Really happy "Without Me" managed to get the #1! I'm hoping "High Hopes" could reach a new peak in the coming weeks with its continued gains in airplay and its solid gains on spotify. Is it possible it could challenge for #1 at some point? Maybe with a well timed discount on iTunes when it peaks on airplay? I hope so. I am in love with Brandon Urie. |

Lmao Ariana is white, she's Italian. Halsey is in the same situation as Logic, where she's white but I guess her father was black and her mother was white so technically she's biracial? I don't understand how all that stuff works. Anyways, I think the statement from Kelly Price is stupid since last year's #1's were mostly by people of color, 3 of which were by women of color. Frfr. POC in general dominated 2018. Didn't every #1 have at least 1 POC? The only one I don't count is TUN. Im sorry I just see Ariana as white and so does my community. Yeah, she may be a little darker than I am (I'm mixed Asian/white and it depends on lighting), but I'm closer to being a "person of color" than she is, lol. I don't generally identify with that though. |

I said what i said. She is white passing, and Halsey is too. My community sees them as white. Pretty much everyone sees them as white no offense. Mariah looks more POC than both of them, and even she could pass as white sometimes.  |

Chart records and notable things to watch Halsey gets the 1081st #1 in Hot 100 History Girls Like You is in the top 10 for a 28th week Chart record set for Mariah Carey, biggest drop off the Hot 100 (#3) - Breaking the Prince record for Purple Rain in 2016 which left from #4I'm not sure that Mariah record is anything to crow about. You don't understand how bi-racial works? What country are you from? I ask since I know that could potentially work differently based on where you're from. Anyway, having a non-white parent certainly makes someone part non-white in the U.S. Here that most certainly then qualifies you as a "minority" when it comes to official documentation and the like. In terms of how people perceive you socially, it obviously depends on how you look and whether they know the make-up of your parents. |

Record companies are collecting pure profit from catalog songs that don't need promotion. Trust me they are loving it - Christmas songs are truly the gift that keeps giving. |
