Welcome to my second artist rankdown! I'm going to continue on with highlighting another artist from the 90's Country era but this time I'm going to showcase a female vocalist and it's none other than the great Lorrie Morgan! This rankdown will encompass 45 songs including her first single which dates all the way back to 1979.
The current due date is Monday, March 2nd so please send me a PM with your songs ranked from #1 (your favorite) down to #50 (your least favorite). Also, anyone that would like to send along some of their favorite album tracks please do as I will be featuring them during the rankdown!

WOW!! What a deadline! LOL I mean, so cool, I don't like being rushed, it's just that it's due date is so far into the future jajajajaja. I will be doing this for sure!
Am I forgetting the titles, or did you not include any song from Letting Go, Slow album?

Lol yes I know the deadline is a bit out there but most rankdowns of this size have an open period of at least 2-3 months so I think I'm providing just about the right amount of time for everyone to complete this. Because this will be nearing the holidays I'm not really planning on doing any extensions as it is. While there are no songs featured from Letting Go...Slow I will be showcasing the album so if you happen to have a particular song(s) that you like please let me know and I'll highlight them! I decided to try and keep this rankdown at a minimum of 40-45 songs but I for sure could've easily expanded it out to more than that lol. |

I’m open to adding five more songs (one from each of those albums plus “The Color of Roses” and a personal selection from me) but I’d also want to make sure someguy would be onboard since he has already submitted a list. Sure, I'm open to whatever you decide. I'm fine with extra songs, but also fine with leaving things as they are  I've gone ahead and added five additional songs so that three more of her studio albums are featured in the rankdown along with "The Color of Roses" from her 2002 live album of the same name. I have also personally selected "War Paint" which is one of my favorite album tracks and a song that I wanted to include anyways. I have updated the songlist up above as well as the Spotify playlist to reflect the changes which brings us up to a total of 50 songs! Here is a list of the additional songs added: "War Paint" "Good Morning Heartache" "The Color of Roses" (studio track version) "Slow" "Come See Me and Come Lonely" (with Pam Tillis) I currently am only able to provide the live recording of "Good Morning Heartache" as no studio version is available, however, I plan on tracking down the album and once I do I'll upload it and provide everyone a link. |

My apologies for the lack of updates for this but I've decided to push this one back a bit. There's quite a few rankdowns that have due dates in close proximity to this and with the holidays right around the corner I figured it would be best to give everyone some breathing room and extend this out to Monday, February 10th with reveals starting up right around Valentines Day! I do want to thank both someguy and Kanenrá:ke for their early lists as we are up to three including mine. Oh, and there are a couple of Christmas songs included in this and both of them have become a staple in my holiday playlist so if you haven't heard these two gorgeous songs be sure to check them out! OMG Queen Lorrie!!!! I am shook by how incredible this list was  I was familiar with her first Greatest Hits cd, but she has so many wonderful hits even beyond that, and it was so nice to finally discover them. Finally submitted! |

Now that everyone is finally settling into the new year it's time to revive this and get the ball rolling again! Since the last update I've received two additional lists from RobbyFlorida and bboat11 to bring the total number of participants to five (including mine). I feel confident we can get into the double digits and I've set a soft goal for about twelve participants. With a new month upon us that means that this rankdown is inching closer to getting underway and with the last update we are now up to seven participants! To say the least the results thus far are quite varied and surprisingly perplexing...so that means I need some more of you to right some wrongs! I’m shooting for a soft goal of ten participants but I don’t see any reason why we can’t get closer to double of what we have now. With it being Oscar night on the weekend that this is due I’m more than likely to give a bit more time, but for now the due date is still set for Monday, February 10th. You’d have to be out of your shoes to miss these great songs so go slow, drink some tequila, and lay back for some trainwreck of emotions! Participants: 1. tim 2. someguy 3. Kanenrá:ke 4. How does one just casually NOT like Lorrie Morgan though? Like, I could understand and respect "I don't know much by her and don't have interest in learning more", but to just NOT LIKE her? Like, wtf did she ever do besides give us some of the most iconic female bops of the late-'80s and early '90s??!

There is absolutely zero rationale for somebody listening to "Five Minutes", "Back In Your Arms Again", "Something In Red", "Except For Monday", "Watch Me", "What Part Of No", "Good As I Was To You", etc. and walk away thinking "Nah fam, she blows."
