I wonder how much Never Really Over is gonna drop next week 20-25 spots maybe I want to say it will def be top 40 still yes, but I feel like it might end up staying near the 23-30 region too because it really hasn't crashed on Spotify or AM, surprisingly so for the latter platform.

I wonder how much Never Really Over is gonna drop next week Not harder than press, thatโs for sure. Ok? Like why are people comparing two completely different song's performances? Just because they were released the same week? Silly. They couldn't be more different in composition or target demographic, so it isn't surprising their trajectories and subsequent metrics are going to differ vastly. Cardi's urban banger is gonna do just fine where it is meant to. As for Katy, she has a hell of a lot more to prove with her release coming off Witness IMO. For all the fanfare, it still isn't a home run hit yet (though, personally, I hope it is a hit for her).

I think Katy will be Top 30. Never Really Over has stabilized on streaming and sales and its' radio continues to rise at a healthy pace. And with more Spotify/Youtube videos on the way, I'm pretty sure Katy has a hit on her hands that will last all summer.

I'm like 90% sure Taylor's second single is coming on Friday along with the album pre-order. I think there's potentially a collaboration with Katy based on Katy's IG last night, eating cookies at Taylor's NYC apartment, captioning the complete opposite of Bad Blood and Taylor commenting 13 hearts. It's too much of a coincidence to not mean anything right? you think its gonna do what Me couldn't and defeat OTR? would be pretty frustrating if 1st and 2nd singles were both blocked from #1 by the same song

Hopefully it will get better callouts than Me! did.

I think No Guidance sneaks into the top 10 by the end of the tracking week.

Holy shit, Khalid and Billie both peaking at #2! Ugh, I'm so proud and also mad. Proud to see the two succeed so much after discovering them so early in their careers, but mad that they won't peak at #1 because of the damn juggernaut at the top.

Proud to see the two succeed so much after discovering them so early in their careers, but mad that they won't peak at #1 because of the damn juggernaut at the top. There's always at least one song/artist that spends a seemingly unfair amount of time at the top of the charts each year. It seems that in 2019, that person is Lil Nas X.

30 Hey Look Ma, I Made It 130 (+9) yay At first I thought "King Of The Clouds" would make a better single than "Hey Look Ma, I Made It", but then I realized that "King Of The Clouds" would do better on alternative, so I guess "Hey Look Ma, I Made It" is the right choice.

And yeah, "King of the Clouds" is more alternative-ish, but hey i still wonder if they are waiting for HH get out of TOP 10 to fully embrace the song on the format. Hopefully they will release a 4th single ? Sirius has been testing "Dancing's Not A Crime" for a while now..

I'm going to be so happy when the day comes that we can just firmly say that 1-800-382-5633 isn't khalid's highest charting song.

It's kinda strange when I see that "Hey Look Ma, I Made It" it's performing way better on Pop than Alt. I get that the song is more poppier but think I'm just used to see songs being big hits on Alt and then crossing-over to Pop.

Am I the only one who doesn't see Talk going over Bad Guy, at least for this week? Yes it's higher on radio, but Billie is higher on streaming platforms and is rising rapidly on radio. Both deserve #1 over OTR at this point, Talk is the best Khalid song I think. He actually shows some emotion in it for a change!

I think they are much more reluctant playing songs that are doing much better at pop formats.

The latter feels like a kinda filler song when it comes to the quality standards from Free Spirit. The former is really his best song but thatโs just imo

^Talk is probably Khalid's most generic song which is probably the reason why it has been the most successful.

I was expecting stuff from Khalid like Better or Eastside to be his breakout hit (1-800 is currently his biggest hit, albeit featured), but Talk is not a bad choice to be a breakout hit.
