"Cheapest Motel" was released as the first single from Tracy's ninth studio album Different Things and peaked at #55 in late 2006. This received quite a bit more support than I thought it would as recordyear , .indulgecountry , and George Strait Junkie all put this inside their top 10 while it also received two top 15's and a top 20. With the early support it became a top 15 contender but ended up settling back some as it received a few rankings in the lower 30's from both gardyfan and myself. I do enjoy this song from a lyrical standpoint but there's just so many other songs by him that I seek out more often to listen to.

lol and here's the song I put a "The" in front of and messed up all the rankings Anyway, I LOVE this song. So gorgeous. Tracy Byrd slays tbh, his vocals and melodies are out of this world. Well that's what I get for not error-proofing everything before transferring the list over to my spreadsheet lol...but it was somewhat flopping funny that it had to be your list

I wanted to highlight some of the album tracks from Different Things but unfortunately none of these are available on YouTube for streaming except for a studio acoustic clip of Tracy recording the the title track so that's all I'm going to be able to post for now. And since I revealed the first twenty songs at a rather briskly pace I'm going to slow things down a bit as we continue on further into the rankdown. I'll swing back around tomorrow to get us closer to the top 15!

I never thought a “The” would throw off everything!

If you're gonna slow it down, you might as well just hand it over to Kanenrá:ke !

Going mostly good so far! Very pleased that "A Little Love" made it as far as it did, amazing song!

This weekend I'm planning on getting us into the top 15 so if any of the Byrds are feeling lucky and want to wager a dime on what songs will be leaving before that you can take the walk and make some guesses!

"4 to 1 in Atlanta" was released in May 1996 as the fourth and final single from Love Lessons and peaked at #21. This song outperformed my expectations as it received a top 5 from .indulgecountry while LBTrocks placed this inside his top 10 which made this a top 15 contender at point. While this did receive one bottom 5 ranking from recordyear it rebounded from a string of top 20 rankings where it finally settled just inside that. This is a solid up-tempo song that I probably underraked by a few spots. What sets this back for me, though, are some of the lyrics such as I'm gonna get lucky tonight and the girls are in my favor which has always made me cringe a bit. I was surprised by the amount of support this ended up receiving overall as I would've predicted it to only be a top 30 contender.

I'm going to swing back around again this afternoon to reveal the final two songs to round out the top 20 which will see quite a few top 10 loses as well as our first #1 loss. Any guesses on which two songs will miss the top 15???

I'm a little surprised "Revenge Of A Middle-Aged Woman" is still in, and I can see "Walking To Jerusalem" and My #1 going soon.

"4 To 1 Atlanta" is such a jam, it's got that wonderful quintessential 90s country sound! .indulgecountry knows what's up.

"Walking to Jerusalem" was released as the lead single to Tracy's third studio album Love Lessons and peaked at #15 in the summer of 1995. The same can't be said here as this just misses the top 15 by a couple spots but it did receive quite a bit of support as LBTrocks placed this inside his top 3 while both castleoblivion26 and recordyear lose a top 10. This actually was a top 10 contender until .indulgecountry and bboat11 hit this with a pair of rankings in the mid 30's and it wasn't able to recover from the final two lists which sent this outside the top 15. I've always thought this song was a jam and I've liked it since I first heard back during its release. I was hoping this would remain a top 15 contender but alas there's a few of you who don't find this to be quite as fun. With this out it means that the only song remaining from Love Lessons is "Heaven in My Women's Eyes".

can "Heaven In My Woman's Eyes" leave next? That is my lowest remaining song and the only one remaining I didn't care for.

I can see "Walking To Jerusalem" and my #1 going soon. You got both the previous reveal right as well as this one... 16. "Don't Love Make a Diamond Shine" Album: Big Love Released: May 17, 1997 BB Hot Country Songs Peak: #17 Total: 203 Average: 18.45 Std Dev: 10.77 (15th Highest) {Songs Remaining}Big Love Don’t Take Her She’s All I Got Drinkin’ Bone Heaven in My Woman’s Eyes Holdin’ Heaven I Wanna Feel That Way Again I’m from the Country Just Let Me Be in Love Lifestyles of the Not So Rich and Famous Love, You Ain’t Seen the Last of Me Put Your Hand in Mine Revenge of a Middle-Aged Woman Ten Rounds with Jose Cuervo The Keeper of the Stars Watermelon Crawl

"Don't Love Make a Diamond Shine" was released as the third and final single to Tracy's fourth studio album Big Love. Written by Mike Dekle and Craig Wiseman, it peaked at #17 in the summer of 1997 which is about the same point it leaves the rankdown. Unfortunately Kanenrá:ke is our first participant to lose their #1 ranking while both kw9461 and gardyfan lose a top 10. Based on my ranking alone this ended up far exceeding my expectations and I would've pegged it to be a top 25 contender only but it garnered more support than I thought. This was a top 15 contender for a time and even flirted with the top 10 but Cody Wants Out...'s bottom 10 ranking ended up sending this back having to settle within the top 20.

I feel like this is where it all falls apart for me, LOL. I could see having no top 5 left in the next few reveals.
