^ With Maroon 5's track record on radio, things are looking good for Memories. Personally that song grew on me over time of hearing it again.

I don't think Someone You Loved will go to #1 but a long run in the top 10 is most likely.
Very curious how Adele will perform in the streaming era. I'm managing my expectations because it's a different music landscape now but hoping to be amazed.

Apparently Adele is dropping her single Friday, I think we would of heard something by now but she did kind of drop Hello out of nowhere. So it could be possible.
It would make sense why Katy Perry is dropping her single tomorrow, probably not to get overshadowed by however is releasing this Friday. Not that Katy is gonna do big numbers whether she releases Friday or Wednesday.

Adele is not releasing her single on Friday. Moreover, “Hello” was not ‘released out of nowhere’.
• She released a trailer of for the song on Sunday October 18th during an X Factor UK commercial break.
• She then did a BBC Radio 1 interview on Thursday October 22nd where the song first premiered.
• “Hello” was officially released, Digitally and Physically, Friday 23rd October.
If she was planning to release a single this week then, by all means, there would have been confirmation from either Adele herself, or her P.R team would have contacted legitimate news outlets to report it already.
Also, don’t you think that HDD would have alluded to it several times now if Adele truly was releasing, similar to how they’ve alluded to Rihanna releasing on three different occasions these past two weeks?
Unless we hear something more about it, either on Wednesday or Thursday this week, then I can’t see her releasing anytime soon and I just can’t see her doing a random, surprise release and if she is then it’s only for the mere purpose of garnering big opening sales and streams as it’d be so unexpected.

^ With Maroon 5's track record on radio, things are looking good for Memories. Personally that song grew on me over time of hearing it again. As much as I have loved Maroon 5 over the years, their shtick is slowly, slowly starting to wear off on me. Their songs are just getting too predictably catchy, Levine's voice is getting monotonous, and Memories, while sounding instantly familiar and seems like the type of song I should like, just doesn't pack the same punch for me as some of their other songs.

I would call announcing a single release only 4 days prior and no other major buildup definitely pretty close to "out of nowhere" And once Hello came out, announcing the album would come out just a month later is pretty much all of a sudden as well. Of course there are many different release strategies nowadays, with some artists still adhering to the elaborate rollout campaign months before, but more and more artists are using the surprise blitz strategy with little to no warning. In the last few years, albums released by Beyonce, Drake, and Rihanna, among others, have in fact received zero warning, coming out the day of with no prior announcements. All indications are that Adele will release this year, and given that we are now at the same time of year as her last release, she's likely to repeat that strategy of minimal pre-release buzz, given how well it worked for her.

In recent history, I'm pretty sure that Harlem Shake, Hello, LWYMMD and Old Town Road all had at least 1 week with 1000+ points Wrecking Ball also. All of those songs did have a week with at least 1000 points, except for LWYMMD which was super close. Nothing else from this decade hit the 1000 point mark.

Adele can announce it 30 seconds before Friday, you don't know. Just because Hello was announced 5 days before, doesn't mean anything now. And this lead isn't "out of nowhere", there are rumors and she said that her new album will be out before Christmas, people are expecting her lead single in October/November.
