and into the holiday season.
Still a lot of meat left on this bone.
Didn’t Shania go like 10 singles deep on Come on Over?

Didn’t Shania go like 10 singles deep on Come on Over? "Houston, We Got A Problem" does appear in the New And Active section of the Billboard Airplay Chart this week. I think they'll move on to new music soon but there is still some radio airplay for "Houston" going on. I absolutely would not complain about a release of "Houston" though since that is my favorite of the deluxe editions tracks.

“Must’ve Never Met You”, “Houston We Got A Problem”, “Lonely One” and “Memories Are Made Of” are all giant hits that will never see the light of day unfortunately. He could probably go 8 singles deep at this point honestly.

Never Met You is already certified Gold. Would make sense as a next release due to its obvious popularity...if they want to go for another off this album. Lonely One, I Got Away With You, and Houston are great options too.

Who's even the closest competitor to take over for "Beautiful Crazy" at #1 on Billboard? Can "Millionaire" hang on long enough? After that you have to go all the way down to Riley Green and Michael Ray to find anybody with a chance, but they're over 16 million in audience away. As long as Jordan Davis doesn't sneak in a week at #1 on Billboard (which I don't expect he will), this thing should be a lock for 4 weeks at #1, maybe even 5 if Stapleton throws in the towel. Perfect timing for this song honestly.
