Just updated the stats for her repeat listens on last.fm after not tracking them for a few weeks. Since last.fm shows both the listeners and scrobbles for a song, it allows you to see how often people come back to various songs. The pre-release songs are at an advantage since they're the only new music fans had to listen to for a few weeks + were out longer + some fans spam streaming them for charts but for the 14 other songs it should be a good indicator of their appeal. Average repeat listens per listener ME!: 17.95 (+2.90%) You Need To Calm Down: 15.64 (+6.75%) Lover: 14.28 (+17.32%) Cruel Summer: 13.83 (+44.52%) The Archer: 12.86 (+11.05%) Miss Americana: 11.79 (+40.07%) Afterglow: 10.24 (+38.94%) Cornelia Street: 10.02 (+40.29%) False God: 9.89 (+40.38%) Death By A Thousand Cuts: 9.80 (+42.99%) I Think He Knows: 9.55 (+39.33%) London Boy: 9.47 (+42.29%) Paper Rings: 9.45 (+38.77%) The Man: 9.29 (+37.37%) Daylight: 8.89 (+40.02%) I Forgot That You Existed: 8.07 (+36.18%) It's Nice To Have A Friend: 7.61 (+37.21%) Soon You'll Get Better: 6.18 (+30.67%) Update Cruel Summer: 18.66 (+34.90%) ME!: 18.27 (+1.77%) Lover: 17.16 (+20.15%) You Need To Calm Down: 16.74 (+7.01%) Miss Americana: 15.29 (+29.68%) The Archer: 14.36 (+11.66%) Afterglow: 13.19 (+28.78%) False God: 13.18 (+33.31%) Cornelia Street: 13.10 (+30.75%) Death By A Thousand Cuts: 13.08 (+33.47%) The Man: 12.68 (+36.48%) I Think He Knows: 12.48 (+30.73%) London Boy: 12.31 (+30.01%) Paper Rings: 12.10 (+28.09%) Daylight: 11.92 (+34.06%) I Forgot That You Existed: 10.22 (+26.67%) It's Nice To Have A Friend: 9.57 (+25.77%) Soon You'll Get Better: 7.72 (+24.97%) Looks like Cruel Summer is still a solid single choice. The Man has been picking up momentum, although there's still several other album tracks ahead of it when it comes to repeat listens (Miss Americana especially). IFTYE must be getting a tonne of playlisting or benefiting from being the first track on the album, or something for it to be doing so well on Spotify... because the repeat listens continue to be very low and aren't increasing as fast as most other album tracks.

Surprised Billboard didn't have any articles centered on Lover being the only 2019 release to cross 1 million in sales. That was kind of a big accomplishment to go under the radar.

That makes it the 6th time she has the highest selling (US pure sales) album released in that year. Her only album that fell short was Speak Now which is a few % behind Eminem's Recovery. A feat she's achieved more often than the next two artists combined between 1967 and 2019 (the next two being Led Zeppelin and The Beatles).

Sad to see the song’s run end on the charts. The best single from this era by far. It looks like Taylor is releasing The Man next.

Does anyone think she'll perform at the Grammy's? I mean it'd be great for early "The Man" promo. I'm ready for a serve.

If she performs at the Grammys it will definitely be Lover. With the big campaign for the song I've seen her throw around I'd be surprised to see otherwise.

Considering who she is, if she was performing I assume she would have been announced already.

The film being called "Miss Americana" Makes me think Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince will be a single. A Grammy performance and then a music video included in the film perhaps?

All that "The Man" hype and playlisting and it can't still beat the two ancient 1989 tracks.

"Miss Americana" as next single would be a very inspired choice, but I think it could gain better momentum by being promoted during the election period, with the music video serving as a statement for her political views.
On another note, do we know already if the documentary is rated TV-MA or +13? I saw varying screenshots on Instagram with either one of those, even though we were assuming it would be rated TV-MA. If anyone wants to enlighten me, I would be most grateful.

I don't think I've ever been less excited about a potential TSwift single tbh. And it's weird because I enjoy the song, it's just that I think it's a really poor choice.

I swear, Taylor Swift messed up really badly by having "Lover" as a single so early. She should have released "The Man" or "Cruel Summer" as singles attached to the album release, and then pushed "Lover" near the winter season à la "Perfect". The way it turned out, the song completely lost momentum and never got to have a proper boost, and that remix with Shawn Mendes, as awful as it is, was its only saving grace preventing it from going recurrent sooner. I'm so worried this song will end up being caught between years, and it seems to be the current likely scenario. 😬

Singles
01 Shake It Off vs. ME! - Hit #1 and #2, respectively, in the Hot 100. Both introduce a new version of Taylor from the previous era.
02 Blank Space vs. You Need to Calm Down - Hit #1 and #2, respectively, in the Hot 100. the biggest radio hit in each Era.
03 Style vs. Lover - Hit #6 and #10, respectively, in the Hot 100. Songs that destroyed the streak on achieving the same peak as the first two singles, but are SUPERIOR in terms of quality among all singles.
04 Bad Blood vs. The Man - Both charted on Hot 100 during album release week. Both will feature a rapper in the remix. Will reach the same peak as the first two singles. Both will feature a girl power video. Both will tackle a feud with another person in the industry. But the latter is more empowering, though.

I’m hoping there’s an unreleased song on the documentary that is very personal and not in the veins of Lover and so when the doc comes out the song will too, making it eligible for an Oscar. At least that’s what I would do if I had a doc coming out

But the latter is more empowering, though. We can only hope...and yes, "The Man" is infinitely superior to "Bad Blood" and much more empowering as well. So, if we continue this pattern... 05 Wildest Dreams vs. Cruel Summer - fan-favorites getting an incredible, cinematic music video. Peak in the top 5, but don't have much longevity compared to the other singles. 06 Out Of The Woods vs. Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince - barely cracks the top 20, but gets a powerful music video released after or during a major music event, said event which also features a live performance of the song similar to its tour counterpart. 07 New Romantics vs. Paper Rings - two songs that deserved better get a music video consisting of behind-the-scenes footage of the tour. Both get little promotion and barely crack the top 50.

Are we getting another single at all? Feels like it should have been released by now, with "Lover" dead. Maybe she's just going dormant until May, since she thinks "Cruel Summer" can only come out in the Summer.
