Shawn and Camila seem to be on a fake romance. Hope it helps them get to #1.

Congrats to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus on breaking the record! Hopefully this tops out at 18 weeks because I want an even number and I’m ready for OTR to start falling now that the record is broken.

How long has Shawn Mendes been hovering between 10-15?? How do you see his chart run for “If I Can’t Have You” After it tumbled down 2-13 in its second week, it's been pretty stable in that region and neared top ten on a couple occasions. If "Senorita" was not a thing, I bet it would have been back in the top ten by now. Called it (kind of) lol

old town road breaking the record for the longest ever #1 is obviously impressive. i cannot deny that, despite not really caring for the song itself. i’m just ready for something new.
i’m also wondering how much longer OTR will chart since it keeps freefalling on radio. but if i had to guess myself, it’ll probably get to 52 weeks because of how undeniably massive it has been.

Ok, now Lizzo can advance to #1 and spend the rest of the summer there until Rihanna or Gaga drops something new.

Lol There’s always at least one person here any time she has a record broken or is blocked from a #1 album or whatever complaining about her fans having “meltdowns” or some variation thereof.. and most times there’s no meltdown to be seen.

Congrats to Lil Nas X and Billy Ray! It's funny, even though we've known this was pretty much in the bag for at least the last couple weeks, and that I personally don't get the whole craze behind the song, I'm still genuinely excited and happy because it's fun to see this monumental record being broken!
I know I"m getting WAY ahead of myself and please don't give me cr*p for this, but this suddenly has me very excited to think what the next record breaker will be, what type of song and what artist, etc.

You Need To Calm Down stuck at #15 at least it I’d holding stable on the charts this week. Old Town Road breaking the record with yet another remix, don’t care for the song much but it is an achievement.

I don’t think the BTS remix was responsible for it holding on this week ^

I wonder if someone (Lil Nas X) can finally take BTS's #1 on the Social 50. I doubt it though.

Radio could definitely be cut down a little bit but I think what I'm most mad at is how paid and free streams are separated. Still don't see how my YouTube stream counts less than my Spotify stream but whatever It makes sense to me. Almost anyone could stream a song on YouTube. Only people who actually like the song would be willing to pay to do so. So it would make that Billboard would give paid streams a little bit more weight.

If you basing this off Twitter then every fanbase and everyone is mad at anything on that platform. Twitter fights you if you say the sky is blue. Lambs only come when sent for. While this song is the definition of novelty and not for me personally. I actually appreciate that its the most creative, important and original novelty song. Its pushing boundaries socially because of the artist and its pushing genre stereotypes. We love that! This song is what drag queen culture represents so this is huge! This is the energy this whole thing has. A legend passing the torch to the new way of doing things. I'm happy its Lil Nas and not some douche like Justin B

So when my dad plays songs on youtube, since hes not really paying he doesnt actually like the songs?

Yay at the record being broken. I think OTR probably have enough juice to stay for another three weeks and become a 20 week number-one. Shame bad guy couldn't dethrone for at least one week so billie can be the first chart topper to be born in the 21st century.

It would appear the original of "Old Town Road" has been removed from Spotify, and replaced with the RM remix. So if the original is say, in a playlist, it plays the remix instead.
