I have my top 8(!) and my #11 and #13 left. This is a stellar top 10. No matter how it shakes out, I will love the winning song, and everything else in the top 10.
My other two top 10s ("I'm Not That Easy To Forget" and "Do You Still Want To Buy Me That Drink") were relative flops for her, and I'm very pleasantly surprised that they got as high as they did. INTETF making the top 15 was a very nice surprise - too bad radio couldn't have followed suit!

Thanks someguy for getting us to a new page...now let's reveal the first song to leave the top 10! Four participants will unfortunately see a top ten exit right out of the gate while another loses their second top ranking song.

“Back in Your Arms Again” was released as the second single from Lorrie’s Greatest Hits compilation and was a Top 5 hit in late 1995. This becomes the first song to exit the top 10 here, however, but it solidly remained a top 15 contender for its entire run. It received quite a bit of support with four participants placing this inside their own top 10 while someguy put this all the way up near the top of his list as his second highest ranking song. All but two participants put this in their top 30 with both taylor is terrified and Kanenrá:ke being left out in the cold.

I love this! The Greatest Hits era is when I became of fan of hers, and was one of the first CDs I ever bought. I bought it while on a 5 week road trip with my family as a little kid, and I have such fond memories of listening to the album over and over. "Back In My Arms Again" is such a great song.

Honestly, "Back In Your Arms Again" deserves a spot in the top 10 based on that musical arrangement in the intro alone. That octave-jumping bass part never fails to send a rush of adrenaline or dopamine or whatever the hell makes you feel like jamming through my veins! Plus the fact that the bass is very much on-the-beat, while all the other instruments are doing things off the beat. It gives this song such a powerful groove!

The next song to exit was a solid top 15 contender for its entire run and received three top 5's including another second place ranking.

“Go Away” was released as the first single to Lorrie’s sixth studio album Shakin’ Things Up and reached #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in late 1997. This also becomes the final song from that album to exit the rankdown. This also remained a solid top 10 contender for most of its run and aside from my initial ranking it only momentarily left that position twice. Three participants bid adieu to a top 5 including someguy and George Strait Junkie along with toomuchboy’s second place ranking. Both taylor is terrified and ClevelandRox also lose a top 10. Everyone ended up putting this in their top 30 except for one (oh hi there @xfer!).

"Go Away" puts all of Lorrie's strengths on full display. She does a particularly great job with sassy, charismatic vocals, and I honestly could not imagine anybody else doing nearly as good of a job with this song as she did. It very much feels like it would run the risk of being perceived as a novelty song, and yet she makes us take it seriously and here it is in the top 10 of her entire career amongst incredibly stiff competition!

I apologize that there are no highlighted album tracks from the album Shakin' Things Up as it is almost impossible to locate anything remotely of good quality online or via streaming.

I love the Shakin' Things Up album, but I think that they absolutely released the wrong second single, and that kind of derailed the project. I know "One Of Those Those Nights Tonight" did fairly well (#14), but it was a pretty fast rise/fast fall that didn't seem to leave much desire for follow-ups from the project. "You Can't Take That" would have definitely been my choice for the second single, and I think it would have set "I'm Not That Easy To Forget" up well to be a hit third single.

“We Both Walk” was released as the first single to Lorrie’s sophomore album Something in Red and was her fourth charting Top 5 hit. This is only the second song to leave the rankdown from that album. While this only received one top five ranking from RobbyFlorida, this did remain a top ten contender for its entire run as it picked up an impressive five top 10 rankings. All but one participant put this win their top 30 leaving taylor is terrified out walking the plank.

"We Both Walk" is stellar. I didn't hear it until later into her career, but it is easily one of my favourite Lorrie songs. The chorus is extremely catchy, and can really get stuck in my head.

“Watch Me” was released as the first single and is the title track to Lorrie’s third studio album. The song peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart in late 1992. Yet again we see one of Lorrie’s top five charting hits leave within’ the top 10, but it did sneak into the top 5 a couple of times as it received an impressive four top five placements from myself, ClevelandRox , bboat11 , and George Strait Junkie . Three others put this in their own top 10 while two others placed this in their top 15. Almost everyone ranked this in their top 20 with Kanenrá:ke just barley placing it there…leaving @xfer out in the cold all by himself.

I really love the hook to "We Both Walk". "When you go, we both walk. You walk away, and I walk the floor" is the type of double-meaning stone-cold country reality check that makes me love this genre so much. I really cannot fathom how taylor is terrified somehow hates all of Lorrie's best songs I am happy to see "We Both Walk" leave now though, because I feel like every song that is left can truly be described as quintessential Lorrie, whereas "We Both Walk" was more like a stepping stone to get to the more iconic places in her career.

It keeps going back and forth between XFER and Carrie tanking Lorrie's hits. 😂

"Watch Me" is another really good song. Lorrie and Tanya Tucker have some similar style songs, and that's one that I can also hear Tanya doing. Probably the most 'Tanya-like' out of all Lorrie's songs, imo.

I had almost all but forgotten how much I loved this song until I was revisiting it for the rankdown and I had it on repeat for what seemed like forever after that. This probably exceeded by expectations a bit and I was happy to see it do as well as it did.

I love everything about "Watch Me", but again the best part has got to be the sassy flair in Lorrie's vocals. She really turns "You think I'll always stay? Oh, just watch me walk away" into a career-defining MOMENT, imo. Like, if I had to pick lines that define who Lorrie is as an artist, the delivery of that hook would be right there among the best moments of her career. I would have loved to see this in the top 5, but then again we are getting to the point where everything that is left is so iconic that there simply is not enough room!

But your taste in Lorrie is literally like putting "I Just Call You Mine" at #1 in a Martina rankdown and then putting "Wild Angels" at #45 But you know I'm just being shady. I'm glad you participated and are learning songs from one of the most iconic and underrated female artists of the early '90s

Well it seems like a full house here so let's reveal the final song to miss the Top 5 shall we. Leaving just four points shy of making it into the top five the next song was almost a top contender for a good run only to get pushed back by you guessed it (not the person you're thinking!).

I hate to see ANY of the remaining songs miss the top 5 :'( But I'm going to guess that it might be "I Didn't Know My Own Strength".
