OMG this has already grown on me SO much in the last 9 hours or so. This is everything I love about her and need from her. Aren't you the guy who tried to hurt me with the word "goodbye"? is my favorite line. Oh, and we absolutely need another banger 80s remix from Initial Talk following "New Rules" and "IDGAF". He's going to slay this 100%. |

Seriously, this is amazing and it's one of her best songs to date. The build-ups and that final chorus are so damn great as well. I applaud her for not following trends and chasing them instead because I wouldn't have expected her to be the one of the female pop solo acts to bring disco back in the late 10s. It's a risk in the US, of course, but I hope it will pay her off. However, I expect this to be massive in Europe, especially the UK, and Oceania, so I'm glad that she didn't need to change her vision to fit the current sound in the states.

Would have token a cute video with her in the green bodysuit since it had a more retro feeling and they just recorded it in the same style used in the 80s or so, would have been at least a more interesting video.
Only thing I really liked about the video we got is that she looks great
It's pretty underwhelming especially since her videos since New Rules have all been pretty cool
-New Rules was amazing
-IDGAF was a pretty cool video
-One Kiss's video just had this colorful fun charm that I just loved
-Electricity she gave us choreo for once that wasn't tacky
-Swan Song was alright but at least looked like it had a budget

I love the verses and the pre-chorus but the chorus could be left in 2013 where it belongs. I'd enjoy it more if the final chorus had ad libs of the first 2 lines of each verse and one final 'if you don't wanna see me...' with the full-fledged production. A C+ for me.
