"Stronger" was never a hit, but has pretty much gone on to be a fan favorite from the Cry album. It is also a studio version that Faith has kinda come to regret through the years, because very shortly after the Cry album came out, she figured out how to make this song even more EPIC in a live setting! She included a recording of said epic live performance on her 2007 Greatest Hits collection, just because she could! And I am so glad that she did, because imo she absolutely must have sold her soul for this performance... She sounds so flipping incredible!!!! This live version is over 6 minutes long, and I honestly regret not a single second of it. She has always been a bit of an inconsistent live vocalist, but this is her at her absolute best, as well as at her vocal prime! The only bad thing about this song is that now I can barely listen to the studio version, because this live version is so much better....

Oh, I forgot to mention that when I saw her on the Soul II Soul tour a couple of years ago, she sang this song!!! I was shook, because I figured being like 15 years older than she was when she made this recording, she wouldn't be able to sing it the same anymore. But she still absolutely nailed it

"American Heart" was one of Faith's random comeback attempts in 2012. Flopping off the charts right on the heels of "Come Home" flopping, they ended up scrapping her plans for a new album, and now here we sit STILL not having a new solo album from her... Imo this song was not a very smart comeback song. The melody bores me, the lyrics bore me, and by the 2010s people were low-key sick of America songs. I will say, the song becomes much stronger after that random key change in the middle though!!! This song was pretty consistent, pretty much hanging out in the back half of the top 10 for the majority of the submissions.

"Come Home" came out in 2011, as Faith's first attempt at a comeback after disappearing off the face of the earth for several years. Fireflies was her last album, from 2005, and fans were STOKED for her return!!
Ultimately I remember "Come Home" being received as a bit of a let down. Which is tragic, because imo she does an incredible job with this song. I love her voice on this song. Ultimately it was probably not a good idea to attempt to come back with a cover song, which torpedoed almost all of her hype. Still, wish she had put the album out anyway... :(
"Come Home" was actually a fairly consistent top 5 contender (right at #5) for most of the submission process, but ultimately fell out of the top 5 thanks to most of its ranks falling in the back half of the top 10 (most of the songs that are left have LOTS of high ranks!)

I love "Come Home" and "American Heart" both... Really wish we'd got a whole album built around that sound. Of course, I had a lot more fondness for a patriotic anthem like AH back then...
"Red Umbrella" is amazing!

"Red Umbrella" was the lead single from Faith's 2007 Greatest Hits compilation. This song and "Lost" were both new songs on the album, and both ended up being released a singles.
Overall this has never been one of Faith's well-liked singles... It feels like on Pulse especially, it always gets shat on a lot. Although most of that might have been Ten Pound Hammer's notorious lack of lyrical comprehension skills 😂
Personally I have always really liked this one though! It is very catchy to me. And I actually like a lot of the imagery in the lyrics.

"It's Your Love" proved to be pretty polarizing here, for a variety of reasons. First of all, it is not really a Faith Hill song, and it's not really a duet either, even though it is kinda remembered as a duet. I know some people might have ranked it lower because of Faith's rather small contributions to the song. Also, it is one of those hits that has been exceptionally overplayed and overrated through the years! It is one of those songs that I had a lot of trouble ranking because I am honestly quite sick of it, even though I enjoy it.
Its performance here was actually quite consistent though, despite how polarizing it was. It was a constant top 5 contender, just gradually falling further backwards through the top 5 for the whole submission process.

By the way, if you are interested in ranking "It's Your Love" again, ClevelandRox just started hosting the Tim McGraw album series, starting with the Everywhere album!! Can it do better than #5 on an album as stacked as that one?! We'll see!!!

"Little Bits Of Lightning" finished at 12 out of 40 in Martina's Extras Rankdown, which is the 30th percentile. (12/40 = .3) "When You Cry" finished at 15 out of 20 here in Faith's Extras Rankdown, which is the 75th percentile. (15/20 = .75) What are you confused by bb?? the math of it all "Why" is by far the most poignant suicide song I have ever heard. I believe I mentioned in the Rascal Flatts rankdown that this song is just FULL of metaphors that fill me with emotion, especially the comparisons to suicide being like walking away in the middle of a music performance. Throw in a tender and nuanced vocal performance from Faith, and I become a blubbering mess. Rascal Flatts' version is great too, but I LOOOVE Faith's take on this even more. She makes the song build in a more organic and believable way. Probably because the song was supposed to be for the fantastically-produced Fireflies album, compared to RF's typical overproduced bombastic albums. This song was all over the damn top 10, but was pretty much always a part of the top 10. In the end it finished in a tie with "Keep Your Eyes On Me", but won the tie thanks to taylor is terrified 's #1 rank good, I'm glad it won the tie. Not to get deep or personal but it hits home as I've actually contemplated it before...when Faith sings it I picture a mother singing to her child...wondering if she did something wrong or if she could've done something more to help :'( also really love the duet...poignant for the times we're in right now. I saw her on the Soul II Soul tour a couple of years ago Here's our top 5!!!!!
I Need You It’s Your Love Lost Sleeping With The Telephone There You’ll Be girl hold up a minute before you post them!!!! i wanna predict!! 1. There You'll Be 2. the Reba duet 3. I Need You 4. Lost 5. It's Your Love since I already know

"Lost" bows out at #4, the final new song from Faith's 2007 Hits compilation. Imo, this is one of her most underrated singles. It was the definition of a flop on the charts... However, Pulse seems to hold it in high regard! It had the most upward mobility of any other song in this rankdown, thanks to someguy's lowest rank of #13 coming in right at the beginning, and then everyone else's higher ranks helping it to continually climb and never fall. Honestly, if we had gotten another list or two, I would not have been surprised to see it make an attempt at #3!

The last couple days I have kept trying to wait until people are actually around, but people seem to be pretty busy and are just popping in sporadically rather than a big group being online at once. So I kinda just figured I would do this anyway and people could catch up when they can :)

Our final Tim McGraw duet bows out at #3 with "I Need You". This time it is someguy who loses his #1. This song started out as a #1 contender early on thanks to him, but other than a brief blip in the middle of submissions, this song was our #3 for almost the entire submission process! This is a very good song, but tbh I am a bit surprised with how well it did here. Just like all of their other duet hits, this song was SOOOOO hella overplayed that I will probably never be able to fully appreciate the song again. More than half the participants put it in their top 5 though, which is more than any other song we've seen so far!

In the epic face-off between SWTT and TYB, we see TYB finally snag itself a rankdown win for the first time!!! And if you look at the trajectory, it paints a picture of this song sailing easily to victory. That picture is not quite complete, however. Reba put up a HELL of a fight here!! "Telephone" was always only a point or two behind TYB. It was even tied one list ago, thanks to ClevelandRox trying to tank both of them but tanking TYB just a little bit more TYB would have won the tie because it has #1 ranks and SWTT doesn't. Cody Wants Out... snuck in at the last minute with perfect rankings for the top 2, thereby giving TYB the victory by 1 point. Thank you to all who participated and followed along! We are almost done with Faith's album series!!! Stay tuned for the album track rankdown next!

Also, Reba/Faith's "Sleeping With The Telephone" is currently part of my next active rankdown too! Reba's album tracks rankdown! Will it win that one? Will it get stuck at #2 twice in a row? Will it get tanked out of the way in favor of other songs because she has so many A+ songs? Get your votes in so we can find out!!

"There You'll Be" is a song that has grown on me over time. I was surprised to see I ranked it quite a bit lower when doing her singles RD than I imagine I would if I did it now. Great winner!
I'm also really glad that "I Need You" was the highest Timmy duet because it is by far the best one! "It's Your Love" made it higher than it deserved here, but I do love it.
