guess how many top tens losses there are for #34. if you said "a lot" you'd be the opposite of right. 19 top 50s, though. only two bottom 20s, too. was top half for most of the game, but only made it into the top 30 a few times. it fell out of the top 40 late, though, so be glad it's this high.

A #100 for "Love Spreads"? Seriously?
Hoping this (or "One Love") will be their lowest performance, the Stone Roses' debut is one of my favorite albums of the 80s.

Figured this wouldn't do all that well. It's popular, but it's nowhere near the popularity of the songs coming up.
About the right spot for this, anyway.

#33 is giving us a few more top tens, although at only three it's still not terribly exciting. a good 22 top 50s, though. five bottom 20s, including a few bottom tens. this didn't spend as much time in the 20s as some of the previous songs, but this still was nearly top 20 once.

lol, when I said that "Stutter" was the better of the two Elastica songs, I thought this song would still be significantly higher than this.
Oh.

four top tens are lost with #32, including at least one by someone who hasn't lost a top ten yet. another 20 top half rankings, and another two bottom tens. this was top 25 pretty late, but the last few lists had to ruin that.

Fade Into You better be top 10
(in most years I'd think it would have a decent shot, but 1994 is a landmark year for Alt radio...)

This was solid...but even "solid" only gets you so far in this rankdown.
Thankfully, the next time we see Mazzy Star, they're a little more than just "solid".

#31 only has two top ten losses this time, but we lose 20 top 50s and two bottom tens again. this spent some time in the bottom half early, but recovered to be in the high 20s in the middle, although it tapered off a bit by the end.

#30 has four top tens. none of them are very high. lots of top 20s, though. 19 top 50s and three bottom 20s. this didn't enter the top 40 for a while, but spent a lot of time in the 20s before coming back down a bit.

#29 has the most top tens revealed for a song this set, at 5. 20 top half rankings in total. this had a pretty big comeback story, this didn't even enter the top half until the middle of the game, and didn't enter the top 30 until the last few lists.

only three top tens this time for #28, but five more top 20s join them in the 21 total top half rankings. we still do have some bottom tens here, though. this was bottom half for a few lists early, but by the middle it hovered in and out of the top 30 before getting a late boost, before coming back down again.

three top tens again for #27, although none of them are top fives. 22 top 50s and four bottom 20s. this was doing well early on, but was tanked a bit near the middle and nearly fell out of the top half proper. it got back into the top 40 quickly, though, and made a late push for the top 30 with the last few lists.
