"No Ordinary Man" is the title track to Tracy's second studio album released in 1994 and was written by Tracy, Frank Dycus ad Lonnie Williams. This flirted with the top 15 at one point as it was bolstered by Kanenrá:ke 's top 10 ranking and LBTrocks top 5 placement but ended up sliding back some before it settled just outside of the top 25. This is another album track that I've always enjoyed but was uncertain how it would do here. Much to my surprise it ended up being the third highest placing album track! And with that "A Little Love" and "That's What Keeps Her Getting By" are the last two remaining album tracks...which one will place higher and will either one make it into the top 20? Stay tuned to find out!

"When Mama Ain't Happy" is catchy as hell! It never stood a chance of making my top 10, but I do really love it.
"No Ordinary Man" is just flat out gorgeous. Should have made it way higher than this.

"How Much Does the World Weigh" was among my favorite discoveries from this rankdown. Let's dive into the top 30 shall we! Coming up we'll say goodbye to three more album tracks as well as Tracy's last official single from 2007. @ you just throwing this out there without caring.

I meant to do some reveals yesterday but got wrapped up in the Austin Pride parade so I'm going to continue on with the next five songs to get us by and into the top 20. Kicking things off for the top 25 we'll see three top 15's eliminated along with three bottom 5's.

"That's What Keeps Her Getting By" is an album track selected from Tracy's eighth studio album The Truth About Men and is written by Danny Wells, Bobby Huff, and Shane Minor who was just recently featured in the 1999 YE rankdown. This received three top 15's from myself, Kanenrá:ke , and .indulgecountry while at the other end we have George Strait Junkie and gardyfan who lose a bottom 5 while Cody Wants Out... somehow managed to find it in his heart to place this dead last. This has long been a favorite of mine as I was raised my a single mom who did all that she could and then some to support her two boys after my father passed unexpectedly and I remember specifically buying the album just so my mom could hear this song. I didn't think this was going to end up in the top 25 but thanks to kw9461 's list at the last minute this managed to sneak in by only one point.

The Keith Stegall-penned "Tiny Town" was initially recorded and included on Tracy's The Truth About Men album. Tracy then switched to BNA Records in which they released his second Greatest Hits compilation and this song was selected as the second single from that package. The single failed to chart, however, and Tracy never did release a full studio album for the label. The losses are starting to add up as .indulgecountry loses a top 5 and kw9461 loses a top 10 while castleoblivion26 says goodbye to a top 15. Cody Wants Out... loses yet another bottom 5.

Up next is a song that was most recently featured in another artist rankdown but failed to make it into the top 30. It performed a bit better here and managed to get three top 10's but also a pair of bottom 5's.

The Mark Chesnutt duet "A Good Way to Get on My Bad Side" was released as the lead single to Ten Rounds where it peaked at #21 in 2001. This was the 5th most polarizing song of the rankdown as it received one top 5 from gardyfan as well as two top 10's from George Strait Junkie and LBTrocks while it also received a bottom 5 from Kanenrá:ke and a last place ranking from kw9461 . This was almost a top 10 contender early on in the rankdown but it ended up having a steady and consistent backwards trend as more lists came in.

The next two songs to miss the top 20 are both tied in points and much like the tie we had prior to jumping into the top 30 one ended up being more polarizing than the other. In fact the song leaving first had the 7th highest standard deviation while the song to just miss out on the top 20 had the 7th lowest standard deviation.

"A Little Love" is an album track written by Pat Terry and Tia Sillers and featured from Tracy's sixth studio album It's About Time which was his first release on RCA Nashville. I had no idea what to expect when I selected this song to be featured and it ended going on to become the highest placing album track of the rankdown, albeit a polarizing one at that. This was an early top 10 contender thanks to Kanenrá:ke 's top 5 placement and George Strait Junkie putting this in his top 15 but three of y’all weren’t feeling the love and put this in your bottom 5. It ended up rebounding, though, with .indulgecountry 's top 20 and two top 10's from bboat11 and Cody Wants Out... .

Before I reveal the song to miss the top 20 let's do an album recap as "When Mama Ain't Happy" left just inside the top 30 and was the only single to be released from Tracy's first Greatest Hits compilation.

Just missing the top 20 is also a song that was omitted from Tracy's Greatest Hits album even though it was a top 5 hit for him...

“The First Step” is the title track to Tracy’s second album and released as the third single where it became his fourth top 5 hit in early 1995. As mentioned beforehand this was tied with the previous song and ended up coming out ahead thanks in part to it being the 7th lowest polarizing song and not receiving any bottom 5 rankings. Both kw9461 and gardyfan lose a top 15 while a handful of others lose a top 20. I don’t revisit this song much but I do find it be a rather fun ditty and is of course a great two-stepping song. This won’t be the last time you hear this song as it’s set to be covered again in a future YE rankdown for 1995.

I am very pleasantly surprised by how long "A Little Love" lasted, and by the fact that it was the highest album track! That chorus melody is so powerful, and really allows Tracy to turn in a fantastic and unique vocal performance. Not to mention that the lyrics are perfect from beginning to end. For some reason, "She's overdressed for the occasion" hits my ear harder than any opening lyric I have heard for a really long time... Lol

As we jump into the top 20 only two albums remain with their songs fully intact (Love Lessons and I'm From the Country) and one of them is about to see their first loss. Which one will it be??? Also coming up we'll see another one of Tracy's albums exit the rankdown.

"Love Lessons" was released as the second single and title track from Tracy's third studio album. Written by Jerry Kilgore, Monty Powell, and Ted Hewitt, the song was released in August 1995 and peaked at #9 becoming his sixth Top 10 hit. This was the sixth most polarizing song of the rankdown and with it we see two top 5's exit from gardyfan and recordyear while I lose a top 10. At the other end we have .indulgecountry joining bboat11 in being the only two to place this in their bottom 5. This did receive enough support along the way to be a potential top 15 contender but slid back from some lower rankings. Just when it looked like this was going to have to settle outside of the top 20 kw9461 's list brought this one back in.
