*The next set of Extras contains songs I would include in my top half of the year end Rd, and it includes the song I would have put at #2 on my Active list for 1992, and its from an artist I'm charting right now. Heart of Soul - The CultThey can say what they want, but For me The Cult was borderline Hair Metal. Same fast ass basslines in most of their songs., Powerful vocals and killer riffs. That was what Hair Metal was to me. The only thing that put them in a different category would be the lyrics, but even this song has some Powerballad riffs. You can't tell me this couldn't be a Bon Jovi jam. Listen to that solo. Anyway it goes without saying that I love this song. Bad Luck - Social DistortionPost Punk jams work just as easily for me. This would have been a netter song to rank than some of that "dead" rock. Countdown - Lindsey BuckinghamThis isn't too terrible. Sounds a lot like the Traveling Wilburys. That's not a bad thing. I liked that band. Machine Gun - Warrant(three repeat plays later)Damn! What a rush. I can't wait to rank Warrant. I don't care what anyone else does they are going straight at the top of my lists. If "Uncle Tom's Cabin" make the cut it will most likely be my #1 song and that's that. "Machine Gun" was off one of Warrant's strongest albums "Dog Eat Dog", and one of their fiercest songs. The talent here was off the charts. Jani Lane was a vocal rock god. I'm so pissed at him for drinking himself to death, but f u c k it at least he me with jams that will take I will listen to until my dying day. "Machine Gun" would have been my #2 song on this RD just below the ultimate Rock gods on this list. You've Been So Good Up to Now - Lyle LovettLyle feels like a hit of weed after that last cocaine shot, but this isn't half bad either. Maybe I'm still on a rock high, but this sounded pretty tight too. The Show Must Go On - QueenQueen trying to recapture that "Bohemian Rhapsody" epicness, and I think they did a pretty good job too with this one. However this one flopped chart wise. Funny enough they actually released "Bohemian Rhapsody" and it became an even bigger top 10 hit the second time. Nonstop to Nowhere - Faster PussycatMore awesome Glam Metal. These guys rode the same train as Pretty Boy Floyd, L.A. Guns, Euff Z' Nuff, and Poison. Only the best of the Hollywood Strip glam scene. This song was cool. Mostly for Taime Downe's vocals. Their biggest hit was "House Of Pain", but the one I loved was their cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain". It seemed the perfect song for the big ego glam bands of the 80's. Stranger in This Town - Richie SamboraEven Richie Sambora released a solo album. Truthfully I wasn't too into his solo material. It sounded more Heartland rock than Glam. I also wasn't too keen on his vocals. Listen to this song closely and you will pick up some piano melos that George Michael's "One More Try" had. That is the reason I liked this song. Takin' Me Down - HardlineYes they are still making music but aside from Gioeli they are all different members. The good thing is that they are on my favorite 80's rebirth label Frontiers. This song was hot. Not quite as hot as "Hot Sherrie" but so powerful in the vocal department and this has a lot groove. Like Ratt jams did. You can only guess how high I ranked them on this RD if Id put this one at around my 20-30 range. Mr. Tinkertrain - Ozzy OsbourneThis one right here would have been my highest ranking Ozzy song, and I put them all pretty high. This was like his ode to his own Metal classic "Crazy Train". I love this one cuz it also has a bit of AC/DC in the riffs. That is a strong solo there. It really feels like you are going off the rails. I Stand Alone - JackylSome southern Groove metal from Jackyl never feels out of place. The AC/DC vibe of this song is off the charts. From vocals to riffs. The chorus is raise your horns in the air worthy, but i feel should have been stronger. BTW, they should have blown up the F U C K ing K-Mart. I gotta thank our host because, these could possibly be my favorite set of Extras since we started doing these RDs. Even more that the one were all those Hinder jams appear.

I don't think it would surprise anyone for me to say that "The Show Must Go On" would have been my #1.

Outshined would have rated high for me, like maybe top 5. Smells like Nirvana is one of Weird Al's better singles and would probably make my top 30-40.
I remember Ringo less for his post-Beatles career and more for a hosting gig on SNL where they spoofed bad Hercules movies: bend at the legs, not the back Herc!
Here are some quick SURVEY questions:
-What songs do you think will contend for a spot in the top ten?
Likely some of those that did well in the Alternatives like Jeremy, Hunger Strike, and Come as You Are along with newcomers Smells Like Teen Spirit, Evenflow, and November Rain
What about the bottom ten? Both Bryan Adams songs, 1-2 from Damn Yankees, Help Me Up, Gun Love and at least one from John Cougar Meh-encamp.
-Which songs will have the highest SD? I Love You Period, Where You Going Now, Let's Get Rocked, Keep the Faith, Anybody Listening?
What about lowest SD? Smells Like Teen Spirit, The Unforgiven, Don't Tread on Me, Help Me Up
-Which Alt repeat will do the best? How about the worst? Best: Come as You Are (less chance of getting tanked than Jeremy) Worst: Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
-Which of your bottom 10 will hang around the longest? My #94 will probably be there until around the top 50.
-Which of your top 10 will be eliminated first? #4 better make it further than barely the top half this time.
-How far do you think your #1 will go? Top 5 at worst.
In the following groups, which song do you think will perform best?: Arc Angels: "Living in a Dream" or "Sent by Angels" Bruce Springsteen: "57 Channels", "Human Touch", or "Roll of the Dice" Would like for it to be Channels, but Touch will prevail. Dire Straits: "Heavy Fuel" or "The Bug" I don't think either Straits song will do well. Eric Clapton: "Help Me Up", "Layla", or "Tears in Heaven" Tears in Heaven will win this one over Layla. John Mellencamp: "Again Tonight", "Last Chance", "Love and Happiness", or "Now More Than Ever" A spitball...none of these will do particularly well. Metallica: "Nothing Else Matters", "The Unforgiven", or "Wherever I May Roam" Metallica might have one, maybe two songs in the top 15. Ozzy Osbourne: "Mama, I'm Coming Home", "Road to Nowhere", or "Time after Time" Pearl Jam: "Alive", "Even Flow", or "Jeremy" Queensrÿche: "Another Rainy Night" or "Anybody Listening?" I'll be surprised if one of these makes top half. Rush: "Bravado", "Ghost of a Chance", or "Roll the Bones" None of these will do well. Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble: "Empty Arms" or "The Sky Is Crying" U2: "Even Better Than the Real Thing", "Mysterious Ways", "One", "Until the End of the World", or "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" Hoping for Ways, but One should take this.

My #1 will definitely make top 25 at least--we'll see about if top 15 or 10 is in the cards My first top 10 loss will be my 4, because I don't think the band behind it will ever get their due here. My #97 will take a long time to come out.

Let the reveals begin!!! Just a quick note about the movements. Although singingrulebritannia and Butterflies & Hurricanes both had their lists finished before I did, I still decided to pull my list out front and put it as the original list in the movements so that everyone gets to see how their ranking affected each song's placement.

I’d say this is the worst song we’ve ranked in a rock chart list in...quite a while, honestly.
Let me just use this post to note that I’m stunned the MAGA anthem isn’t even bottom 5, thought that would almost definitely be #100.
