It all comes down to Tracy's first number one song vs. one of his most recognized hits from the 90's...what's it going to be??? I'll make the final reveal later this evening!

"Holdin' Heaven" is my guess for the winner, but I prefer "Watermelon Crawl" (even though it's a tad overplayed...). Both are great songs though.

Let's wrap this up! As I had hinted at earlier the top 3 was completely altered with the final list as "I'm from the Country" had all but looked like it was going to win and the song that ended up winning didn't even slide into that position until the very end. So without further ado...

While I've hosted a couple other rankdowns this is my first artist to have showcased so I'll admit to feeling a bit rusty at the beginning, but hopefully I ended up catching my stride as we went into the top 20 and onward. I'd like to thank everyone who participated and followed along this past month as it's always a lot of fun to revisit an artist that many of us grew up with on country radio. I'll be shakin' things up a bit for the next artist and I think many of you will be jumping out of your shoes for it so expect to see that one launch very soon! For now, though, don't forget about the Country Girls of the 2000's Rankdown that is due in less than a month! Thanks again y'all!!!

The perfect top 2 for this. Very happy to see Watermelon Crawl win, it's the song I always associate most with Tracy, so it's a fitting winner. Great job hosting tim, really enjoyed this one.

Drinkin' Bone is a little too novelty for me. Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo and Watermelon Crawl are good drinking songs that have the humor more in my lane. The counting in the former is quite funny, but the delivery of the latter is more groovy. Thanks tim for hosting!

Meh, it is extremely disappointing to see "I'm From The Country" seeming like the surefire winner, only to be robbed at the last second by a much more overplayed and overrated song. That has always been one of my favorite Tracy songs, and seems to embody a lot of the spunky attitude of his best songs without being quite as overplayed.
That being said, "Watermelon Crawl" is a fantastic song, that definitely feels like a fitting song to represent Tracy's entire career. Me being sick of it certainly doesn't lessen the fact that it is one of his most impactful hits!
I am surprised to see "Holdin' Heaven" get so much love. That song is great and all, but I don't see why it is a standout from the rest of his career. To me it is catchy, but more like bottom-of-the-top-10 catchy, similar to something like "Big Love".
"Drinkin' Bone" is definitely a novelty song, but it is so iconic! I'm a tad surprised to see it do so well here, but I am thrilled! I'm not totally sure why, but I think I was expecting some of the hate for "The Truth About Men" to spill over onto it.
"Ten Rounds With Jose Cuervo" is another iconic jam, but went out in the correct place. This is such a classic and perfect drinking song.

Well that top 5 didn't go my way at all lol It went out more or less exactly backwards to my rankings Glad "Watermelon" took it over "Heaven" though! Thanks for hosting tim!
