We should see a pretty good onslaught of Drake this week. Is it enough for him to take the all-time entry crown from Glee? Hopefully, so. Gold Roses by Rick Ross featuring Drake should debut tomorrow, bringing his total number of entries to 197. All he needs is 11 new entries to break Glee's record. I think he should be able to manage that. Also, does Baby Yoda Hot100Fan or anyone else have the radio updates for today? Kworb is acting all crazy.

I’m glad the record will be held by someone whose total Hot 100 chart points are at least kinda proportional to his raw number of entries. That said, I wonder who has the most Hot 100 entries if you start filtering by different “time on chart” thresholds?

Huh? you mean like spending a week on the chart in 2019 is like spending 2 weeks on the chart in 1980? That type of thing?

Another thing to check on is how high the london will go. It would've been top 20 by this week anyways, but the video will help that. Is something like 11-15 possible?

Especially if you wanna go back a couple of decades. A better list would be "songs that have spent at least 20/30/40/50 weeks charting on the Hot 100."

spicymapping thanks, you're a godsend. Talk is a monster radio smash. I'm shocked it's still getting such massive daily gains. Truth Hurts and Señorita are also monster smashes and Señorita will be overtaking Truth Hurts soon. Might happen as early as Tuesday. No Guidance is really doing well. Between it's strong and steady radio gains this week and it's gains in streams, it could find itself in the top 5 tomorrow. I'm glad Money in the Grave is finally picking up in it's gains. Radio has been it's weak component till now. It's held strong in streams since it debuted. Goodbyes is gaining rather nicely. All in all, good gains today.

Popcrave is just trolling. No one says it's a female guest either.

This will be the 19th week for OTR, right, if it makes it. Should see a sizable boost in sales tonight.

isn't Taylor releasing her new album on August 23rd?
That popstar could be Taylor promoting her 3rd single in an attempt to finally get a #1 this era.
And with OTR getting weaker and weaker she might just do it this time.

Literally nothing in that source says anything about it being a musician or a female. That silhouette has no relevance and is meant to make you think of Adele. That tweet is baiting so hard wow.

Is no one seeing Big Female Popstar?? Or am I missing something That Pop Crave account pulled that from thin air and are just baiting their followers. There’s no source that has said its a female popstar — or even if its a musician at all.

Is no one seeing Big Female Popstar?? Or am I missing something That's Pop Crave claiming that it's a big female popstar. If you look at the second image (the one with the list of celebs appearing on each show), it just says 'special guest' or 'surprise guest' for each one. Two of the shows, Tonight Show and Kimmel, already have a named musical act booked for the night. And as a rule celebrities never purposely 'double book' themselves on tv - it's common to appear on all late night shows within a few days, but it would be counterintuitive to appear on competing shows at the same time to promote one thing. It's not impossible, but IMO it is very unlikely this is a musician. A politician (or group of politicians) makes more sense for whatever this is.

No—I mean, like, “artist with most 20-week+ songs on the Hot 100” That would still be an odd list, since many of the artists who racked up tons of hits in previous decades (like the Beatles, Elvis, Aretha, Madonna, etc) did so in a time when singles rarely spent 20 weeks on the Hot 100. Part of the reason they were able to get so many hits every year is because songs, even top ten and number one hits, would run their course in 12-15 weeks then radio would be on to the next release.

Yeah like everything else it would all be weighted heavily towards the last 30 years
Quick example off the top of my head:
3 songs pre 1990 spent 40 or more weeks on the chart - that's it
I Go Crazy - Paul Davis (40) Tainted Love - Soft Cell (43) What About me - Moving Pictures (43)
Nowadays for big hits 40+ is quite common

If the goal of some week # threshold is to weed out random album cuts/tracks that weren't really "singles," I'd set the bar much lower, like 8 or even 4 weeks, which would make it fairer to "legit" singles from prior decades. Would be an interesting list. Glee Cast would have waaaay fewer songs by that metric.

I find it interesting that Old Town Road was actually released before the previous number 1, 7 Rings, even though it feels like 7 Rings is so much older.

With the Ariana track turning out to be a bit of a non-event... I think 20 weeks are likely.
Time for Billie to release another remix or something :'(

Yeah, 20 wasn’t remotely the right number for me to use as an example.
