I see it will last like 6-7 more weeks at the Top 10.

The leaders Torn, Natalie Imbruglia 32 Ah "Torn" was such a monster, that song is timeless. Basically held the record for 20 years. And holds a #42 peak on H100. Tragic. Since Billboard was doing test charts for weeks/months, they should have given retroactive ‘peaks’ to those songs that chart after the major switch. My recollection was that Torn, Iris, Real World and Are You that Somebody suffered the worst post-switch fates.

It’s why charts are fun but they don’t always tell the full story.

7 Rings first week U.S. streams (minus YT): 55,167,975 (w/ YT probs an add. 15-20 million; debut week should be 70-75 million)

Billboard needs to re-examine the songs from 1994-1998, a lot of popular non-singles have been screwed because of the rules.

Years? I mean yes if you are referring to Ariana’s career. But if you talking in general, God’s Plan, Nice For What and In My Feelings were massive.

Here’s a question:
Between Rihanna and Mariah Carey, whom is the biggest artist at U.S radio the past 30 years?
• Most Radio Songs #1’s.
Rihanna: 13 Mariah Carey: 11
• Most Radio Songs Top 10’s.
Rihanna: 29 Mariah Carey: 23
• Most Radio Songs Top 20’s.
Rihanna: 72 Mariah Carey: 58
• Most Cumulative Weeks at #1.
Mariah Carey: 91 Rihanna: 75
Rihanna will be the “Radio Songs Artist of the 2010’s”, much like how Mariah Carey was the “Radio Songs Artist of the 1990’s”. Both artists also completely DOMINATED Pop / Rhythmic / Urban Radio at their respective peaks (albeit Mariah Carey had more reasonable AC/HAC success which Rihanna never did).
Rihanna was also named the “Greatest Pop Songs Artist of All Time” by BILLBOARD. Overall, I think Mariah Carey had a slightly bigger peak in audience on the airplay charts but Rihanna served far more consistency which is a core element of which she reigns supremes.

^ If we are measuring it by Nielsen audience impressions and including all radio formats, as well as recurrent play from when the songs aren't on the Billboard Hot 100, I think it's a little hard to say. Mariah has been around longer and has had more time to gather recurrent play, but audience levels overall weren't as high during her peak in the 90s to mid-2000s as Rihanna's peak during the late 2000s to 2010s, and Rihanna has also gained a lot of recurrent play during her 15 years on the charts. And we would also have to consider whether only partial credit would be given to features and duets, in which case Rihanna would be severely disadvantaged, so there's many different variables to consider...

I used the word “often,” not every... And I disagreed with the word "often" and never said "every" so... Something happening 50% of the time, which is what you said, is "often."

Overall, I think Mariah Carey had a slightly bigger peak in audience on the airplay charts but Rihanna served far more consistency which is a core element of which she reigns supremes. This is where the various methods of tabulating airplay become relevant. Mariah has certainly had more than 11 songs hit #1 in airplay under the rules applied to Rihanna singles. I believe Mariah has had 15 songs hit #1 at Top 40. If all formats counted as they do now, something like "Always Be My Baby" would have likely been #1 in overall airplay as well. She'd have also possibly hit the top 10 with "My All" and/or "Butterfly."

Was Mariah's "Butterfly" pushed to radio stations in the U.S.? I had no idea. Yes. Pop: #14 Rhythmic: #8 AC: #11 HAC: #35 Overall. Radio: #16 The ‘Butterfly’ era was the beginning of the backlash that Carey started to receive from Mottola and co. in regards to the music she wanted to release. “Honey” and “My All” were the only songs that received full commercial releases with extensive promotion whereas the other singles - “Breakdown”, and ”The Roof” - were relagated to R&B Airplay/Overall Radio only.

7 Rings radio audience drop was expected due to the eighth day effect. With Sixteen's radio audience dropping a week after reaching #1 in Country Airplay which is normal for songs that haven't crossed over to other formats.

Well. 7 rings fell -8M in audience. I’m not surprised. All that payola was used for it to debut at #1. Yikes

I’m surprised Tequila’s radio prescence hasn’t been discussed more. Feels like it’s been in the top 25 in radio for the last 4 months and always seems to be rising despite its chart run being over. Impressive to say the least

Impressive to say the least Yup, one thing I don't like about Billboard's rules: if a song goes recurrent, it drops out of airplay even though it could still be top 15 in airplay... They don't do that for streaming or sales. "Delicate", "New Rules" both peaked in the top 10 year end airplay, but probably could've peaked even higher if their chart runs on airplay weren't cut so short.

It's amazing how well Halsey's "Without Me" is doing on streaming especially for a pop song.

"7 rings" is #1 sis, and everyone that doubted Ariana is crying in the corner, again. I don't know how much longer she'll keep this up, but she is dominating as much as, if not more than how Taylor Swift did in 2014-15 and Katy Perry in 2010-12.

Indeed, the fact that she's taking over the out-of-the-gate streaming records WW from Drake and Ed Sheeran is quite something.
