Remember when Country had like 6 songs in the Top 40? Except for BRC feature, no Country acts last week and probably not for awhile. The next two closest with a bullet are at IDKAY at 47 and Living at 51, which likely is peaking midweek on Country Airplay. "The Git Up" is in the Top 40. That said, I do see "Even Though I'm Leaving" making the Top 40. And maybe "Remember You Young". True about TGU, but it's only #45 on Country Airplay. Maybe radio will accept it, but I doubt it after 3 months of being stuck in that region. Still that means the only 2 top 40 'country' hits are lead by non-traditional artists, which is hopefully a trend that will continue.

Long-time lurker here who finally got approved yesterday. I've been following the Hot 100 for a while now, and I've decided to try my hand at predicting the top 10 with actual points. Below are my early predictions for the week of 10/5. They probably won't be very accurate, especially because I don’t have much data, but I'm hoping they'll get better over time. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvement or if you catch anything I may miss! Special shoutout to rimetm for doing weekly real-point estimations on the Year-End thread; they’ve been very helpful for predicting changes in each metric! 10/5/19 Early Predictions:Song | Points | 1. Truth Hurts (=) | 37,200 | 2. Señorita (=) | 32,800 | 3. Someone You Loved (+1) | 30,200 | 4. Ran$om (+2) | 28,500 | 5. No Guidance (+2) | 27,400 | 6. Bad Guy (-3) | 26,100 | 7. Panini (-2) | 24,600 | 8. Circles (+1) | 24,100 | 9. Goodbyes (-1) | 23,100 | 10. I Don't Care (+1) | 20,700 | 11. Talk (+1) | 20,200 | 12. Old Town Road (-2) | 20,000 |

God, I hope "Someone You Loved" doesn't go to #1. Such a mediocre, boring song.

I didn't expect "Don't Call Me Angel" or "Graveyard" to last, but... "Camelot"? Really? That mediocre, generic trap song?

How is Camelot that high in predictions? It's not top ten in any streaming platform and the airplay isn't certainly on par with that position either? Is there a super popular video somewhere or a remix or... Top 40 sure, but #24?

Pulse, where every ballad is deemed a Someone Like You duplicate, regardless of lack of similarities beyond tempo.

Camelot is probably getting a lot of views from YT, whilst this song is also doing better on streaming platforms than his other stuff. NLE Choppa tends to do well mostly on YT anyway.

Lil’ Uzi Vert is most DEFINITELY not over as a commercial act, nor has he peaked. He is one of the very few 2010’s Rap acts that I genuinely enjoy. His new album is by far anticipated by Hip-Hop fans and Hip-Hop critics alike. As for 6IX9INE... LMAO. That Man has lost all sense of credibility within the Hip-Hop community (not that he ever had it in the first place) and his new album (whenever that’s released) will more than likely trashed by the media. That said, I have no doubt that many of his “fans” will run to heavily stream it. Drake, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, 21 Savage etc. will all have big eras with their new solo projects, to varying degrees of success. More than likely, as it’s always been throughout this decade, Kendrick Lamar will receive the most acclaim and be religiously praised by music critics alike and win the most awards, whereas Drake will see the most commercial (streaming/chart) success. Uzi continuously pushing back his releases and not showing up to his shows like an asshole has made me lose a lot of respect for him, Wayne and Kanye do the same thing but they are more respected in the community. Uzi isn't in the place in his career yet to pull this kind of shit. Dude is inconsistent, no one knows if it's label meandering or him just being lazy. He has quit music and then dropped a track afterwards. Uzi's only hit under his belt is XO Tour Llif3 and I don't see him ever getting back to that point, I think he'll get a couple more decent sized hits and his album will probably be front-loaded but he'll never be in the same league as Drake or Kendrick as commercially viable.

I'm hoping in Drake's next era he tackles the thorny issues of co-parenting and being a single father while simultaneously maintaining he has five or six more years of being free.

Probably gonna be another album about money and girls. Why change what has worked for like 4 albums in a row now. Remember the kid thing wasn't even suppossed to come out but Kanye had to Kanye...
