Lead single from Dua Lipa's sophomore album Future Nostalgia due out next year called "Don't Start Now". The track, which was available on all platforms on November 1 at midnight CET, goes for adds immediately after its release.

The star said the album would be a "nostalgic" pop record. She couldn't say when it would be released - although she's previously said it was scheduled for the end of the year.

However, the star hinted the first single could arrive sooner than that.

Asked what she thought this year's "song of the summer" would be, she said: "I don't know if it's something coming from me or someone else..."

Based on the information above, I'm inclined to expect an August release (probably late August/early September at the latest) at this point. I would be surprised if this drops this month to be honest, although I'm not ruling out this option too.

I have yet to hear a Dua Lipa record I don't like. I'm kinda scared, I don't want no sophomore slump... but I'm confident that she can go bigger and better with this (and the album).

I don't think Dua was the one who scrapped the track. It was previously mentioned in the July 2018 issue on Ariana's Vogue UK interview that the track, which was untitled at the time and it ended to be called "Bad To You", was meant for Sweetener instead of her sophomore album, despite there were some information that it could be in the latter though.

I find strange that the release date was revealed like that without any announcement, but at least there's an official confirmation that this is indeed coming in three weeks. That said, I expect she will properly announce this in the following days and reveals the title too. As a side note, I'm excited about the description given, which seems that it's about the song and the album.

Welp! The article was edited and it says 'soon' now.

Either way, she has cleared out her social media and all of her tweets and Instagram posts are gone. I hate this trend, but I'm not going to deny that I'm excited and the announcement should be revealed sooner than later. Yay!
