I can’t believe everyone is ignoring the REAL #1 contender that is Bon Appetit by Katy Perry. Smash After the spam in youtube, they should spam spotify and the radio stations which in 2017 refused to play the song OK no but I don't understand what's happening with this song. I actually listened to “me!” on Spotify today and then just left autoplay on.... “Bon appetit” was one of the next few songs played lol |

I don't personally care for the new Taylor Swift song. She turns 30 this December and she's still making teen bubblegum pop songs. I wonder if she'll ever write or make more mature songs. What's funny is that she had a lot more mature songs/lyrics on her first four albums than she does on her latest two albums. Feels like she's trying desperately to hold on to her teenage fanbase, but whatever. Just makes me wonder how long she thinks she can keep making these kinds of songs. We'll probably get the album and realise that she could have chosen a much better lead single than this song.
The song should make a huge splash the first week, but this has Look What You Make Me Do written all over it. I feel like it'll take a deep nosedive after it's first week and might even start to dip in performance before the tracking week is over. It'll obviously get a huge push and support on radio, but I doubt that'll be enough to make it last as a huge hit for her.
Interestingly enough, I liked the video. Dave Meyers did a great job.

Didn’t Airplanes back in the day say ft. Hayley Williams of Paramore. I thought it did! And I checked it today precisely because of "Me!" but if she did have that credit, it's not there anymore. Nah Hayley still has that credit on the YouTube video at least. It got changed everywhere else though, notably on Spotify. She also used to have that credit on Stay The Night with Zedd. |

ME! and Bon Appetit most watched videos rn. Lol I'm thinking it's GOT to be some plot by the Katycats to sabatoge Taylor, it's timed too closely to not be. Not sure exactly how this would hurt her, maybe just taking some of the attention away or possibly steal some streams, and why this song exactly? It is one of her more recent singles from her last album, but why not choose the current single she's featured on, Con Calma with Daddy Yankee? |
