This has likely been pointed out, but none of their quotes actually refute what she said. For instance, Taylor never said they weren't allowing her to perform at all; she said they weren't allowing her to perform her old music. |

Multiple sources from different publications have seen the letter BM sent indicating that they were not going to clear the songs for the AMAs or the Netflix film. It's Donald Trump levels of lying to pretend they're innocent.

I wonder if Taylor knew this would be a win-win situation for her. IMO she doesn’t perform her old songs at the AMAs. Why would she want to promote her catalog before she gets a chance to re-record it? That only profits those two douche bags.
However, she must have known that they’d deny it. Thus exposing themselves as the rats that they are. Taylor then goes on to perform Lover and The Man and comes out looking like a hero. Lol if this was her plan I love her even more for it. Expose them Tay.

Admittedly, those were probably the biggest promotional events since Lover's release, so maybe it was partly because it's what the event organizers wanted. I'm fully expecting her to drop the TS8 lead any minute now, since HITSDD said that she has a new record coming soon unrelated to Lover and Cats.
I can see it now, the lead single is a trap song with LWYMMD x Better Than Revenge vibes and it instantly flies to No. 1 on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, every single platform and becomes her sixth No. 1 on the Hot 100.
Just let me live in my overly optimistic bubble for a little while.

I don't get why empowering other female artists has to involve the degrading of others. Regardless of Demi's perceived dislike for Taylor (not like she's the only one who's made their opinion known), she signed with Scooter before this whole situation went down so I don't see how she's at fault for doing that. Bringing her up in this when she's hasn't even spoken about this situation was pointless and thee way it was done is absolutely distasteful.
Regarding this entire situation, it must be so exhausting and frustrating for her right now. Not being able to perform your own songs must suck like hell especially when receiving an award of such magnitude. November 2020 can't come any sooner

I don't think Joel Little or the YNTCD director got nominated. Laura Sisk did however. That bodes well for SOTY and AOTY. marsblyr checked most of her collaborators for which ones got noms and he thinks it might be pop album, SOTY and AOTY. |
