Trying to save Mariah again?
The song is cute, reminds me of the 1989 era which is a great signal.

This sounded like it was going somewhere... but never got to that point? That’s my only issue. I like that it sounds like something off the soundtrack to The Breakfast Club though. I could see myself going back to it. Low-key can’t wait for the album. 😌

This new song is...phenomenal??? This is what she should be doing. The last two songs were not it for me. THIS is next level Taylor Swift and what she should be making at this point in her career. i can see the crossover into adult indie Taylor and I am here for it!! The best thing I’ve heard from her in the last four years. 👏🏽 and i’m not a huge swift fan :)

This is like a 1989'd "Last Kiss". <3

Zach Meyers of Shinedown likes it! Zach Myers 6 mins · Ok ..... I see you Taylor Swift .... Missed me with the last album and the 1st two tracks off this album. But this is a song and 1/2 As for me, love this! Nice of him to give her a "second chance."

No idea who or what Shinedown is, but I glad it likes this song as much as I do! Easily best of the 3. Almost made me cry 45 seconds in. So gorgeous.

Too bad it's not getting a music video/radio push! This could be a great fall single in my opinion, a la "Begin Again" and "Wildest Dreams"-ish. Best of 3 so far, and potentially better than anything on reputation besides "Getaway Car" for me

So, they are like Nickelback, but not nearly as successful. Cool.

I'm lost on this one. It sounds like she took the boring production on "You Are In Love" and slowed it down to the tempo of "This Love". Like the latter, there are some great lyrics hidden in the boring production, but I also don't like the way she delivers the vocals here. I also hear some "Dress" in this one, and I don't like that song much at all, either.
All in all, it sounds like a song that didn't quite make the cut for 1989. Not really excited she continues to work so much with someone who consistently delivers the worst songs on her albums (for me).

It's a nice track and vibe. I like it, won't mind it if it pops up, but just not something I would seek out to listen to. If it is an Antonoff song, hopefully the chorus isn't just the title repeated 10x like LWYMMD and OOTW. Spot on about repetitive lyrics lol.

^ Excuse me but in no way does that imply that they couldn't use or write different lyrics there. In my opinion this part elevates the song to a whole different level of '80s synthpop nostalgia and it adds so much to the song. In the same way the repetition in "Out Of The Woods" makes the song sound more intense & makes you pay attention.
Y'all are mad about anything these days. There are numerous pop album interludes for you to enjoy if you're looking for a song with no repeated lyrics.

I think the lyrics are way more revealing than has initially been picked up on. I get the feeling that the “go no where” will fit in a lot better in the context of the whole album. It’s almost purposeful how suddenly the song ends.

This song just isn't for me, and my opinion is that the repetitive lyrics are annoying and bore me - I was even quick to put (my opinion) in my initial post about the song. The fact that she really only does all this repeating with Jack, is enough for me to want her to stop working with him. Your opinion is valid for you, too. No sweat.

I love The Archer, but I basically can’t get enough of all of her work with Jack. OOTW and GC never burned on me and they are by far the most played tracks from their albums. They truly make magic together and really seem to take me to a place in pop music that only Taylor is doing exceptionally well. It’s like mainstream deep-cut material.

Archer is #2 on Spotify US, only 14k behind Senorita.
Not bad for a promo single (and considering Spotify reduced its WW streams 3.9m -> 2.9m compared to the counter).

Random question...is there anywhere to download the Wildest Dreams radio edit so that it can be added to my Apple Music library? I used to have it, but now it’s greyed out and won’t play saying that it’s unavailable in my region (USA). I really enjoy the extra punch that the radio edit packs, but it seems like it’s no longer available?

Marooned@Midnight “Wildest Dreams (Radio Edit)” is pretty much the best thing Taylor has ever released. That being said, I don’t think it was ever available for download on iTunes or anywhere. So even if you get it, I don’t think you’ll be able to play it on your phone cause Apple Music is a pain in the ass. However, if you want the song, PM me.
