Never lined up as a performer or too embarrassed to say she was but pulled out cause of the mess? I mean Ken absolutely hates Taylor so... wouldn't be shocking.

If Taylor really did step down from a Grammy attendance because of a political reason, why wouldn't she make it public? She's been way to vocal about her feminism stances lately to not use that as an opportunity to bring it up again, especially with the new single being about that exactly.
So I'm still extremely skeptical and believe it's due to a personal issue first and foremost.

Inside Taylor Swift’s bad blood with Grammy attorney By Carlos Greer January 28, 2020 | 8:46pm The drama over Taylor Swift’s decision to bail on a surprise performance at the Grammys is intertwined with her all-out war with Scooter Braun, Page Six has learned. Last week, we reported that Swift was planning to perform her feminist anthem “The Man” at Sunday’s awards show. But she decided not to perform, after a former executive alleged that there had been serious sexual misconduct inside the Recording Academy, which runs the Grammys. One of the allegations that caused Swift to not perform was made against the Recording Academy’s general counsel, Joel Katz. In fact, we’re told that Katz drafted the legal papers that Swift claims have prevented her from performing her own songs live. At the time, Swift called Braun an “incessant, manipulative bully.” “[Katz] is at the forefront of sexual-harassment allegations,” says a music insider. “There is no way she was going to support that. Taylor is about supporting women.” Katz negotiated the sale of Swift’s music catalog and of her former record label, Big Machine Label Group, to Braun in June. Ousted Recording Academy CEO Deborah Dugan mentioned Katz in a legal filing she submitted last week, claiming he had sexually harassed her and attempted to kiss her at a dinner. Katz has denied the incident. Meanwhile, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich confirmed in a new interview with Variety that Swift was interested in performing at the show. “She had called us and said, ‘I really want to do the show’ … One of her representatives called and said, specifically, that she wanted to do the show for me. And then it was not confirmed,” he said. “She was never booked. I had her in a rundown. There was a placeholder if it did confirm. But she was never confirmed.” Ehrlich added he wasn’t allowed to say why she didn’t confirm, “but I understood her reasoning, let’s just say that.” Swift’s rep did not comment. pagesix.com/2020/01/28/taylor-swifts-canceled-grammys-performance-tied-to-scooter-braun-feud/

Ken lied about Ariana last year, I wouldn't be shocked if he lied about Taylor too.

The film is out on Netflix. The song hasn’t appeared on any streaming or digital platforms.
EDIT: I finished watching the film. I'm lowkey underwhelmed. I loved what we got. But we didn't get much.

Miss Americana is sooo good. I love how it covers all the big moments in her career without exaggerating it. I love how genuine the documentary is. It makes me fall all over again for her.

Yeah I liked Taylor's Doc "Miss Americana". Towards the end when Taylor is talking about how female artists how to stay successful and ageism in the Music industry is great. Storywise, There could of been more. But I liked what was shown. As for the song "Only The Young", Nice song and fits the theme of the doc, the only problem with it is sounds like a "Lover" leftover track from the album.

I mean she said she kept herself from putting it on the album, so it's gonna sound like a Lover reject lol. I love the song and I'm kinda shocked at how short it is (2:38!) I hope I get to see the doc but that's probably not gonna happen

Excited to watch the documentary tomorrow. Early reviews are good!
The song started out so promising and then that chorus came....and went nowhere. I hate when she just repeats the title over and over. Lazy.

I like her but I don't know her music really outside of 1989.
I watched the doc.
She should find something that makes her happy away from music. She needs a break.
I did appreciate seeing how the music comes to life.
The unmitigated gall of that man to place his hand on her buttocks and then sue. Absolutely disgusting. I hope his career took a hit.

She should find something that makes her happy away from music. She needs a break. She has had that break. I think the most important thing for her right now is to keep on putting music out and let her voice be heard. Also, this documentary might build her enough momentum and good-will for the TS8 lead single later in the year or in early 2021.

She's going to be too busy rerecording her first five albums to put out anything new this year or early next year. Expecting nothing new until at least late 2021 if not later.

I loved the documentary. It showed a side to her that I don't think a lot of the public knows. I hope that the goodwill she gets from it ony builds to all facets of her life.

My entire moral code is built on the need to be THOUGHT OF as good. VERY telling. Also, I think it's interesting to hear her admit that she lives for approval and praise. Nothing really revelatory in the least from this documentary whatsover (outside of the eating disorder), but as a piece of PR fluff, it does its job. I just feel like I have seen most of this shit before from her. I agree with the average score on Metacritic.

Being on the verge of tears because the Grammys didn’t recognize an album in the “big 3” categories after making history along with all the praise and accolades is rather sad IMO.
