As far as I’m concerned Billy Ray offered his services not the other way around.
Diplo is uhhh...Diplo.
And the most recent remix was a creative decision made by the songs producer who felt Young Thug would be a good fit for the song, not sure why Mason was added. I mean I get his background but...yeah.

Don’t get why there’s hate in anyway shape or form towards the main artist involved with the song and/or towards the song itself.

I don't begrudge him trying to ride the "OTR" train as long as he can seeing as it could be his only big hit, but you should also be able to understand why there would be 'hate' towards someone being so shameless in trying to maintain a hit. Anyone who does this stuff gets criticism (see Taylor Swift and all of the tricks to help "Me!").

I think it’s pretty unfair to compare someone who’s completely new to the industry vs an established artist who’s been in the business for over a decade.
It’s the dudes debut single, I’m pretty sure the song blowing up the way that it did was the last thing he thought was going to happen. why not try to keep the momentum going as long as he can.

On another note; I thought ME! was just a song that got blocked from the top and just flopped down the chart.

How are the OTR featured artist remixes and release significantly different than, say Perfect?

Perfect was released to radio in Sept 17, Duet, which was recorded in May, was held until Dec 1, which ended up pushing it to #1. Two weeks later (Dec 15), Symphony was released.

If people are consuming/buying those versions, then mission accomplished. Isn’t that really the point of ranking the most popular songs?

The difference here is that all of the remixes came about after the song was already #1. You could overlook the BRC mix because that was likely already in the pipeline before getting to #1, but everything since has been completely unnecessary. If the only way to maintain the spot was to keep up the blatantly manipulative tactics (which anyone else would - and has been - dragged to hell and back for) then maybe just maybe this is not a song that should've gotten anywhere near a record-breaker.
