Knowing J. Cole, it probably won't be a radio-friendly single and even if it is, his attempts at radio hits always fail. At best, it'll have a high debut and quickly fall off the charts. I'm open to be proven wrong, though. j.cole also is a streaming monster. It will be good to see how it will chart on AM because AM loves urban. I wouldn't call him a "streaming monster". He's big enough to pull huge streaming numbers in his album debut weeks, but none of his songs have any longevity. They always fall off the charts immediately after they debut. That's his entire chart history run. |

Almost every big act in music uses these to get an explosive start. The song's performance after the deal has subsided is where we pay most attention to. |

Is this stan twitter? Payola is the very illegal practice of paying radio stations to play a song. A radio deal =/= payola. Radio stations pay attention to the songs people want to hear (for the most part), so it’s not really surprising that they’re playing the song that’s been #1 on Spotify, Apple Music, and iTunes for the past four days. |

Ariana Grande's fifth studio album, "thank u, next" will be released on February 8, 2019. It already has major hype by not only her fanbase but also the GP. If it gets promoted hard enough by Spotify and Apple Music, it has the potential to outsell Drake's album, Scorpion, which broke Spotify and AM records. The current number for most songs in the top 10 in a single week is Drake with 7. I see Ariana coming close, maybe 4 in one week. I feel like NASA, needy and break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored all the potential to get in the top 10 as well as obviously 7 rings and TUN which will probably be #1 and #2 on the week of the release.
